Wanted an intimate dinner for two. Everything was wonderful. Only concern was the very loud jazz band playing in other restaurant in the hotel. It took away from the experience of this beautiful facility. Thursday night is jazz night at hotel Bethlehem. Pick another night in you'd like the experience to be perfect.

I love to hear jazz musicians...just not at that volume.

For the second time this place did not disappoint me.My family treated me for my 50th birthday,it's their first time and when I told them about my previous experience that they wanted to try the place. We are not foodies but my family wanted to try different places. And just like me they were not disappointed. Our server If I remember correctly her name was Donna, she was very nice she took the extra mile and served us creme brûlée with a candle for me to blow (my mom insisted).Plus the ambiance, the nice view ,the staff and their new wine selection. We will try their brunch next time...Thanks

The service was great, the staff was very attentive. Atmosphere was very unique, probably one of the few places around with a good amount of historic, old world charm.

Food was very good and was served hot. A bit dissapointed the dish I ordered did not at least come with a vegetable side. Guess that's their idea of leaving room for dessert.

We ate in the Terrace, which is a very large room with a high ceiling. Can get noisy.

Overall, a very good dining experience all around.

We visited September 6, 2017. We had dinner at 1741 Terrace and stayed onsite, at the beautiful Historic Hotel Bethlehem. The food, service and atmosphere was excellent! The city of dowtown Bethlehem itself is incredible for its history, friendliness and small-town feel. You should visit!

Before our dinner, we did have a round of drinks in the Tap Room. Very nice too for more casual dining. Dinner was excellent at the 1741 Terrace. I had the Octopus salad and grilled swordfish for dinner.

Lovely dining room in a landmark hotel; attentive service; very good food; able to talk without loud music blaring; generous space between tables for privacy. Would definitely go again. Worth the drive from the PA Shakespeare Festival ( only 7 miles).

First time here to dine. I wanted to do something special for our 30th wedding anniversary. The restaurant totally accommodated my request for special seating next to a window and also did a very nice complementary glass of champagne for both of us! Dinner was delicious and gourmet. We both had beef, filet for my wife and sirloin for me. Served with grilled asparagus and a delicious potato, which we wished was served with more! I had the fried oyster appetizer which was also delicious and my wife had a Caesar salad which was very light and tasty. We finished off with splitting a creme brulee. The atmosphere is astounding with beautiful architecture and soaring windows that provide a wonderful view of the streets of Bethlehem. It's a great place to people watch. The only down fall for us was that being July 4th, most of the shops were not open, so we had to spend our day elsewhere and then come here for dinner. The doormen were very nice and helpful as well providing us with a parking spot right next to the door. Service was very good, though I must say I would have appreciated a bit more attention, as we ran out of butter and needed more. Also was a bit disappointed that they did not have my favorite bourbon (Blanton's) so I had to settle for Woodford Reserve. I could thing of worse things to have to deal with! LOL All in all, a wonderful experience for a special occasion and I would highly recommend dining here. We will be back, perhaps for a full day in Bethlehem and shopping in town finished off with a nice meal here.

Went here for a "Restaurant Week"special dinner. There were limited specials for this restaurant week promotion. This is a very elegant dining experience. Even with limited choices the quality and presentation was outstanding. At no time were we rushed. Service was excellent. This is a high class restaurant that is highly recommended for special occasions.

My bf and I came here for a date night on a Friday at 7:30 and it was definitely worth it. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. We got the seasonal bass with two soups and split an app which was more than enough. We love to dress up but you can dress business comfortable as well. Would highly recommend!

Great evening. We were seated promptly, the restaurant was a full house. Stephanie was our server, she was friendly, helpful and overall wonderful attitude. We had a delicious cheese plate with our cocktails and then a great dinner of soft shell crabs with wine. Stephanie also makes some of the desserts and we tried one, delicious. Will definitely return when in town. A great unhurried night out

Food was prepared excellently. Seating was as requested with a picturesque view of Main Street. Complimentary champagne was delicious. All in all, it was an evening to remember. We will return frequently.

We love the 1741 Terrace. However it was not their best night. I suspect that they were short of help.

They had a limited menu for Mother's Day. We were not in a hurry at all and they offered us a glass of champagne for our anniversary. We were seated at one of the best tables for the view of downtown Bethlehem.

We ordered an appetizer - great shrimp cocktail. Then waited over an hour for the entree - which we ordered later and the filet came out properly but the fish was wrong. After the wait we decided to split the filet. They offered us dessert and made the evening whole by making the bill correct.

It's not how you start it is how you finish. The night was still a success and in the big scheme of things the small inconvenience was handled well by the management and I will still visit the 1741 Terrace for a romantic great meal.

Hadn't been to Hotel Bethlehem in a few years. We were disappointed.

Food was just okay - nothing special. Our dinner when served was actually just warm, not hot, as it should have been.

Also felt service was slow. Seemed to take a long time before someone would notice you needed something - e.g. like a glass of wine or even water???

Wish it would have been better, but unfortunately it wasn't. We won't be coming back.

The place is beautiful and we were celebrating a special birthday. This was mentioned both with the reservation and to the waiter and nothing was done to acknowledge it. The food was good. Not great and what I would have expected here for the prices. 24.00 for a martini is obscene. The waiter while nice coughed at our table multiple times into his hand making me a bit skeevy about the fact that he was then going to touch my food. It was not crowded and the views were amazing from the terrace. I would come back to give it another chance Biggest disappointment was lack of attention to our birthday person

We had a lovely evening, celebrating a wedding anniversary at 1741. Our server was very personable and knowledgeable of the chef's selections. Artisan cheese plate was a great start. Lamb chops were excellent and skate wing, a chef's special, was perfectly presented. We finished with creme brulee and a Bailey's chocolate cake that were just big enough. Our reservation was at 6:15, we were seated promptly, and we owned it for the next 3 hours. Would definitely return for another special occasion.

We could only meet for a late snack, but we were graciously accommodated at 7:30. We enjoyed a cocktail, delicious seafood tomato chowder, and a very tasty chocolate cake with Bailys cream topping.
The pianist, Paul Brazzo, was a true delight adding to the relaxed atmosphere of the evening.
Stef is a fun and experienced server, too.
