Enjoy days with beautiful weather and your meal outside on 1515 Restaurant & Lounge's sunny patio.
I was really surprised. This place was top notch. Maybe the bad food stems from short staffing? The waiter saved the day. We were seated no one came. My husband had to tell the lady at the front to send someone over. The waiter was awesome. He made a difference. Although, the food was not good at all….Deviled eggs just flopped on the plate on top of bacon. It just tasted sour. Scallops were fishy and the salad was not fresh at all…. The waiter was very attentive, personable and kind.
Also, My hubby’s burger was ok. And who can fail on fries? They did. We’ve had better experience before. I don’t know what happened?
Our pasta entree was so spicy that we could not eat it. The description did not indicate it would be drenched in red pepper flakes. The server did offer to have it remade, but we did not have time to have this done.
Our table was outside. At 5:30 there were very few patrons, yet as soon as our meal arrived the restaurant turned on booming hipster music. It was so loud that my dinner companion and I could no longer converse.
Had a team lunch on the patio, it was great. Will definitely consider this again.
Great service and food. We will be back.
This could be a nice place. Food is good but the service is sub par and ruins the experience. Maybe I was just unlucky and got a bad waiter. Bet there are some basics when it comes to restaurants: One of them is that you should not serve the food before the wine has been served. I want to enjoy my wine WITH my food, not after my food. And I don't want to have to ask 4 times and finally get up and ask a fifth time.
Food was very good. Service was slow and only about 5 other tables were occupied.
Had the same 2 dishes as last time but with a different pasta and a different drink. Gonna have to branch out cause the potential for good food is great.
Had the Garlic (not shoestring) Fries, (lots of garlic) and the 12in. Meat Lovers Pizza with lots of water and Clase Azul. Service was great as was the Pizza
Last visit I had an OUTSTANDING Chicken Piccata, this time it was the Street Tacos as suggested by Jasmine (3chicken3beef) she likes Chicken I like Beef. I noticed last visit they pour Clase Azul so I had some this visit. Got a Meat Lovers Pizza to go for am friend who could not come, I later got 2 pieces and it was pretty darned good. Jasmine has gotten much better as a server.
Great food & service too!
Dressed up for a nice dinner date, typically $$$ means something fancy but not crazy expensive and while the price was great, this felt a little too relaxed. I felt over dressed in a collared shirt while people wore flip flops
Started with the Modern Margarita-Tasty...had two. Then the 1515 Salad which was also Tasty. Then the Fish & Chips with Garlic Fries, what can I say-Tasty, will be back as I saw other menu items I would like to try based on this experience.
The food was only so-so. The shoestring fries name is very misleading. They are regular fries.
But the server was very nice when they messed up an order and got us the correct item instead.
It’s so nice to be able to go out again and have dinner with my husband. Service was excellent, food was excellent and the menu choices were amazing. I’m very happy to be able to go out and we will be back!
Went in for Mother’s Day lunch
Food was fantastic, server was nice.
Slow service. Server was scarce. Food was ok.
Food and cocktails drinks were very good. All staff was nice and friendly and made sure we had all we needed.
birthday date for me
Food was excellent, as always. Could've used 1 or 2 more wait staff that night. Only 2 to handle both indoor and outdoor was insufficient for the number of tables to handle.
The food was really spectacular. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was ok but the food will have me coming back next time I’m in town.
Great food and service, but very expensive! They need a happy hour, we were there at 5:00, on a Tuesday.
Always such great food here!
Sat outside and enjoyed the view!
The staff was very attentive. It was an overcast day and they made sure we were comfortable with the propane heaters. The food took awhile to get to us even though there was only us and another table occupied...but given that they just reopened - and we were happy to be set free...we will return...
Super noisy music blasting and cars speeding by running the red light and yelling at the crowd. Plastic cups for wine and generally a mess.
Loving the live music outside on the patio! I hope they keep it.
We’ve enjoyed 1515 any number of times before COVID. Because of the pandemic, all seating is now outside. We’re okay with that but the tables and chairs are in the street and the improvements are minimal. Service was slow. One of our meals was good and the other not so much.
It was the first time to 1515 in Walnut Creek. There were 4 of us, and all of us enjoyed our lunch and will go back again! 5 Stars across the board.
They service was good. The food was fine. I used my certificate for $50 and at first they said they were no longer accepting it. They finally did but it made us feel uncomfortable. I have earned my points over the years, made a reservation, and they were ready to not accept it, despite company policy. Glad they did. Beware....
Food was delicious, service was awesome and the vibe was high energy.
The bathrooms were disgusting. Used feminine products in the floor, dirty paper towels every where, overflowing trash. Makes you wonder about safe food handling in the kitchen. Waiter struggled to remember our orders. Food was okay. Doubt I would go back.
We sat on the patio. Our service was extremely slow. We visited a couple nights earlier and sat in the bar area. Same thing. They were not busy so that’s not the reason. Plus part of our order was wrong
The food is good. The happy hour menu is a great value with a lot of choices
Food was very good and service vary attentive and quick. Everything a little pricey but that is typical for downtown Walnut Creek. Only thing I did not enjoy was the decibel level which I am sure was exasperated by all the hard surfaces.
When I made the reservation for 4 for dinner, I wasn’t expecting to be seated at a community table in the bar. It was so loud we had to move. Service was very slow. We had to ask for our waitress when we wanted to order. I think because we moved, the waitresses were confused.
As for the food, the calamari was good but a small portion, the oysters had a couple pieces of shell but were good as well
The entrees on the other hand weren’t very good. The fish and chips were inedible as they were too fishy. The scallops also tasted fishy and rubbery. The lamb chops were covered in a pomegranate reduction that should have been served on ice cream
I don’t think I will be going back
We have been here many many times, but this last visit was not up to par. The service was really slow. We constantly had to flag the girl down to get more drinks. We ended up skipping dessert which we normally do because of such slow service.
Very Busy place for Monday night, unlike most of the other restaurants nearby. Food was very flavorful, 2 had Chicken Marsala and 1 the Jambalaya. All were excellent with reasonable portions (2 took some home).
The service was a bit slow but we did have 2 different waitstaff come by to updated us and apologize for the slow delivery, which was appreciated. The room with the bar was very noise while the room we ate in next door was still pretty noisy.
Wine list was not large but well selected with good choices available. We have enjoyed eating on the outdoor patio and if the weather is nice it is a good option.
Our waiter was awsome!
I ordered the rosotto, but it was too spicy for me, and he didn’t even hesitate to take it back and I ordered the chicken piccata. It was yummy.
The overall service was great and we enjoyed ourselves and definitely will be back.
Went for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately the food was terrible. Being a pre-set menu you’d think the food would be dialed in. Brussels sprouts for our appetizer looked and tasted microwaved. My sea bass was hard and stringy. The sauce watery. I couldn’t even finish it. My lobster soup tasted good but was luke warm at best. Either that wasn’t microwaved long enough or there’s a serious health violation with keeping the soup too cold. Overall very disappointed in the quality of the food.
Friendly service, but the food was ok due entree was warm mostly on the cold.
