Great dinner with excellent food and outstanding service
Great food. little bit loud but fun place to dine in Kaimuki
Great date night experience. A lot of fun small plates such as Niihau lamb corn dogs. We ended up sharing our entree the rib eye steak, delicious flavorful and cooked to perfection. They have a well stocked bar, cocktails and a nice collection of whiskeys.
Food was good, service was quick. Parking was hard to find, it was a crowded night in Kaimuki
I've never had such an awesome half-chicken in my life! The jidori chicken was the bomb. I will be back for the second half of the chicken very soon. Our server, Cory, was excellent too.
Very friendly from the time you walk in till the time we walk out. Our server was very attentive and fun.
One of our favorites when in Honolulu. The atmosphere is casual with nice wood accents and a comfortable bar. Locals come from work dressed business casual. The food is all delicious with lots of local and farm to table dishes. They have small things lates and regular size entrees. We chose the posh special with carrot and beet purée, the lamb shank shawarma and Maui onions with local tomatoes. Everything was tasty and filling. Service is very professional with knowledgeable suggestions and descriptions of the food. Excellent cocktails and a good wine and beer list.
This was a recommendation from our hotel. Such a great place. Food was spot on and drinks were creative. Desserts hit the top of my list.
Very pleasant decor and friendly staff. Gosh was our server and was wonderful and helpful. Food and service was exceptional
We brought my brother who was in town for the week to one of our favorite neighborhood spots. He gushed over the ribeye and thanked us for introducing him to 12th Avenue Grill. The food and service were as superb as ever!
Sorry to say, as I Am the most forgiving diner on the planet, but the pork chops were undercooked -- and perhaps because this fact might have been known, the server did not ask how our meals were. Also, lamp shank was very salty. Overall disappointing. But good cocktails.
Started at the Craft Bar and filled up with great pupus and drinks! Then went to our dinner reservation and still shared a few entrees and desserts! A fabulous evening!
My friend and I, Honolulu residents, had dinner at 12th Avenue tonight, and the food as always was great (seared opah, leg of lamb). It was a Sunday night, which we like because it is usually little quieter. Our waiter was extremely pleasant. The only negative was dealing with the hostess, who sat the two of us in the side room off of the main dining room at a tiny table in the corner next to two parties of 8-10 people. I would have understood this if we were walk-ins, but we had made a reservation 2-3 weeks prior and eat there, if not often, then regularly. When I asked politely if there was somewhere quieter (my friend and I noticed several empty tables in the main dining room), she instantly said no without making any attempt to accommodate us. I didn’t want to argue so we sat down, but when I asked our waiter a few minutes later, he reseated us immediately in a quieter section of the dining room with 3 empty tables adjacent to us. Since the hostess is the first person guests interact with, it might be good to hire someone with at least the slightest interest in customer service, otherwise guests might - as I considered doing - just turn around and walk out in the face of such blatant indifference.
We love the 12 Ave Grill as it offers Chef created options. They try to use a mix of local and commercially marketed produce and meats. The food is clean, well prepared, and the service is done by a staff that under stands service.
Service was on point & food was extremely delicious!
Love 12th Ave Grill!! We had wonderful service and a delightful meal.
Highly recommended for carnivores.
One of our favorite restaurants on Oahu, 12th Ave always delivers great food and service. Go!
Menu is very eclectic, which we like. However, to me, the meat was way over-seasoned to the point that you couldn't enjoy the taste of the meat. I got the ribeye and couldn't really appreciate the meat itself because of the glaze/sauce which overpowered any taste coming from the beef. Also, my husband ordered what we thought was a Porterhouse, and it came out as pork. Apparently it is a "Porkerhouse"??? The waiter should have clarified this when we ordered it, as it was also not clear on the menu that this was pork and not beef.
great service, great food, very fun place to go with family and friends
It was a very busy Sunday night but our server and other staff took very good care of our party. Food was delicious and portions very generous. Complimentary guava bread pudding for a belated birthday celebration was a nice touch (candle and all!)
