This evening at 1770 was spectacular! Food was fabulous with many menu selections. And the prix fix pricing was very reasonable. Holiday ambiance was festive and filled with warmth!

Our server was very attentive when he asked around but towards the end of the meal we had to seek him out and wished he checked in more so we could get our check. The food was very good and the ambiance was great.

Meatloaf and sides were WAY oversalted. Cold and damp. Server did not bringdrink and when reminded, said I hadn't ordeted it. Ageism? Rude!

First time indoors at 1770. Perfect evening. Seating and service were excellent; we had a marvelous server. Our meal was very very good indeed; the rabbit was a marvelous change and the soup was excellent. Fluke tartare continues to please. Pasta very good also. Loved seeing Carol to say Hello.

It doesn’t get much better than tucking into the downstairs tavern on a cold Autumn night for an expertly made cocktail and the most delicious meal! After a perfectly shaken ice cold vodka martini and a scotch on the rocks we shared a bright, fresh salad followed by a creative sweet potato-chickpea curry and a juicy cheeseburger with fries. The ambience is dark and cozy, and the staff is warm and accommodating; all great qualities that elsewhere seem to be so hard to come by yet are consistently found here at the 1770 House.

Wonderful ambiance in the Tavern with the ability to order from the main prix fixe menu which we did. The salmon was great but my husband said the halibut, while very tasty, was a bit mushy like a stew. Sauvignon Blanc choice by the glass was not great and we would pass on that next time. Service was top notch; attentive and anticipatory without being obsequious. A lovely evening.

Despite living on the east end for a very, very long time this was my first visit to the Tavern. Sebastian made an incredible dry Martini to start the evening off. The food was delicious. The best salad to start. Halibut was incredible. Nice size portions. The entire restaurant has been so lovingly restored and kept up.

Fabulous menu offering seasonal local specialties. I love their fish! Service impeccable and very romantic. We usually sit upstairs but wanted to sit downstairs in the pub-like restaurant with our South African cousins. We had best time.

The tavern was chanting and cozy. Our server, Ed, made it an incredible experience! He was fantastic; personable; funny; knowledgeable. He had recommendations for each course; explained things clearly. The food was good; but Ed was the best part.

Dining at the 1770 House tavern with dear friends was my birthday treat. From the charming hostess to our waiter, to Michael, the best sommelier on the East End and Michael Rozzi’s superb cooking, the evening could not have been better. The fluke tartare, salmon sashimi, Balsam beet and Halsey apple salad, and wok-seared spicy calamari were incredible and portion size perfect. Burgers all around with a great Pinot Noir, what more could you ask for? Dessert, of course! Sticky toffee date cake, cheesecake, chocolate mousse, and tres leches cake with blueberries. Thank you to everyone at 1770 House for making this old girl’s birthday dinner as special as can be. Much admiration and gratitude for all you do.

Exceptional Meal! Probably one of the top 3 dinners ever in the US! Food was amazing. The appetizer of foisgras was silky smooth and buttery. Steak was cooked perfectly. Service was wonderful without feeling rushed at all. Great wine list and they offer Sauternes by the glass which was perfectly paired with the appetizer!

Outstanding in every way! Both my wife and I had the salmon sashimi appetizer and the halibut and both dishes were delicious. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and described each menu item. My wife has food allergies and the waiter was able to suggest good options and also had the kitchen modify the sashimi so that it did not affect her allergy. The chocolate mousse was very tasty as well. Clearly the best restaurant in the Hamptons!

We were sat downstairs in the cold empty Tavern, which I wouldn’t recommend. The only choice was an 80 dollar pp two course set menu; and i didnt want or like anything on the Starter menu but had to have it anyway! The Tavern menu on their website is 5 years out of date apparently, and I only booked this based on those options. The Server was sweet and tried to be helpful. There are many more good restaurants to choose from locally.

This is a beautiful location with excellent friendly attentive service and a nice ambience. The food is good, but not exceptional. if you are just going for the food it might not be worth it. If going for the entire dining experience I recommend it.

Good food good service nice atmosphere was a quiet night so was a very private dining experience we have eaten here many times over the years and the experience is consistently great. One of the best meals we had out here .
