Seafood
In the midwest, "supper club" means a spot where you can not only have a great meal, but a spot that functions as a bit of a social club too - a place to enjoy remarkable food + great company. One of our favorite parts of the night has been watching our customers interact - running into neighbors and friends, meeting up with family, or just enjoying a night out together - it's our own little social club. So we figured what could be more apt than calling ourselves the 100 Steps Supper Club.

The "raw bar" side - well that comes from wanting a nice, traditional oyster bar to belly up to and dive into raw oysters, clams, and other great seafood.

The two meet in our new spot, 100 Steps Supper Club + Raw Bar - welcome!

100 Steps is the a BYO!

My boyfriend and I were at 100 Steps for our anniversary, this was the second time being there. Everything was absolutely amazing from the moment we walked in. We were greeted nicely by the hostess, our waiter Julian was very attentive, knowledgeable about the menu and so nice. And the food was delicious and phenomenal! Chef Beninato always goes above and beyond and it shows in his dishes. I wish I could give a higher rating! Always a lovely experience!

Very disappointed the only positive was the service. The waiter, the host and the bottle of wine we brought were excellent. I’ve never had short rib that you actually had to cut like a steak. It had no flavor and super dry. The mussels were ok and although the venison was cooked perfectly it had no flavor. We didn’t even have to tell them the food was bad they knew which was a positive. The host came over and quickly took the short rib away and apologized.

A fabulous place to enjoy having a meal. From the oysters to the parker house rolls, everything here is extremely well prepared and service is exceptional. I've been here multiple times and it's a go to place for a special occasion. It's byo. I was there for valentine's day and the special menu was superb. You can't miss coming here.

By far my favorite restaurant in the area. They always have a huge selection of fish and non fish items. It's a great tapas style place that is really fun for sharing multiple dishes. Last time we were there we had the Ricotta Gnocchi, which was out of this world!!

This place is consistently great. Atmosphere is very nice, it’s not too loud and the food is just outstanding. I’ve been here over a dozen times and have never been disappointed. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The owner makes his way to various tables just to check in and see how everything is going. Highly recommend the muscle and clam pots.

The best oysters in NJ. If you can get in before 6:30pm, the raw bar happy hour is great.

We had $60 left over on a gift card and heard that 100 Steps had a discounted Sunday afternoon menu. We ordered a $75 item, which was discounted by 25%, but was very sparse. Dish came with 6 oysters, 6 claims, 3 shrimps, a bite of tuna and a small dish of bay scallops. Felt that the restaurant marks the prices up to mark them down. Felt a little taken advantage of. A better alternative would have been the oysters or clams for 50% off -- but still at $42 a dozen (full price; $21 a dozen discounted), is hardly a bargain. Now, I admit that I normally don't order oysters, etc., at restaurants, so they may just be expensive normally, but for what we ate for $60, it was barely a snack. I would not say it was good, I would say it was fair -- no better. It was not terrible, and the restaurant was nice.... I should add that the restaurant is on Centennial Avenue in Cranford -- not a high rent district -- so I wasn't expecting Oyster Bar prices!

We love everything about 100 Steps! Always great service, always unique offerings that taste divine. The raw bar is always beyond fresh and clean; can’t beat the raw bar happy hour. Each bite is filled with flavor. Their gnocchi is uniquely tastey. We remember decades ago when this space was a pizzeria yet couldn’t be happier to see it’s transformed to this upscale eatery here in our hometown. And it’s BYO. Affagatto all around (with buca on the side) before we go. We noticed the staff is pretty consistent too, not a lot of change which speak volumes about this lil gem. Parking behind too. It’s a real winner!

OHS is a 'go-to' place for us. We celebrated our anniversary there on Friday, 11/9, starting with happy hour raw bar half-price. Appetizers were delicious. Our entrees were the duck breast special and the tile fish special. Both were excellent. The service always is attentive.

Always an awesome experience! Enjoyed the gnocchi tonight (which were tiny pillows of heaven!), some other various and AMAZING dishes, along with indulgent desserts. The menu is always well composted, the dishes are never disappointing, and I look forward to the innovations the Chef brings to the table every time we are there.

We had an early reservation to take advantage of happy hour...oysters half price. We split a dozen East Coast varieties; all excellent; very fresh and briny...shucked perfectly. The dinner rolls we were served were unusual and very good. We each had the 3 course $35 prix fixe...smoked salmon on toasted bread to start; mussels in a tomato and butter broth...the mussels were plentiful and perfectly prepared; the broth was outstanding. Dessert was a cornmeal cake served with corn ice cream. Waitstaff was efficient, professional but also very gracious. We would definitely return.

The last trip was a step down from 100. The live music was disconcerting, the service was subpar and the food was hit or miss. The mussels are always fantastic but the fig and the salmon apps were not up to their usual standards. The waitress seemed perturbed she actually had to serve us and we told them this was a birthday celebration but it was lost on this less than staff on an otherwise forgettable dinner.

always a good experience here at 100 Steps. We go here every so often because we live 40 minutes away. Oysters are fresh, food & desserts are really good, and it's byob...can't go wrong with that. Service is attentive as well. This visit, we tried the pre fix menu ( a first for us at this resto). It didn't disappoint.
