Delicious meal, very friendly staff and beautiful historic restaurant.
Loved our dinner although the vegan options were just ok. Probably a top place for meat.
Dinner and the ambiance was terrific! Bob, our waiter, was superb! Highly recommend this restaurant!
Food is really good. Awesome service. Only thing I found to dissatisfaction were the apps. Over priced for what they give you.
Lovely dining room with huge windows. Bob, there waiter, was excellent. Enjoyed the parsnips with the steak.
I love the hotel and this restaurant. Service and food were excellent!!
We went on a Tuesday and almost had the place to ourselves. The dining room is very pretty and the view was lovely. Our server Donna was awesome! The haddock was delicious.
Beautiful table overlooking the downtown area, waitress (Donna) was outstanding, food was delicious. Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, looking forward to our next dinner at the Terrace.
1741 is a fantastic dining experience. The room itself looks out over Main St in an almost atrium like setting. The service was attentive without being overwhelming and everyone was friendly and helpful. The food was good and well prepared and the dessert was fantastic.
Limited menu offered for Valentine’s Day weekend. While good, it wasn’t communicated prior to arrival
Great experience! Our waitress was wonderful, our food and drinks were delicious. Considering it was a holiday weekend and we were celebrating Valentine’s Day, the Hotel Bethlehem was perfect! Thank you!
We had made reservation a month in advance and also called in to confirm reservation. When we arrived and on time, we had to wait for an additional 30 minutes! The food was okay but slow to serve.
Beautiful in every respect from the food to the service and finally the Hotel it self. Truly an enjoyable experience
Beautiful atmosphere for dinner for our Anniversary!
Excellent lovely experience , wonderful food and service.
I took a friend to the restaurant who had never been there before. She was so impressed that she wants to come back in the summer and for Christmas. It's always a wonderful experience, great ambience, service and food.
Fabulous food and attentive wait staff. The beautiful setting is also a plus.
Great service. Beautiful setting.
This was a perfect New Year's Eve afternoon dinner. We loved our window table, which we requested. There were fireworks, horse & carriage rides, street decorations for us to watch during dinner. My husband's Caesar salad was refreshingly chilled & fresh. I adored the creamy cauliflower & brie soup which was garnished with shitakes. We both loved the lobster ravioli with butter poached lobster meat & baby shrimp. Creme brulee was a sweet treat to end our meal.
We had a nice time. The Bn eed for side dish veggies would help.
Wonderful dinner to celebrate the holidays with a fantastic view of the Moravian Star and Downtown Bethlehem. The service was superb and the food and cocktails were top notch.
Beautiful location. Food was good but not great for the price.
We have been to 1741 several times and are never disappointed. We even had a recommendation from Chef Adams this time for Bronzino, which was excellent. We will be back!
Christmas Eve in Bethlehem!
Third time here. Was not as busy as past visits. Service was beyond awful. Cocktails were tasteless with no alcohol. Portion sizes were a joke for the price. After 20 minutes and 2 cups of coffee we told the waiter to forget dessert and bring the check.
Many thanks to Grace for helping us fix our open table reservation. Donna, our server, was knowledgeable, attentive and very sweet. The terrace never fails to please.
Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Food and service was lovely.
Server Donna exceptional...
Always impeccable visit....
Hotel Bethlehem makes you feel like a Queen...
Food was good. We had an 8 o’clock reservation, which we made almost a month before, didn’t get seated till 8:20. Chairs were horrible and table was uneven. Felt like we were shoved in a corner but there were empty tables. Waiter didn’t get to us for another 10 mins. Waiter was very nice. He came poured the wine and left for what felt like another 10 minutes. We didn’t get rolls and butter till at least 8:45 and only one per person. Waiter dropped a drink and it took at least 15 minutes to get a new one which tasted horrible. When food finally came it was good but not a lot of it. It was very noisy, couldn’t hear waiter when he talked.
Excellent service and food. We both enjoyed the Christmas decorations. We had a wonderful time.
Christmas dinner with co-workers
Overall very enjoyable. However, did not appreciate bus boy clearing individual plates before others at table were not finished. Also, steak was served without a steak knife and one serving without a fork. Minor issues, but makes the difference between 4 and 5 stars!
Always enjoy our visit to the Hotel Bethlehem especially at Christmas. The food was terrific.
Hotel Bethlehem is so beautiful at Christmas time and dining in 1741 was so relaxing and the dinning room is decorated so nice . The service was excellent and the food was very well prepared. Very enjoyable!
Although we've visited Bethlehem before, this was our first time as hotel guests. And as the main purpose of this trip was to show my 95 year-old mother-in-law some of the town's Christmas happenings, we decided to take our dinners close to home, meaning in the hotel. We tried 1741 Terrace first. In a word, excellent! Started with cocktails, including the hotel's version of the Sazerac, said to the country's oldest mixed drink. Here, it's made with Bulleit rye whiskey, served neat, and was very good! We were deciding on appetizers, and ordered the cheese plate, which was actually enough to serve the three of us. Several local cheeses come with pear butter, almonds, a mostarda and some crostini (toasts). While I don't usually order chicken, as most preparations are ordinary, this one was out of the ordinary. An organic bone-in breast was cooked perfectly, served over swiss chard and accompanied by five butternut squash ravioli and hazelnuts. My wife was happy with her branzino, served over kale, with roasted pears, and my mother-in-law polished off the daily special, consisting of two very meaty crabcakes. We skipped dessert. Can't wait to return and try some other dishes.
We were Visiting Bethlehem for the weekend and dined at 1741 on Sunday evening. There was only one waiter taking care of many tables, but despite that he was very attentive and we served in a timely manner. The food was excellent, atmosphere was so pleasant and an all around nice holiday experience. We would highly recommend.
The best great food great place
Service was very good. Food was good. It's so beautiful at Christmas time. We had a gorgeous by the window.
