We were able to order a wonderful assortment of tasty options. Great menu. The chef it truly talented.
Perfect place to go for get together. Nice food friendly service pleasant atmosphere. We frequent this place because of its laid back character, shareable bytes and drinks
Our server was nice and suggested good selections that fit what we asked for. I rated the food as 3 stars only because I didn't have any food and it needed a rating to proceed.
We sat for about 8 min before anyone acknowledged us. Manager tried to make up for it after we pointed out the fact by chatting us up and offering sample of wine and beer. Food was tasty so we'll be back but experience was uneven.
First time at 13.5%. great food and presentation. awesome wine list. most of all it is extremely reasonable. this will be a regular spot when heading to the city. can't say enough about how much we enjoyed this great wine bar.
The servers were extremely courteous and willing to accommodate whatever we needed. Only downside is that they seemed a little under-staffed because they did not stop by during the meal. Had to grab someone to get our check. Otherwise it was an excellent experience. Food was fantastic.
We needed to find a place for our family to eat and relax at the last minute after a long day out. I was pleasantly surprised with this place. Even though it was setup more like a bar scene type of place we were all able to get a table and order tapas style food, rather good food. We did have fun and ate well. I would come back with friends to hang out at the bar again.
We enjoyed this establishment. Good beer list. Excellent food. Not your usual fare.
We had 6 people and shared a lot of the orders. I had the brussels sprouts and chicken wings. Both were great! The mussels were also very good. Frites were great. A little loud for us, but we new that going in.
This is one of my favorite spots in Hampden. They've revamped their menu recently and everything is very good. Obviously lots of wine, but they also have fabulous cocktails. We went on NYE and were pleased with the food and service.
I went for a girls' night out and it was OK. We did need to send back the lamb meatballs as they were tough and not very tasty.
Service was prompt friendly and attentive. Food was excellent as well. We will certainly return!
It was to be my birthday at midnight and they closed at midnight that night. I informed someone at the establishment after making my reservation on open table. The gentleman on the phone assured me that he would speak to the manager as soon as he hung up the phone and they would accommodate me and my party and that toasting at midnight would not be a problem. Not only did we toast at midnight, we left 13.5% at 1:30AM. It was a memorable night. They played a birthday song for me and my Nina Simone song request to end the night. Awesome night. Best birthday celebration at a restaurant thus far.
Absolutely loved the food- the new chef is on point with his dishes. Our server forgot an entree and our coffee at the end. We didn't see much of her the entire night. If we were on a timeline this probably would have been more of an issue- wasn't a big deal at the time. The manager was very apologetic and friendly which was great. Would definitely come back. Very busy for a Wednesday evening!
We had a lovely meal of multiple small plates, with not a miss in the entire order. The spring rolls with shrimp and pork belly were the best spring rolls I have ever had. The duck burger was another standout. Service was very attentive. Very interesting cider. Very good wine selections. We will be back.
We came here for my fiancé's birthday dinner. The waiter was attentive and SUPER helpful in picking a wine to go with our food.
Definitely coming back!
From the atmosphere to the people to the amazing lot flavorful food. This place is perfect! The customer service was excellent. I was there with family after a graduation and even with a bigger party of people, they were attentive. We tried a lot of the menu and everything we had was delicious. Definitely must try this restaurant!!
Went with a girlfriend and we were both wowed. It's a lovely spot with lighting pretty, low yet sufficient. Waiter staff were informative and gracious. We both sampled wine flights that were well-balanced and interesting, and a great way to try some new variants of familiar wines. The duck burger and roasted cauliflower were each superb -- just unexpectedly good for 'bar food'.
Who needs to go to Fells Point for Halloween when you can go to Hampden and have a great meal in costume, some terrific wine, and listen to live music (which was a surprise to us)? Our only disappointment was that my husband lost the costume contest.
We had to send back one dish because it was not eatable. They gave us another one which was better but still too salty. All dishes except pizza pie (it was 4 of us and we order 8 dishes) were too salty in various degrees.
Our server was very nice and apologetic.
We will probably go back if they can fix salt problem.
Overall high quality food. Too much play on traditional flavors. Makes the food complicated and not very enjoyable
Great restaurant. Incredible food. Attentive staff. Can't wait to come back!!
Go for a glass of wine. The clientele was predominantly young urbanites and they cleared out early. The food was small plates and very heavily salted..... Tiny tables to maximize space.
We really enjoyed the food, especially the desserts! Two small issues--the items supposed to be served hot really were just warm, at best, and the service was not as attentive as it could have been. But we'll be back!
Kori provided excellent service! So friendly.
We were there to celebrate a birthday and from the minute we were greeted, we knew we had made the right decision. The menu was thoroughly explained; when we asked about the wine choices, our server was knowledgeable about the ones that interested us. Each food selection was brought in a timely fashion and the sauces, etc. were described so that we were aware of the tastes before we started. The birthday celebrant was treated with a special glass of wine with a single lit birthday candle attached. We were delighted! Our server was excellent attending to our needs and giving us time to make our menu selections and to enjoy each other's company. Each of ordered the lobster roll and a trio of different plates which we shared. All were well prepared and spices and flavors were perfect for our palates. All of us agreed to return. Excellent food and wine!!!!!
Food was delicious, service was great. Would definitely recommend!
The food was wonderful. Amazing flavor in the food.
unusually inventive, delicious first courses and main course.
Shabby chic boho vibe. Food was fantastic and if the house wine is any indication very good wine list. Noise level was a bit high but that was due primarily to a large group in the bar area and a bit out of the ordinary. Service was very good especially since we were wandering around looking at the photo exhibit they were showcasing. The server did a great job if watching out for us. Would go again
A party of 4 of us recently dined here for dinner. We were big fans of Chef Keefer while he was working the kitchen at Fork & Wrench, so we had to see what he has been up to recently. Overall the food is still above average, ranging from just OK (bacon sandwich) to phenomenal (snail pizza). I thought the octopus could have used slightly more crisp/char, but it was seasoned well. The 3 or 4 cocktails I tried were all outstanding as well. However service was just OK, we had to ask a few times for a knife to portion up some of the plates. And I'm still not sold on the idea of small plates, but that is more of a personal problem :-)
Overall I would recommend this place with caveats. This place is great to sit outside and have some wine or a cocktail with some amazing food. However I think there are better options for a full service dinner.
Otherwise the experience and atmosphere was great and the wine was exceptional. Will likely go back and try different plates.
