1100 Social at XFINITY Live! Philadelphia Ratings and Reviews
Would have given a 0 if possible. Feel the same about the entire Xfinity Live complex. We are season ticket holder to the Flyers and have tried multiple restaurants in the complex prior to the game and service/food had issues at all, except we thought for 1100 Social. Had dinner there twice, a bit slow but enjoyed the food. Recently had reservation for lunch prior to game (made on OpenTable and even received reminder that morning showed up and found out they were not opening until dinner. Tried again. Showed up and seated, drink order 5 minutes later, food order 10 minutes later, water finally game 15 minutes from arriving and food 40 minutes after arrival (and this was the special - Nachos). ICE COLD. Left and will not return. The complex has had more than enough chances from us
Overall, I would not recommend this place to my friends. The fusion of Mexican and Asian sounded like a good idea, but the food was very bland and disappointing. I started with the Chipotle salad, which was was nothing exciting, then had the shredded braised chicken tacos with pickled onions, which was dry with very little flavor. My friend got the Banh Mi burger, which sounded great, but for $15, it was very small and disppointing.
Reservation was not honored. The restaurant was closed for a private party, but I had a reservation...... I made the reservation 3 hours earlier. Last time there, food was so so. First time I couldn't get a table because I didn't have a reservation but there were lots of empty tables. Guess this was third strike.
The menu looked really appealing and I knew going into an Asian/Mexican fusion place with a severe gluten intolerance my options would be limited. I also expected the wait staff to have a little better knowledge of what a gluten allergy would entail. It is my hope that there is better training that takes place in that establishment. The drink menu and wine by the glass options were great though!
The restaurant was not crowded on a Saturday night prime time. The food was average at best, the prices for drinks at 12.00 for a house margarita was way to high. The drink was in a very small glass and it tasted like inferior quality, quervo would be better. the service was good the room is nice but I felt cheated when I left. We spent 170.00 just for 4. Mostly appetizers similar to Applebee's in quality but priced much higher.
I will not recommend nor be back.
Our first time there and I must say the food was quite different and good. It is a unique blend of Asian and Mexican/latin cuisines. The 2 salsa that came with chips were unique in flavor and contrasted each other. The small plate of dumplings stuffed with pork offered an crunchy crust with a rich flavor inside when broken open. The taco entrees were unique since they included kimchi on one of them and raw red cabbage on the other. If you enjoy unique flavor combinations and are adventurous in eating then definitely worth a visit.
Service was quick, which was great since we were heading to a game. Favorite thing we got was the Banh Cam- we'd definitely get it again. Also tried the general Tso's rice balls and beef tacos- both were good. Started with guac and chips- guac was good but chips were too oily. We'll definitely be back again!
Great food, drinks and vibe right across from Citizens Bank Park. Might seem strange to have an Asian/Mexican menu but all of the food that our party of 4 had was delicious. Loved the Vietnamese Dumplings (pulled pork inside), General Tso's Rice Balls, Guacamole Dip, Taco Salad, Shrimp Satay, Cauliflower Tacos...are yu getting the point. You won't find this meal in the Ball Park. Drinks were great, decent wine and beer list, plenty of Margueritas & Tequila. Great spot!
I saw the video for 1100 Social on XfinityLive website. The food looked delicious and I thought I'd give it a try. I didn't realize it was a Flyers playoff game night at XfinityLive. It was understandably noisy, but fun. The food didn't disappoint, great guacamole, dumplings, rice bowls and nacho tacos - all tasty. I'd go again.
We recently enjoyed dinner at 1100 Social. Our server was exceptionally attentive and the food was unique and delicious. Their dragon guacamole (with fried pork belly on top) can't be missed and their chipotle ceasar salad is my new favorite salad anywhere. The house margaritas were perfectly mixed. We sampled a variety of taco platters and all were delicious. Lastly, the turtle brownie sundae and donut holes were unbelievable! Planning an excuse to head back that way for dinner again soon!
The food was excellent. The portions are small so I would order a little more next time but the quality is great. The only negative was the service. Our waitress took extremely long to take our order, bring our drinks, etc. She didn't check on us frequently enough and I was left with an empty drink for way too long. Fortunately the food out shined the service.
Had dinner here on a Saturday night. Since there weren't any concerts/sporting events going on that evening the restaurant was very quiet. Food was great - had several small plates and shared with dinner companion. If you are not in the mood for the normal cheese steak, fries etc. type of meal served in this complex, this is a good alternative. Cuisine can be described as Mexican/Asian. Service was excellent, especially since restaurant was not crowded.
1100 Social is a major step up from the typical stadium fare. Tacos were outstanding, guac was great and the drinks excellent. As good as the food was, the service was better than what you might get in higher end spots. Friendly and certainly attentive without ,making you feel pressured.
Highly recommend it to anyone going to the Sports Complex.
What a great addition to all the bar food and American cuisine you find at the restaurants in Xfinity Live. This was an excellent and delicious find, the food was stellar and awesome fusion of Mexican and Asian cuisine!! I can't wait to go back, this is a must try!
