12 Islands of Stirling Ratings and Reviews
What can I say? We have been going to this restaurant for years and it continues to be one of our favorite places to dine. We are always treated like family, the service is always perfect, and the food is amazing. I couldn't even recommend a specific dish because it is all good! We will continue to be regulars and recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants great food and service!!
This was our first visit and we were very pleased. Tired of the same old same, this Greek Alternative was just the what we are looking for. Food is authentic and plentiful at reasonable prices. Our server was excellent! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. Great cocktails and a decent wine list with something for every taste and budget. Will definitely be back!
Absolutely delicious. We're in the area for a wedding and picked this restaurant based on Opentable reviews and the reviews are right. The seafood was great. The grilled calamari was tender and the sauce so good we kept the platter for bread dipping. The halibut and branzino were also wonderful. We also got the custard in phyllo which was huge, maybe a little sweet with the syrup on top so ask for it without but the custard was tasty. And the servers were very friendly with lots of suggestions. All in all a top notch dining experience.
Love everything here, table of 8 had the following and highly recommend: Black Sea bass cooked as whole fish, husband thought it was superb; I had halibut special over rice, tender, moist and delicious!! Others had beef/lamb gyro, excellent as always; chicken bruschetta, lamb chops and shrimp pasta all really tasty!! NO leftovers and 8 very happy customers!! Love this place and have been many times and will continue to bring family and friends.
My family get together for dinner every Friday night to spend quality family time. We have a a short list of excellent places that we like to eat and 12 Islands has been high on our list for years!
Chef George, manager Gus and servers John, Nic and Chris work very hard to make each of our visits perfect.
Love, love love this place and I try to get there whenever I can..and I highly recommend it!
Fabulous find! We had the grape leaves, eggplant dip, grilled scallop special with fresh basil orzo and a traditional lamb casserole dish. Everything was excellent and the service was superb with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great selection of wine and very reasonably priced. Relaxed atmosphere, restaurant is very pretty inside and out. Can't wait to return!
So disappointing. I've been to 12 Islands many times and have always had a great experience. Went for Mother's Day and it was awful! Made a reservation thru Open Table, but wound up in the small room with a table next to us of at least 16 people - including many kids who screamed off on throughout the evening and the parents simply yelled down the table. The service was awful - food came quickly but was not the quality I was used to and one order was wrong. We waited so long for our waiter to come back and check on us that we ate it anyway and then had to have a manager intervene to take it off the bill. They seemed understaffed and overwhelmed. I'll return, but never again on any type of holiday.
Had 7:00 reservation through open table but upon
Arriving at 7:00 the place was packed with many parties
Waiting and crowding the entrywa and d was told
The wait would be 15-25 minutes!! Sat at the bar
Bartender was fabulous!!! Noise level was deafening
Food was pretty good
Never will come back on a Saturday
