Good meal. Nothing special that makes me anxious to return. Ate here tonight because we were going to a concert at Toyota Center
I had a reservation which was confirmed and the restaurant didn’t even open that night due to low hotel occupancy so I wAsted time...gas....then had to pay for parking. They never called.
A very nice, laid back restaurant with a really good steak and very reasonable by the glass wine selection. I would definitely recommend and go back
I think the restaurant was over loaded by the concert crowd..
The food was good but the service was some of the best I have ever received. I would dine there again in a heart beat.
salmon came out cold, no time to recook before going to concert.
Mother’s Day brunch was outstanding. Great service. Staff made it very special and lots of wonderful food choices.
Overall good experience. The restaurant is in the Lobby of the hotel...so lots of activity and varied style of dress.
While the ambiance and service were good, the pricing is really high and the food was just okay. There are much better restaurants close by with awesome food, huge servings, and better selections to meet most dining needs. If this is the only place available due to convention or large event, then you should be okay.
We attempted to dine at 1600 Bar + Grille before an event at Toyota Center. Our reservation was 1.5 prior to the event and we arrived on time. We were seated promptly. Our waitress initially arrived quickly with waters and to take our beverage order. However, after we placed our food order she disappeared. We waited 45 minutes for our food order, never had a refill on our water, and were ignored by several other waitstaff. Unfortunately we had to leave without eating. After informing management we were told that we shouldn't have ordered off the menu, but should have had the buffet instead. We were never told about a buffet, but for the $$ price and reviews of this restaurant, we would not have wanted to spend $30 on a buffet anyhow. Hope you have better luck if you try this place out.
The best service came from the manager. He was great!
We arrived an hour and a half before our show thinking it was plenty of time. Think again! We ended up leaving at 7:40 without having eaten a thing. Our waiter came to us 40 minutes after we ordered to say the kitchen was backed up. We let him know our time constraint and he disappeared and we never saw him again. All around us people came and were served. We didn’t even get a breadstick. Never going back.
My daughter and I ate here prior to attending a concert at Toyota Center. They had a buffet which was quick, easy and varied. Food was good, service was decent, can't complain. Best thing, this restaurant was within walking distance of Toyota Center! Would definitely consider dining here again next time. Restaurant is in the hotel lobby so there is a lot of commotion going on ... we had reservations so were seated right away, folks walking in without reservations were told they would have a 30 minute wait.
The buffet was nice . The poor waitress kept checking in my drink and apologizing. The bar was very slow
So very disappointing with our experience last night!
It was apparent the restaurant was not prepared with the large crowd that came for dinner before a concert at the Toyota center. Our party of 6 was there for over an hour and a half. Appetizers were the only food we saw.
I felt bad for the service staff who were trying to do their best but the kitchen was not keeping up.
We had an exceptional meal and service before our event at the Toyota Center.
Enjoyed the buffet. The desserts were okay but the man n dishes were very good.
The restaurant manager David Tinsley was awesome!!!
Great food and great environment.
Much better experience this time. Service was timely. Food was better than the average hotel dining room. We come to stay overnight at the Hilton and eat here before concerts we are attending at Toyota Center.
This is just what you would expect from a hotel lobby restaurant. Absolutely nothing great. Food was mediocre and very small portions. Spent almost $200 on an appetizer, dinner and two drinks each for 2 people.
Hostess stand was great. Table servers were awful. The servers provided no value at all. Had to ask buss staff for refills, straws etc. was very surprised with such poor servers at such a nice restaurant.
The hostess’s were friendly and very helpful. The buss staff was great as well.
Definitely not worth the price. Very expensive for quality that is barely a step above Motel 6 continental breakfast.
Happy new year.
Great spot to connect and do business over eggs and coffee
I enjoyed the Christmas Breakfast Buffett.
Good food and professional staff. Wide choice if healthy options. Thank you!
We went for breakfast with Santa and we had a great time. I can’t wait to do this again next year.
Annual Christmas Dinner and Show
Very busy because of concert goers. To be expected (but apparently not by hotel because service was very slow). Would think they would have more staff on hand to accommodate the pre-concert rush.
Service was horrible especially at the buffet. We were seated near the buffet and we could see when no one was at the table to serve the beef many times. Ran out of salad and no one was checking . Makes you wonder if things are kept well and temperatures ok for food quality.
We had dinner there before the Elton John concert. We all had the buffet & it was delicious. Lots of choices!
I’ve eaten here twice recently. The Sunday brunch is AMAZING! Tons of choices and all delicious. I also had a light dinner here and really enjoyed the citrus salad. It was very fresh with very sweet fruit. Perfect.
We attended the Thanksgiving meal at 1600 Bar + Grill. The food offerings were varied and all delicious, with plenty of gluten free choices. The waitress did check on us time time to make sure our needs were met. It was a touch noisy, but I chalk that up to the festivity of the season! I may never cook for Thanksgiving again...
Best Thanksgiving Day Brunch in Houston. We've done it twice and the food is unbelievable. This year my brother and nephew were in town so we all went. Everything is top notch. Service is impeccable. They have the traditional Thanksgiving dinner and sides with prime rib as well. Then they have a huge breakfast buffet with EVERYTHING you can imagine including an omelet bar. A HUGE fresh seafood bar with fresh jumbo shrimp, king crab, Crab Eggs Benedict, oysters, lobster, baked and smoked salmon, etc. The desserts are amazing. The drinks are incredible.... I love the mimosas! At $54.95 per person the price is actually quite reasonable for the quality and choices of food and drink available. Definitely give it a try if you don't want to cook. You won't have the traditional leftovers but you won't need them anyway. We ate at 1pm and I still wasn't hungry until the next afternoon.
Great food very good service. We have gone to the Thanksgiving Buffet numerous times, and it is always a great experience.
Good service food was ok nothing special
Great service! Kitchen was a little slow but the manager and the server took care of us. The braised short rib Mac n Cheese is AMAZING!!! Plenty for two to share with an appetizer!
Wonderful attentive staff , great food and quiet. Perfect for business lunch or meeting.
We decided to try 1600 since it was close to the Toyota Center and we were going to an event afterward. We arrived at 5pm, just as the restaurant was opening for dinner. We had intended to order from the menu, but opted for the buffet. It was a fresh selection(since it was early) and a nice variety of food offering from bread to salads, to fruits, to entree, to the desserts. Nothing sexy here, just good food in a nice quiet atmosphere. Remember, it was early in the evening so it may become more energetic later as it gets a little more crowded. We would return again and can recommend. The buffet was $24.95 per person that evening.
Food great service sucked. Manager was kind when I complained and they comped the meals. Food excellent and I would return.
