We were there for Easter Sunday brunch because we stayed at the Hamilton Crowne Plaza and knew we'd be tired from walking all over the city for several days prior. First, no complaints on the food; it was tasty and abundant, if pricey, but that's to be expected. Our server was attentive and friendly.
I made a reservation for brunch for the one time offered on Open Table: 10:45. Saturday evening a man called to confirm and said Brunch started at 11, but we'd be seated at 10:45 and we could go through the line at 11. Fine. Sunday morning at 7:41 a.m.(!!) a woman called (we were sound asleep after an exhausting Saturday with much walking) to confirm we wanted brunch, not breakfast. Brunch. OK. We arrived at 10:50 and were told they were not ready, come back at 11. Came back a few minutes after 11, still not ready. Finally seated a few minutes later. Buffet looked great, but there were NO plates. Plates finally appeared. Food, as noted, was very good. Nice selection. Dessert was on the opposite end of the large room from the buffet. Again, NO plates, and no plates appeared while we were there. Plates were on the other end in buffet area. So: Food and table service good, planning and general service/preparedness disappointing, to say the least. And that early-morning phone call did not win them any points.
We were there for Easter Brunch so it is hard to give it an everyday review. Everything we had was wonderful.
Comfortable upscale ambience. Friendly and accommodating staff. Food was good. But the bar upcharges were a bit ridiculous. $4 upcharge for Happy Hour Mixers and $2 upcharge for "rocks." I could maybe understand if it was special ice that should have been used to make a classic cocktail, but it was regular ice.
I like everything about the restaurant except - sometimes the noise is too much. Not this past time. This time I have one suggestion. I sat on the white leather bench by the window. The cushion was so squashed down on one side that I kept sliding to the left.
Group of six of us went to try their new Brunch menu last Sunday and we were pleased once the meal was concluded but there were issues. First we called the resteraunt the night before with questions and couldn't understand anything the guy on the phone was saying (very bad English). We show up to the restaurant and were seated outside which had a nice vibe. Our server however ruined that vibe immediately. Her English was pretty bad as well and we had problems communicating with her and she seemed really flustered. We sat down at 1215 and it was 1pm before we even got our first round of drinks. She was so slow that 3 groups of people walked out. Once we got her to just bring everybody the same drink and to just go down the list to bring them out every ten minutes things started to go much better. Bread had to be brought out by another waiter which was still an hour after we sat down. Then the food came, my entire group loved everything we ordered. We had the red velvet chicken and waffles, all American biscuit, blue crab bisque, fried shrimp and grits....I can't overstate how good the food was. We definitely will be back because all of the drinks for the bottomless were good and the food was excellent but there is no way we have the same lady wait on us.
I host a meetup at 14K once a month and am always happy with it. Quiet with good service (thanks Tony!).
I enjoyed the food and environment. However, the employees seemed confused and unprepared. The manager could not find my reservation but I clearly had a transaction receipt! There was multiple times that I was literally searching for my waiter and could not find him! I wouldn't go back for the food because the service was so bad.
Everything was good, only problem was there were fruit flies/nats around which I had to eradicate a few. But good food though. *shrugs*
The food was decent, was white table cloth setting. A little too quiet for my liking!
Excellent meal - very quiet and able to have a conversation.
Great atmosphere and friendly service. Very good value for money
A very nice Thanksgiving brunch buffet. Excellent service...they really take care of you. Brought my young kids and our server was great with them.
The salads are always good and the crab cake sandwich!
The meal and ambience were great for a quick early business meeting!
Lunchtime favorite. No choices are wrong. Solid fare, decent service.
Last minute decision to take a colleague to lunch. Although we had to take a high top table, I don't have any complaints since it was quite crowded and we had limited time.
The service was excellent from the greeting by the hostess, service by the wait staff to the brief greeting by the manager. We all had Great tasting meals. A great way to spend an evening!
We were happy to discover this restaurant which offered good food, good value and good service. It was very comfortable.
Poor service. I waited 10 minutes for just water another ten for glass of wine and I was half done with dinner. The crab dip was burnt. And had to get up and find the waiter to get the check. Overall I did not like my experience!
We both ordered the NY strip sandwich for lunch. It was $23.00 and full of gristle. The flavor was great, but we really couldn't eat the sandwiches because the cuts of meat were not good.
