About 15 Point Road
15 Point Road, A special treat in Portsmouth Rhode Island along the Sakonnet River. Busy, but not crowded, 15 Point offers casual upscale dining with an enchanting moonlit river view. A traditional menu, strongly influenced by the local bounty (especially from the sea), pleases most everyone and house specialties are an ever-changing eclectic delight of innovative and contemporary dishes. Once inside you will be entranced by the view of the Sakonnet River which leads out to the ocean beyond through the panorama of windows. While enjoying Al Fresco dining on our deck, across the river you will occasionally notice the local fishing boats as they make their way to the Tiverton fish market. If you're lucky enough, you might even catch one of the local lobstermen heading out to tend his lobster traps in Mount Hope Bay!

15 Point Road Ratings and Reviews
15 Point Rd is one of our most favorite restaurants. It's our "Go To" restaurant whenever we meet friends. We have tried almost everything on the menu. We have never been disappointed with any single meal.
I love the open table method of making a reservation. It's always simple and easy.
Like the ocean theme atmosphere, food was creative and delicious. Went w my wife and 2 daughters and all enjoyed our meals. We finished off w a creme brûlée desert was so good we ended up order 2nd's. Waitress was great and friendly. Prices are average considering the prices of seafood are higher. Great choice and will come back again!
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and the different selection of entrees. The prices were very reasonable. The wine list was extensive and not ridiculously priced as you find at some restaurants. We happen to be in the area, which is why we selected this restaurant. However, we live an hour away and would drive back to have dinner there again!
First time at this resturant and was very impressed . Service was outstanding , greeted as soon as we walked in .We had a drink at the bar the bartender was very engaging. Food was delious , they accommodated my dairy intolerance and our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. The view was wonderful and they had a good wine list. I highly recommend this resturant and we will become regulars...
I never leave reviews; but the food was terrible. It was so bad that I couldn't eat eat my entree after the first bite (Baked stuffed shrimp). My husband had the swordfish and he couldn't finish his either. I should also mention that he actually was sick after wards. For the prices they charge, that is simply unacceptable.
Will never go back.
To be honest, I have had better meals at 15 Point. We go several times a month and this meal was not the best meal I have had there. I had the pot roast and the meat was very dry. It came with carrots and fingerling potatoes swimming in a soup-like salty broth. I ate the carrots and potatoes and brought the meat home for the dog. Too bad, because it was a special that night. I ordered the Bananas Foster for dessert and although it said it came with vanilla ice cream, it did not. It was $7, it should have had the ice cream. Very disappointing dinner.
I chose 15 Point for my birthday celebration with my wife. It was a lovely evening overlooking the Sakonnet, great food - sweet potato crusted salmon with polenta and asparagus - complimented with the evening Belgian wheat beer draft special. The surprise ending was two desserts called in by a friend as a birthday gift: a gluten free chocolate cake for my wife and a chocolate lava cake for me.
We will be going back Sunday night with our two year old granddaughter! Last time she tasted her first cherry tomato here, and the waitress then brought her a plate of sliced cherry tomatoes. Great service.
We visited last summer and greatly enjoyed our meal and experience at 15 Point Road. We decided to return this year. The dinner was good but didn't quite live up to our memory of last year's excellent dinner. One of our appetizers was forgotten until we mentioned it after having already been served the salads. They brought it and it was delicious. We had a wonderful table overlooking the water and the staff was friendly and efficient except for the blip on the appetizer.
The main seating area is beautiful. They have Windows all across so you can look out to the river. You can have a table outside on the nice deck but we sat inside. There was different items to choose from. Not just seafood. But the food was excellent! Drink list was also very good. Our waitress made our first experience there enjoyable. She had a really good attitude. Cracked a few jokes with us. And explained everything so well. We will definitely be coming back!
This was our third time dining there. It is our favorite in the area. I would like so see more seating available outside especially for cocktails. The food and service were very good. We took friends with us and we were not rushed and the pace was comfortable.
Reservation (6:15 Wednesday) was ready when we arrived, seated immediately. Enjoyed a cocktail and time to catch up before ordering. Food presentation was good, each of us had a different entree, general consensus - Very good! Coffee and dessert topped off a very nice evening. After 7ish the inside tables began to fill, seemed like a short wait for outside tables.
Staff was very pleasant, helpful with questions on menu items. We will return before the summer is over.
Ate here on New Year's Eve, the prix fixe menu was limited but everything was really good. This time not so much, my drink was awful, sent it back... still wrong, it's a menu item I've had there and other restaurants and tonight they couldn't get it right ( the waitress even said so ). I ordered - Surf and turf : steak was cold and the lobster was of the frozen " chunk meat " variety, disappointing. Rice pilaf was BLAND. Vegetables were horribly soggy. Salads are ok.