Tony was excellent. Great explaining and experience. Well recommend. Great food. And my date made it all the more special.
Family style Sunday fried chicken was very fun!
Excellent food and service.
Parking was such a nightmare we were not happy when we finally got in. Food was good, service was fine, noise level was high and wine by the glass was very expensive.
When my wife and I moved to Hawaii six years ago there was only one restaurant that we could consider on the level of the great Williamsburg/ Greenpoint Brooklyn restaurants and that was Restaurant Town. It still is in our top five. 12st is truly the only true restaurant on Oahu that fits the above category. Relocate it to NYC and you would find it very difficult getting a reservation. Last night we could have gone for any of their always daily specials but we opted for our go to Shwarma Spiced Ni`ihau Lamb Shank Roasted pepper couscous, preserved lemon, pickled shallot & fresh herbs with house made yogurt. Just had to have it. We then also shared an Ahi Poke with more of a Tahitian twist. No matter what you chose you honestly will have a ver exciting dinner. Being former Wine Educators we marvel in their extensive temperature controlled wine menu. Rick Lily, the restaurants wine specialist is one of the two best in all of Hawaii. Forget about all the hoopla about wine soms etc. , Rick and Chuck Bussler from Restaurant Fete know Wine and are passionate about Wine as we are. There is no pompousness when it comes to Wine. They KNOW their wine.
Yummy food (ribeye was delicious!) and nice, friendly servers. Like that they source locally when possible.
Took out friends from San Francisco on their last diner in Hawaii. They loved the food (and the fact that almost all of it was local) and the service.
Best place they’ve been to while on vacation on Oahu. Highly recommend their pork chop (Maui) and Hokkaido Scallops (Japan).
Amazing food! A little cold inside!
I have never been disappointed at 12th Avenue. The wait staff is friendly and professional. I never have to ask for anything. They do not hover. The experience is one of the best in Honolulu.
We had a spur-of-the-moment dinner with two good friends. We were able to find a table at a reasonable time (surprise) and had a delicious and delightful time. The waiter was knowledgeable and attentive (despite being extremely busy). The entrees and main courses (Opah, scallops, pork) were extremely tasty and well-presented. The wind was excellent. And no one hassled us about staying a long time.
12th Street Grill was recommended by my stepmom and it didn’t disappoint. We reserved a table online and it was just a few minutes before we were seated, when we arrived. Wait staff was attentive and manager stopped by for friendly conversation. Menu was creative and delicious. Great drink list to support the food. Would definitely return!!
After wonderful dinner with outstanding service a week prior, my out of town visitors asked to return to 12th Ave. Grill for another dinner. Sadly, our experience on Friday, 3/23, was disappointing, primarily due to the service. Our waiter was, at best, disinterested, and seemed to be mostly concerned with getting us out the door as quickly as possible. We felt rushed throughout the meal. The meal was fine, although I had to send my steak back as it was undercooked. This is the first time I have felt disappointed at 12th Ave Grill, having dined there a number of times in the past year, so I will chalk it up to a waiter who was having a bad day.
!2th Ave Grill is one of my favorite restaurants.
The food is delicious and the wait staff is so friendly.
I love the Lemon Ginger Mint cocktail.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
3年前にも来店したが、今回もとても美味しかった。特に、Macaroni and Cheeseは絶品。
Our meals were wonderful and cocktails were amazing! Love this restaurant and always leave wondering why I don't go more often.
Our friends from Japan, who go to any great restaurants in Japan and in Hawaii were very impressed with your tasty and fashionable menus. We really enjoyed the great food and great local flavored food in your menu.
However after the meal, we ordered coffee and coffee was not very fresh. not even warm enough. That spoiled the entire meal to me. May be milk was too cold. When I serve tea, I will keep the milk in room temperature so, tea does not get too cold. to do so, warm up the milk jug and poor the cold milk in it, that is the secret.
