   This cafe is a true little gem. I took my mom here for Mothers Day & we can't wait to go back! The staff was very attentive & kind. The food was phenomenal! The chef changes the menu often to keep fresh, local foods on the table. This is a wonderful place for lunch with a good friend or a good old date night. I will definitely return.

   My wife and I went to 128 Cafe for our first time on Mother's Day, 2016. We have lived within 10 miles of this location for almost 35 years but had never been to this restaurant. We had a great brunch meal for Mother's Day. The food was delicious, the service prompt and courteous, the setting was delightful. We can't wait until we can try an evening dinner at this hidden gem in St. Paul.

   The roasted garlic with toasts, chutney and apple slices--coupled with the Argyle sparking wine--was an excellent start to the meal. The nettle soup was as beautiful as it was tasty--and not something you find on very many menus (...sadly).

   Food was great, if you have play tickets, might want to allow extra time. Wonderful leisurely place to dine!

   Tucked into a little corner of a non-descript building in St. Paul, 128 Cafe was a delight. We got a reservation because they took part in a charity fund-raiser, and took a chance though we liked what we saw of the menu and online reviews. We were pleasantly surprised by the ambiance, the food and the service. We would go back again, both the salmon I had and the pork chop my wife dined on were delicious. From heritage pork to the "umami bomb vinaigrette" we had a nice treat. Even had dessert (which we don't usually do these days)...it was that good.

   Best Dessert experience EVAR!!! The Banana-Rhubard pastry with vanilla ice cream, brown sugar crumbles and cinnamon...omg! So, good.

   128 is always a nice quiet dinner with very good food. Their ribs are the best in town.

   Everything on the menu is so delicious - from the bread to the dessert, appetizers, main courses - and the intimate atmosphere reminds one of a small European or French Canadian restaurant. Really a fantastic place!

    Love, love, loved the Pork Chop Dinner...so tender and tasted so good and savory with sweet pairings! I am still craving it again! Thank you for truly taking time to make beautiful dishes! Our dessert was great too!
