Excellent experience overall. Having dinner in the garden on a late Oct night was special. And with the best service and extraordinary food that 1770 consistently delivers, it was a really enjoyable night.
Fantastic food and great service as always, its our favorite restaurant in East Hampton!!
Very solid, although somewhat limited, menu featuring local ingredients. Service is impeccable. While not cheap, among the best values of the East End.
Absolutely wonderful food and wine. Looking forward to the next time.
My partner and I had a lovely, romantic time for my birthday at 1770 House. It's a small, beautiful historic inn with an enchanting back garden. The fluke appetizer was especially delicious, as were the oysters. One drawback: we were seated in a grassy area away from the main patio. It was lovely, but we arrived just at dusk and it was hard to see the menu and the food once it got dark. Our water brought us an extra candle, but it was still a challenge to see. I would recommend that the restaurant add some additional lighting around the small table on the side of the building.
Terrific experience, delicious food and JC, our server was awesome! Highly recommend
We had a lovely dinner. The prix menu covered all tastes and we left happy. Portions were perfect and our waiter, Jack, was extremely personable.
Anniversary dinner was planned for a quiet spot with good food and this -lace did not disappoint. There was a little confusion as the menu indicated burrata would be served but we were told this was an add-on with no price indicated. The BLT salad was tasty although frisée is not my favorite L in the BLT. the swordfish was done well and the chocolate soufflé was one of the best I’ve tasted.
Celebrated our wedding anniversary. Seated out on the patio in a beautiful garden setting. Could not have been happier. Setting, service and food are the best in East Hampton, especially for a special occasion.
Great food, service, decor.
Beautiful garden also available.
Place, food, service all wonderful
We had a delicious dinner. Outstanding service …everyone from the maître d’ to our waiter. They know what they are doing at 1770.
I always love eating at 1770 House. Both the food and service are always impeccable and outdoor setting is beautiful.
Great food and service. Lovely outdoor seating.
An outstanding experience throughout. Excellent dinner and perfectly made cocktails. Exceptional service from start to finish. A warm, intimate dining room. Well spaced tables and a limited number of diners. 1770 is very best in East Hampton.
Loved it! Very romantic. Beautiful atmosphere and delicious food. Will definitely be back!
Amazing as always!
Food always delish! Waiter was overly talkative and attentive. Servers were confused about who ordered what at each course.
Outstanding in all the right ways!
Excellent as always!
First two portions were small but good. The Halibut was excellent and good sized. Dining area was somewhat noisy.
Always a pleasure to be here. The food is the best in East Hampton and the whole experience is relaxed yet refined.
Food was outstanding and just perfect for calm and romantic dinners.
Great place for a small intimate dinner. Limited menu but always delicious.
Great food with great service at a beautiful old inn. One of the best places in the Hamptons. Food was fresh and delicious!
At the 1770 House they know how to cook! We had mainly simple dishes (chicken breast, pork rib chop) and they were perfectly done (well, according to my not-too-exquisite palate, at least). The appetizers (first and second courses, in their convention) were also excellent. I had a foie gras, which is never really my favorite, to dream about!
The wine list is a little less than impressive for an upscale restaurant, but you can find some good values among the usually overpriced bottles.
But, overall, we really liked the place and would go back anytime (as soon as I replenish my wallet, that is!)
Great, knowledgeable waiter. We were proud to have been married here 25 years ago
Food is spectacular. Extremely well balanced exquisite dishes
Beautiful outdoor garden. Excellent food.
Food and service outstanding. Perfect for special occasion
AMAZING!! As always, the 1770 House never disappoints. Locally sourced ingredients always work here. Service is beyond, warm, friendly, attentive, special. Simply spectacular!!
Absolutely incredible experience. Ambiance is perfect and feels very old world. Prices fix menu is a great price when considering the quality of the meals offered. Overall perfect!
Outstanding restaurant and service. Food was incredible.
Amazing dinner at 1770. Great food, service, venue, ambiance. Patio wasn’t open when we were there so need to come back for that experience.
FIVE STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautiful anniversary dinner at 1770 House. Dined inside, lovely, quaint… garden was also open. Service impeccable.
When I called to make a reservation for 7:00 o'clock they told me they don't take reservations for 7:00 o'clock!? They could offer 6:15 or 8:45. Although it's earlier than I would normally eat and 8:45 was too late I took the 6:15 opening for outside. When we arrived there were just two tables occupied. At 7:00 (a time we were told was unavailable) two people came in and were sat. When we left the twosome was the only occupied table. Somebody has to explain the reservation policy here.
Spectacular food, service and ambiance!
OMG! One of best restaurants I've ever eaten at. The Chef is in a class by himself. His food pairings were new, interesting, and Perfect.
Open 365 days; I'll be back. Wow! Service was fabulous, ambiance was so quaint. A keeper!
