Excellent slow cooked food from a menu to please every palate. Unpretentious service and ambiance; no loud music to drown out your dinner conversation. We’re so glad we found out about this place right before our trip to Oahu! We had the scallops, lamb osso buco, steak frites, the fish special, and roast chicken. All very tasty and beautifully presented!
Went for the Sunday supper and was not disappointed. Opakapaka and chips were great and the dessert was just enough to finish what was a great meal. We also had the scallops, which were good as usual..
Haven't been eating out too much lately so this meal was wonderful.
Food was mediocre, but the service was just the worst experience I have ever encoutered! With 3 of us coming from the food service arena, service was very unprofessional, sarcastic and just a 'don't care' attitude. Of course, our waiter said he prides himself on service - - this was the most ludicrous statement he could have made because it was HE that made this an unpalatable experience. We would have had better service at Palolo McDonald's! Seriously! Don't waste your money here. You can get a much more tasty and hot meal from Big City Diner around the corner. If want a place to make an impression on your date or celebrate a special occasion, look through OpenTable for another option - NOT 12th Avenue Grill!
Our dinner was perfectly prepared. The pork chop done with a bit of char on the edges, just the way it should be. Opah done well, not dry, not undercooked. Sitting on top of somen made a well balance plate.
We enjoyed our meal very much. We didn’t feel like a tourist and it seems like an upscale place where locals go.
This was a very special evening, wonderful and creative food pairings. Could not have been better!

First let me say, that there were at least 2 dishes that i tried that I would go back for AND there were at least 3-5 more that I would go back to try.
Everything about the experience was well done.
The Pork Saltimbocca was excellent so perfectly cooked with a salty crispy skin, the Mai Tai delicious, the sweet pickled peppers complimented the richness off the main course perfectly and the Caesar salad very nice.
I'd definitely go back.
Another Sunday Supper: 12th Ave Grill’s Famous Buttermilk Fried Chicken ,Manoa honey buttered biscuits, caramelized shallot mashed potatoes, roasted local roots, smoked sausage gravy. Dessert is Peaches & Cream Upside Down Cake. Add one of the best French Rhône wines from 12th’s awesome wine list( and don’t forget a waitstaff that takes the Aloha Spirit to heart) and you have the makings for a totally memorable dinner and it was.
Ambience is good, service was good, Food was too salty. Two dishes - scallops and lamb Osso Buco. Even though the scallops were of good quality, due to the saltiness, you could not experience the sweetness of the scallops.
As always the food and service were excellent! We love going here for a date night.

They celebrated our anniversary so wonderfully! Our steak was divine! My favorite place!
Food and service was very good. My only complaint is that the restaurant gets very noisy when busy. We were seated near the bar but as soon as people started sitting there it is almost impossible to have a conversation. This seems to be a major problem in a lot of the newer restaurants.
The appetizers were lovely. Ordered the steak and pork chops medium rare. It was more in the medium side. Therefore, pork chops was on the tougher side. The timing of the appetizer and entree left much to be desired. Have been there before and had excellent service. They may have not anticipated such a busy night. The hostess had an excellent attitude. If the other employees tending the customers had followed suit it would have been exceptional service. I do appreciate that they use many local ingredients and seem to pay attention to sustainability. Will definitely go again!
Service was outstanding!!! We were the first table to be seated and had arrived before they opened. So we can't speak to the service when they are busy. There were 14 people outside waiting for the doors to be unlocked. Once unlocked, there was a mad rush for the bar seats. Apparently there is a healthy happy hour following. Appetizers were tasty and well priced. The menu had a balanced selection of entrees and they were tasty and well priced. All in all a great experience. Looking forward to returning.
Excellent restaurant! The food is delicious and the staff are wonderful. Our waiter Cory A is exceptional! Friendly, gives wonderful suggestions and compliments, professional and very attentive.

There was no rice , they ran out of mash potatoes and one of two daily specials. There menu is just to small. Not enough entree or starter choices.
There do great desserts but someone is sleeping at the management wheel.
There were a lot of local customers and they were lined up before opening. The counter seat seemed popular. All the seasonings in the dish were devised and ate very deliciously. The floor staff were very friendly and enjoyed drink recommendations.
Cocktails, appetizers, main course, wine and dessert were all very very good. Our server Lauren was extremely attentive, as was the manager Russell. We have heard for a long time how good this place is and now we can confirm it is true. We'll be back.

For the ambience, the service, the menu selection, and quality, 12th Ave. Grill is the best deal going in town. My whole family just loves this dining spot
I come back to this place every year or so. The menu items are always hit and miss. I preferred the environment at the original site. There was nothing particularly bad about it. It just doesn't quite make it for me. Sorry?

took excellent care of us all night. The food was top-notch. I had the Ahi Bruschetta and the pork chop and the sides with that were very good. I look forward to out next visit!

Gotta say ... Tony is my favorite waiter of all time. He has been my favorite since the days when he worked at 3660 on the Rise. He did an excellent job of helping us celebrate our August birthdays.

Food was excellent, friendly staff, and an overall fantastic evening. Large party in the banquet room caused exceptionally slow service. Can’t really blame the kitchen they were just overwhelmed.
First time here and it was great. They were super busy so service took a little longer than usual but I was okay with it because the delectable drinks and food made up for it. We are from Maui and I have been convincing my hubby to come here on our last two visits, I was so pleased when he finally said yes, no regrets at all. Our tasty libations of the night consisted of an old fashion for hubby and of course I am a martini gal so the lime ginger mint martini was to die for! We enjoyed the brussell sprouts salad and the tako for our small plates. I had the scallops and he had the ribeye steak, both cooked to perfection. Lastly, the affogado for dessert, with peanut butter gelato hit the spot! We will definitely be back
Our dinner was superb from start to finish. Our server was very knowledgable about the dishes and the wine list and provided the perfect mix of being attentive and personable while allowing us to enjoy our meal and each other's company. The food, wine (I was thrilled to find a gamay on the wine list) and after dinner drinks were fine tuned.
Ashley was our server and she was fun, knowledgeable about the menu and recommendations. We have eaten here several times and the food is always great. Portions are very generous and good variety on the menu. I had the special for the night, hanger steak and it was so amazing and tender. Others had the lamb osso buco, scallops and ribeye steak. All amazing and delicious. I question why we don’t cone here more often! We will. Mahalo to the kitchen for an excellent meal!
My chicken was burnt around the edges. I didn't mention it to our waiter because I didn't want to wait for another dish to be prepared. I removed the burnt pieces and ate the rest of my dish. We all had a great time and would return again. Great staff
Great food & service! Ashley the server is an asset to the restaurant. Her description of menu items & knowledge obviously a plus. Recommendations made by her well received & we were very pleased with the items .
