About 15 Point Road
15 Point Road, A special treat in Portsmouth Rhode Island along the Sakonnet River. Busy, but not crowded, 15 Point offers casual upscale dining with an enchanting moonlit river view. A traditional menu, strongly influenced by the local bounty (especially from the sea), pleases most everyone and house specialties are an ever-changing eclectic delight of innovative and contemporary dishes. Once inside you will be entranced by the view of the Sakonnet River which leads out to the ocean beyond through the panorama of windows. While enjoying Al Fresco dining on our deck, across the river you will occasionally notice the local fishing boats as they make their way to the Tiverton fish market. If you're lucky enough, you might even catch one of the local lobstermen heading out to tend his lobster traps in Mount Hope Bay!

15 Point Road Ratings and Reviews
It is no exaggeration that 15 Point Road provides tremendous value, but more importantly they are very accommodating and focused on customers enjoying their experience. We were a rather large party and were given a prime table with a water view. The setting is classic seaside, with the water outside your window and very refreshing, clean classic nautical design. As for food, the deconstructed beef Wellington is a must try. Desserts looked equally attempting, however, as the second part of the celebration was taking place elsewhere, we were not able to choose from the tempting list. This is truly a neighborhood gem but also a Rhode Island/New England gem! I very much hope to return there if not during the summer then during the last warm summer days in September!
From the meeting moment we walked in the door, everything was perfect. We got a friendly welcome, our name was pronounced correctly and we were led right to our table. The bathroom was immaculate-which indicates attention to detail. The service was attentive and the food and beverages were excellent! Couldn't have asked for a better night out.
Have been many times. The last 2 have been disappointing. One was restaurant week and we had a table upstairs on folding chairs. A man fell on the uneven floor. This time felt hurried and my seafood had a strong fish smell that I couldn't eat it. The waitress did apologize for bringing meal before done with salad. Will try again always enjoyed before.
We dine here about 2-3 times per month and are never disappointed. Table is always ready at the appointed time, no waiting even though it is always busy. The service is friendly and the chef is always happy to modify any menu item. And the food, service and ambiance is great.
We were in RI for a music festival and had the opportunity to dine at 15 Point Road last year with the entire festival group. We were blown away by the food and the ambience so decided it would be a "must" for dinner even though there would be no event scheduled there this year.
We were not disappointed! The food and service was first rate. Sean (owner) came over several times during the evening to ensure that our needs were taken care of. The noise level was fine for conversation around our table of six and the views were great. The food was every bit as good as we remembered and then came....dessert.
Let's just say all selections were incredible but if the topic of beignets should come up, I will put 15 Point Road right up there with any from the French Quarter!
Thanks to Sean and his excellent staff for making our last night in RI a memorable one.
Another one of my favorite restaurants - set so that you can watch the water from your table. Great entrees and reasonable wines. Outdoor seating is really nice. The only downside is that there is limited parking and if you park on the street (within very faded NO PARKING signs, you will be ticketed.
This was our third dining experience at 15 Point Road and like the others it did not disappoint.
The food was excellent and the service was on point. My daughter had arranged for wine and desert for us via a phone call from out of state, and the manager was ready and made it special.
I have used the floral on-line ordering in the past and the house treats it as if it were provided by them. Very nice place to eat. It has become our new favorite restaurant.
We had a wonderful evening! Service was exceptional including the recommendations for our meals. We started with some yummy stuffies for an appetizer and they also brought out fresh bread with roasted garlic olive oil. My husband had an espresso martini with the Steak Diana and I had a chocolate martini with Mount Hope Seafood. We were supposed to share but neither one of us wanted to trade! Great value for the price, each meal came with a starch, vegetable and salad with homemade dressing. Everything was superb! Can't wait to go back!
This was our first visit to this restaurant, but looking forward to going back. They take advantage of the view by seating as many people as they can facing out to the river. There is a patio, but it was a little to cool for us although there were some people seated out there. We started by sharing the baked brie appetizer and recommend it. We both loved our entrees, the seafood casserole and the shrimp scampi. One big plus was that a side salad came with our dinners. The dessert menu had so many great choices and we are hoping we will have room for dessert the next time we go back.
I had the duck special and would rate amongst the best duck dishes I've eaten. Duck was crispy while still moist and flavorful. Mashed potatoes great as was the ratatouille. My date had the lobster and penne dish and it delicious. The wine selection is not extensive but balanced to the available dishes.
Sharon and Marcie offered us great service and hospitality. Hostess did as well.
Wine was amazing; St. Francis and every item that came to our table was delectable, and the presentation on point. Lobster Bisque, Clam Chowder both amazing. Lobster Mac and cheese, and Mt Hope Seafood plate are recommended.
The ambiance was perfect; amber lighting and Cape Cod decor. Similar to Scoma in Saucelito, CA.
This restaurant was new to in our group. Super friendly and efficient staff. The best Bloody Mary's, served with a large shrimp hanging off the glass. We all got different entrees and each one was delicious. Fried food was perfect--not heavy or greasy. Spectacular view! Can't wait to go back!!
The food is prepared and served beautifully. This is our favorite place to celebrate our anniversary or other special occasions. We enjoyed the water views from the outdoor deck this time, but the ambience indoors is also delightful. We would recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone.
