12th Ave. Grill
Yummy food that was not over seasoned and good service
I booked at OPEN TABLE- my request was honored.
Service: Our waiter and other waiters- friendly! Food delivered in appropriate amount of time- not slow or too fast.
We left HAPPY
Must try the Brussel sprouts. ..Amazing!! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant to try new dishes.
I would like to see more vegetarian/vegan dishes available. Perhaps a pasta dish as well.
Food was excellent. Grilled pork chops and jidori chicken were highlights. Good selection of drinks, including a decent assortment of local craft beer. Great place.
The 12th Avenue Grill has been one of our favorites for special occasions for several years. Always fresh and delicious. Great service and a great wine list. Can't miss with their specials. Ono!
Food was good as always, Tony our waiter was great, knowledgeable, professional but also fun. We really enjoyed our dinner.
The entire experience was fabulous- GREAT food and friendly, professional service.
The first time I ate at 12th Ave Grill, it was one of the finest steak dining experiences I’ve had. This time, although the greeting at the front and service by waiter Aaron were exceptional, Kim’s steak was overly salty and my short ribs were rather dry, floating in a corn/eggplant sauce that did not harmonize with the dish. The meat, rather than falling off the bone was tough and tightly adherent to the bone. I should receive some of the blame for not sending the dish back or at least mentioning it. It was badly prepared. I like this place and will give it another try next time on Oahu from Kaua’i. Maybe chalk it up to Monday evening dining out, the chef fatigued from a busy weekend.
Fantastic restaurant. Feels more like family than a place to eat. Always a great meal and experience.
Absolutely fabulous! You can't lose here, guaranteed!
i would recommend 12th ave grill ONLY for their bar, and happy hour...the entree's were sloppy, and not worth the price...not sure if it was a bad night for the crew, while the food was okay, every dish was just salty, and presentation was not like it used to be. on the other hand, the cocktails, and small plates were yummy, and worth it.
The brussel sprouts were delicious! Unfortunately, that was the only thing we ordered that I truly enjoyed aside from the service. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. If I come back, I'd order something other than the pork chop.
Date night for my husband and I. Food, service , wine and cocktails were awesome. It was a little noisy and hard to hear each other. We were seated just outside the room used for large parties.
Our waiter was the best part of the meal. He was that good because the food was fabulous!
I like this place, but the Osso Bucco Recipe is too heavy sauce.
We never thought we would say this but our absolute favorite Sunday Family Dinner which was Fried Chicken with its awesome compliments was actually beaten.
Last night we had their Shawarma grilled grass fed lamb souvlaki Rosemary flat bread, Hauula tomatoes, Kula onions, roasted olives, fried eggplant, roasted garlic hummus, tzatziki. Dessert is Baklava. Better then anything we’ve ever had in the Latin Quarter in Paris.
Very nice experience dining - service and food were great! Would have liked to see a meatless entree option. Calamari was the best! Scallops, chicken, seafood, and beef selections at our table were all very tasty.
We were so pleasantly surprised to find this place. We had gone years ago when they were in a small place and just assumed they had moved to an even smaller space. We were sure wrong. After navigating the parking lot, and entering a very large commercial building, we entered a warm, welcoming restaurant. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The noise level was fine. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the food and ambiance. Thank you to 12th Ave. Grill for a lovely evening.
Always delicious food here. Entrees are generous so becareful filling up with appetizers. You want dessert!
Everything we had was wonderful. Our friend is very particular, and she loved the osso buco; said it was one of the best she's had.
Truly great service and food. Wonderful cocktails. Small and large plates are both great for sharing.
Menu is always changing to make use of local products. Excellent dishes that are inventive but not
so unusual that they misfire.
The service was outstanding and the flavors of our dishes was unique and delightful! We are looking froward to dining there again!!
First what turned me off was that we had a reservation for 17:30 and an employee from the restaurant calls me to tell me that they are super busy tonight so we need to be done by 19:30 to have the table for another customer. I didn’t realize there was a time limit otherwise we would of reserved somewhere else. Second the server was weird and my husband had a gnat in his wine glass so my husband told him and the server said “what do you want me to get a spoon and scoop it out??” My husband said no I want a new glass so the server “says ok I will fill it up to where you drank.” I ordered the pipikaula well done and it was rare and my husband’s pork chop was pink inside! Food took long and the quality was not worth what they charged. We could of had a better meal at Highway Inn or even Zippy’s. The manager came over and apologized for the food being late, gave an appetizer of two pieces of bruschetta or something like it, I didn’t eat it, anyways he asked is there anything else and then turns away and talks to another customer that he apparently knew and we were dumbfounded. This was such a disappointing birthday dinner and I will never come here again!
The food was delicious as expected. I had the special of the day, Filet Mignon, and it was cooked
perfectly as I ordered. The waiter was very helpful in explaining the menu and did his best to keep us not waiting for the next course. The only thing that put us off about this restaurant is that we were told we had 1 1/2 hours to complete our meal and this was when they were trying to reconfirm our reservation which was about two hours before our reservation. If they had told us this when I had made the reservation, I would not have booked it.
All i can say is great! Flavor town!!! We will be back very soon.
Decent food but not as good as when they first opened at their original location. Flavors were just OK and is overpriced for what it is.
Great mother daughter dinner.
Very professional waithelp and great food. We all enjoyed our dinners.
12th Ave Grille met its high standards and our expectations. The monjong entree and the squash soup were both outstanding . Our first course choices -- the smoked ahi bruschetta and farmers market salad -- were fresh, flavorful and expertly seasoned. We were delighted with the whole experience.
The food, the service were great. Supports local agriculture! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely go back. Very good value as well. Highly recommend.
Staff was very accommodating, allowing us to move to a new table with lower noise level to help with my father’s difficult hearing. Much appreciated. Food was well prepared and waitstaff was friendly and knowledgeable.
Fried chix was good but a little salty. Is so buco was over cooked burnt and tough. Dessert wine and tomato salad were very good. Kevin was great.
The short "Manager" with glasses greeted us when we arrived. Unfortunately we arrived early and were subjected to a lecture on how they could not seat us, although the restaurant was half full and never filled. This guy was bleeding arrogance and self importance. My fish was overcooked, no care was taken in the cooking, getting our wine poured was a never, we did it ourselves.
I have been here before, and the only people in the restaurant that do not have their heads up there are the bartenders. The ONLY place to eat is at the bar, at least you do not feel like they are doing you a favour.
Arrogant restaurants will eventually fail, they always do, look at Town, no one needs an over-priced arrogant dining experience.
Had a fantastic post wedding reception dinner for out of town guests, including a family from Italy. To my was outstanding in his service as always. Everyone raved at the meal, surroundings and service.
12th Avenue Grill is one of our favorite restaurants. We love the food which is very tasty and you can get small plates which are delicious. The brussels sprout salad and macaroni and cheese are the best. They also have inventive and interesting entrees as well as really delicious desserts. The service is superb. We have had Tony for years and no one can tell you about specials better than he can. He makes you want to order everything because it all sounds so good. We had Ree for the first time the other night and she was also outstanding.
Personal service as if we were locals. The food was the type of experience which is tasteful and enticing at the same time. Go and have fun!!! We did.
