12th Ave. Grill
We tried our first Sunday Supper. We love the concept and enjoyed the family-style dining. Flavors were fantastic as ever, though the cut of lamb was pretty gristly, I guess that is why it is such a deal at $35 per person. We look forward to signing up for Sunday Supper again!
Another amazing Sunday Family Dinner. What a great concept and awesome food. We had their Jambalaya Risotto: Baja white shrimp, blackened Jidori chicken, house made sausage, fried okra, maque choux, Creole Hau'‘ula tomato broth. Dessert is flash fried beignets, cafe du monde chocolate dipping sauce. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and definitely not overdone. Their amazing wine list and awesome staff helped marry this dinner as well as all their other choices. It’s a pleasure to feel so relaxed but in the hands of some of the best in the culinary arts.
Dinner with family friends from the Mainland.
I brought an out of town visitor here for dinner. He is from SF so he definitely knows the food scene. He was impressed with the offerings and how well everything tasted. I've never had a bad meal at 12th Avenue Grilland can count on it to deliver. By the way, our waitperson, Cory, was great.
Had a birthday dinner with friends and service was good and food good. Will continue to come for special occasions. Only issue Saturday around 7:00pm parking hard to find
Amazing food and service! Cory is the best server ever!
The food is always good. I wish they have more daily specials.
AJ was the best waiter! The food was outstanding. It's a great place to celebrate special occasions. The 12th Ave Grill has become our go to place for birthdays, anniversaries and other special days. Mahalo plenty!
Best meal we had on Oahu!! Wonderful food and service!
Loved it! The service was fantastic and food was superb. We had a wonderful dinner experience!
Superb food and staff. Particularly impressed w/ the bartenders, as they have a broad knowledge for cocktails and wine pairings.
Food here is consistently good. Drinks are too! Menu changes enough to keep it interesting.
Great place. Service was very hood. Our waitress was very helpful and explained the menu to us. Food was very good as well.
The waiter seemed a bit rushed and brusk; said it was getting busy and wanted to get our order in... Not much time for us, it seemed.
Delicious grilled meats: ahu, lamb burger ( although it was seriously underdone the first time we had to send it back. But it was fine the second time). Dessert (bsnsna split with fried bananas) was luscious.
The food was Devine. I want to go back already. From the fried avocado, to the fully dressed rib eye and guava bread pudding. Even the whiskey and cocktails were superb!
Dinner with the Family. Food and cocktails were great! We hadn’t been here in a while and we’ll have to make it a point to come more often.
Absolutely love the batter fried avocado appetizer. It is consistently delicious.
Our food was delicious! Nick our waiter was great very professional and was on top of things, I would definitely recommend Twelveth Avenue grill
A great place for the lover of red meat. Of course there are other choices, but they specialize in steaks and chops and the quality is very high. The dining rooms and bar are modern, high-ceilinged, and very comfortable. Noise levels were lower than I expected from the design of the room, and the room was effectively full. There is another dining room that wasn't being used that night.
Service was professional and properly attentive without being annoying or pushy. We had the skirt steak, unusually tender for the cut, and the pork chop. The cuts of meat were ample without being the oversized slabs served some places. We both found them appropriate and filling, but some might find them small. There were some larger steaks available as well. Both our choices were served in a puddle of acdark demi-glace that complimented the meat beautifully. The accompaniments were also well chosen and tasty, if not highly original. Prices were high, but not as high as you'd pay in a high-end Waikiki steakhouse, so the value was decent. Everything is expensive in Hawaii, so value is relative.
Overall, it was a very good experience. I am very close to giving them five stars, but reserve that rating for restaurants that are a bit more special than this one.
The food was fantastic, and the service was excellent. We were already talking about how soon we can go back!
Yummy food that was not over seasoned and good service
I booked at OPEN TABLE- my request was honored.
Service: Our waiter and other waiters- friendly! Food delivered in appropriate amount of time- not slow or too fast.
We left HAPPY
Must try the Brussel sprouts. ..Amazing!! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant to try new dishes.
Its a nice place to have a meal with someone or a group. They offer a good variety of dishes and drinks, and they try to use locally sourced foods!
I would like to see more vegetarian/vegan dishes available. Perhaps a pasta dish as well.
Food was excellent. Grilled pork chops and jidori chicken were highlights. Good selection of drinks, including a decent assortment of local craft beer. Great place.
The 12th Avenue Grill has been one of our favorites for special occasions for several years. Always fresh and delicious. Great service and a great wine list. Can't miss with their specials. Ono!
Food was good as always, Tony our waiter was great, knowledgeable, professional but also fun. We really enjoyed our dinner.
The entire experience was fabulous- GREAT food and friendly, professional service.
The first time I ate at 12th Ave Grill, it was one of the finest steak dining experiences I’ve had. This time, although the greeting at the front and service by waiter Aaron were exceptional, Kim’s steak was overly salty and my short ribs were rather dry, floating in a corn/eggplant sauce that did not harmonize with the dish. The meat, rather than falling off the bone was tough and tightly adherent to the bone. I should receive some of the blame for not sending the dish back or at least mentioning it. It was badly prepared. I like this place and will give it another try next time on Oahu from Kaua’i. Maybe chalk it up to Monday evening dining out, the chef fatigued from a busy weekend.
Fantastic restaurant. Feels more like family than a place to eat. Always a great meal and experience.
Absolutely fabulous! You can't lose here, guaranteed!
i would recommend 12th ave grill ONLY for their bar, and happy hour...the entree's were sloppy, and not worth the price...not sure if it was a bad night for the crew, while the food was okay, every dish was just salty, and presentation was not like it used to be. on the other hand, the cocktails, and small plates were yummy, and worth it.
The brussel sprouts were delicious! Unfortunately, that was the only thing we ordered that I truly enjoyed aside from the service. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. If I come back, I'd order something other than the pork chop.
Date night for my husband and I. Food, service , wine and cocktails were awesome. It was a little noisy and hard to hear each other. We were seated just outside the room used for large parties.
Our waiter was the best part of the meal. He was that good because the food was fabulous!
I like this place, but the Osso Bucco Recipe is too heavy sauce.
We never thought we would say this but our absolute favorite Sunday Family Dinner which was Fried Chicken with its awesome compliments was actually beaten.
Last night we had their Shawarma grilled grass fed lamb souvlaki Rosemary flat bread, Hauula tomatoes, Kula onions, roasted olives, fried eggplant, roasted garlic hummus, tzatziki. Dessert is Baklava. Better then anything we’ve ever had in the Latin Quarter in Paris.
