For Mother’s Day seating at lunch, there was no server. You had to take your own drink/cocktail order, as well as entree and dessert to give to the counter worker. I provided a credit card to keep open and they said we hav to order the entire meal at 1 time. Also, after we arrived, were were told they close in 30 minutes, which no one can enjoy Mother’s Day in 30 minutes.
The lunch was made on a make-shift assembly in the side dining room, which was odd.
When ready to pay, you have to go back to the counter to close yourself out. The lady could not find my order and then got the to-go dessert mixed up after I told her 3 times.
Upon leaving, the host told me I could pay with credit card at the booth on far north corner of parking lot near Earl’s and Thai place. This was bizarre cause there was a working credit card booth just steps away near Curves Fitness.
Will not be going back!
I was disappointed at the need to walk up to the counter to order our food on Mother's Day. I did appreciate the outdoor seating option, and the food came relatively quickly. I also appreciate the deli options, but would have liked to see more unique dishes. Nice, casual dining environment, though I was expecting something a little more upscale. I would've also liked to see more keto/paleo options, as my family is diabetic and it was challenging to take my mom out for a nice meal with such limited options.
We wanted to dine inside. However, I don't believe there was an option given on Open Table. We had to request it when we arrived and luckily there was a table open inside. Even with the change there was minimal wait time.
Excellent food and service at casual, neighborhood place away from all the commotion. The dishes were inspired but not pretentious. Very casual, very pleasant dinner.
Still reliable, wonderful barkeeper.
Great food at a great price! Will come back with my friends!
We liked it so much we went to the 12th Ave. Grill twice in four days. I have never had a bad meal here. We eat outside in the parking lot tent, which was surprisingly comfortable. The safety protocols were more than adequate. 2nd only to the food was the wonderful wait staff! Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable about the food, and friendly!
We both had sandwiches and my lamb burger was decent although for the price a small salad could have been included. Fries were offered but at additional cost - might as well get a hot entree for almost the same price and comes with a side and salad. My friend’s fish sandwich wasn’t too tasty and she had to ask for
You order at the counter and the food is brought to your table. The girls are pleasant, but they don’t come around that often as they tend to the counter too.
I heard the customer behind us complain that his chicken sandwich was skimpy and I think it was comped.
We don’t plan to return.
We had the steak tacos for lunch. The flavors were great however the steak was tough. It seemed like the kind of cut that should have been sliced on a bias to make it more tender. The service was spotty, and not super attentive.
We are longtime patrons and keep coming back. The food and service is always excellent
Great food! The expansion of the restaurant into the parking lot has given it big outdoor and indoor dining areas.
Excellent food! Starters were generously sized for sharing. Preparation was superb.
Excellent food and service. Drinks good. Love outdoor dining option!
Amazing food. Thank you
Food was good. Server was good. The only thing is everytime one of the servers walked by he would stare at my wife. Then when she went to the bathroom he seen her coming and took a step back to look. Kinda creepy. Wanted a new place to relax and enjoy dinner not a guy undressing my wife while she walks to the bathroom.
Tako was amazing! I am blessed to I have this as a neighborhood place.
Went on a much needed
This is one of my favorite restaurants! Everything is extremely well done and I am looking forward to them returning to their full capacity
My go to place for a quick lunch. Reasonable prices, varied selection. I like ordering at the counter for quick service. The deli counter is nice snd I like the special canned tuna. Always pick up a can for home. Great for tuna salad
Brand new waiter did well. COVID menu a little sparse. Fried tako excellent. You’ve to eat it hot. Lobster mac and cheese and burger were tasty. Crispy fries the best! Nice choices
of draft beer and wines by the glass. Great social distancing arrangement inside. Will have to try happy hour in the bar next time.
This was our second time given the great experience we had on our first trip here but ended being a huge disappointment. The food was served luke warm and the soup was cold and the server was too busy entertaining the guests at the bar to pay attention to us. We were seated next to the bar where it was loud and busy. This trip no good at all.
Our classmates had a luncheon at the 12th Ave. Grill. We all enjoyed the food there. It was my 1st visit to 12th Ave. Grill. I heard many favorable comments about the restaurant. I'm glad I had a chance to dine there.
We went twice during our stay in Oahu. Great friendly service with an outstanding menu skillfully executed. We’ll be back on our next trip to Oahu!
I haven't been here in a year. Always loved the pork chop but this time it wasn't as tasty, and the potato pancake not as good, too small. Maybe a new chef?
The crew at 12th St were professional, attentive and knowledgeable. The food out of this world! I had the crusted swordfish, melted in your mouth. Our friend had the fried chicken, mom could not make it better. Dessert was semifreddo, a frozen peanut butter mousse. We liked it so much my husband wanted to go back the next evening.
Food was very tasty. Mixed Drinks were perfect. Overall great experience! Our server Steve was very attentive and made great suggestions.
Really safe Covid-19 dining experience. Great service. It's my first dine in experience in over 13 months & it was very satisfying.
The thick pork chop was cooked perfectly, flavorful and was plenty of food to satisfy. Both the ahi and beet carpaccio, I didn't care for. The house made burrata + roasted Hau’ula tomatoes lacked flavor. The drink service was slow.
Always great ! Long time supporters , ahi dip is always great.
Well this place was so good I had to go back within a week. I am ruined for fried chicken now it was the best I have ever had. The second trip I had the pork chop and it was equally amazing. The Ahi dip is like crack!
My food was excellent but my wife was disappointed. She wanted the risotto which was a menu regular not a special. Unfortunately, they were out of the risotto. Her second choice was not up to expectations.
We had a wonderful dinner at 12th Ave Grill. It was our first visit and we intend to come back again.
Great food, super fresh (apparently all locally sourced) and a very good price. I'd highly recommend visiting here.
Went with my daughter and her boyfriend who come here often. I was pleasantly surprised at both the food and the service. It was super crowded for dinner and I could see why, We shared the charcuterie board and I ordered the diver scallops. Was cooked perfectly and it was flavorful and tasty. The server was friendly, welcoming and very attentive - which also caught me by surprise because it was so busy, I really thought the service was going to be sub- par. Glad I was wrong. Great place for every day dining - will definitely keep coming back.
Wonderful flavors!!!!! We got several different meals to bring home and also taste test.
Everything is made from scratch including breads buns..
Definitely has become a new favorite.
Ex Chef Andrew came out and was wonderful to share with him.
They also have food to go. That was a treat both main dishes and their desserts... they are the absolute best.
Check it out. Have already recommended it to friends
This is one of my favorite eateries in Honolulu so I was thrilled to introduce clients to it. They have officially, yet unexpectedly, relocated here and I knew it would soon become a special place for their discriminating tastes as well.
At our mutual preferences we reserved an outdoor table. Is that why the service was sub-par? My friends and I are typically happy at the bar where we can watch the action of Kevin’s chef’s kitchen; even when we eat at a table the service is stellar. Appetizers and dinner entrees were fantastic! Wine selections were perfect. Dessert, not so much. Will these discrepancies from the norm prevent me from returning? Heavens no. Kevin, Denise and their team were early supporters of local farmers and ranchers. I maintain my patronage while they sustain their commitment to island agro-business.
The mushrooms in the rissotto was a bit overpowering but the front of the house staff and kitchen staff took the constructive criticism well. We did also make suggestions about the bread portioning and hope it will be acted upon. The accommidations and service is second to none and we will be returning there again soon. The rest of the food is one of the best experiences and I have been a very long time customer
Happy to sit outside, although a bit loud from cars and the street. Service and food was excellent. I will definitely be going back!
