Lively atmosphere with great food. Chef Sonny never disappoints. The specials are always tasty. Service can be hit or miss - we had a few slips during our group dining experience, but the wait staff tries hard.

I wish I could give this food 10 stars! From the grilled calamari to the baked clams to the perfection of the sea bass and homemade desserts, 100 South not only knows Italian food, it excels from steaks to seafood to the many Italian specialties in between. Everyone in our group collectively raved about every single dish...we couldn't recommend it more. The owner greeted everyone and many who walked in seemed like regulars. The bar has plenty of seating and the ambiance felt like "neighborhood gem meets special night out!!" Fabulous place!

We always suggest 100 South whenever we go out with friends. Everyone can find something to eat and they never, ever, ever disappoint! The best restaurant in Elmhurst as far as I'm concerned!

It was super busy the night we went and staff seemed overwhelmed, so it wasn't our best experience. The grilled calamari was not as good as usual, lacking in it's usual great flavor and a bit tough. The burrata with grilled tomatoes and pesto was delicious. The oysters were very good. But the bottle of wine we ordered was a Markham Sauvignon Blanc which was too old and not chilled. The waiter tried very hard to quickly get it cold but we waited about 30 minutes before you could drink it. I didn't notice the year listed on the menu, it's not a very expensive wine so shouldn't be more than a year or two old. It was a 2014, and tasted a bit off. We were seated in the back room which is pretty drab and lacks ambiance. The place is fun if you sit in the bar area or up front. Keep the back room for families or large groups who want quiet. The food is usually very good and fair pricing. We'll try again and make sure to request a seat up front or in the bar.

Went on Saturday night. The waiter was excellent. The food was great. He came around often to check on our group of 4. I had the veal piccata. Even though it wasn't on the menu they made it for me. It was perfect!. I would definitely return.

I've lived in Elmhurst nearly my entire life and I've only been here a couple times. The food is absolutely AMAZING!!! We went on a Sunday night and they were offering 25% off, which was a nice surprise. We had the stuffed mushroom appetizer and it was fantastic! The mushrooms were HUGE! I've had the Chicken Piccata before and it never disappoints. So flavorful and huge portions. I had some for lunch today and still have enough for another meal. The service was great. I will definitely be back...soon!

We ordered appetizers and drinks. Note the drink glasses are very small, the person in our party that ordered bourbon on ice was happily surprised with a full glass. For those of us who ordered drinks, not so much.

The brouchetta was pretty bland and the bottom toast was soggy, the calamari was very chewy without much taste, we used to love their chopped salad but it seemed to have less bacon, blue cheese and tortilla strips. We won't go back there any time soon.

Celebrated Valentine’s day with my husband here. It was our first time at the restaurant and we had a fabulous time! Food is delicious, service is outstanding, well worth trying! The oyster Rockefeller was amazing, I had a sea bass that was on the special Valentine’s day menu and my husband ordered the blackened chicken pasta, which he totally loved! Although it was a very busy evening, the owners took good care of us! Wonderful family-owned business! 100 south just became our new all time favorite! Highly recommend! 😊

Our first visit here to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We were seated in back room that was filled with families. I love kids but was hoping for quiet dinner with my husband. Food was mediocre but service was good. We will not be back. By the way parking is terrible, my husband had to circle the block three times and finally found a parking garage.

We were there on new years eve. The server Brian was very cool! Nice and quiet restaurant. But the food seems to be inconsistent. Last time I had grilled calamari there (sometime in the summer), they were DELICIOUS! Calamari and fresh tomatoes were perfectly grilled and balsamic vinegar was perfectly thickened (evaporated and caramelized). Heaven. This time calamari were like water boiled and had only a few grilling marks on them, tomatoes were totally untouched by any grilling, and all this was sprinkled with fresh balsamic vinegar. Blah. My husband had a steak (which was good), but he swears that in the menu it said that it comes with mash potato, but he got it without anything. Anyways he didn't care, because didn't want to eat too much. There wasn't my favorite 100 south chop salad on menu on NYE. And I am not sure if they even have any desserts. I rarely order dessert (because I am always on some kind of diet), but once in a while I order something. This time we were not offered any dessert menu. 100 south is one of ours favorite restaurants in elmhurst, but NYE visit wasn't too great.

We've been here several times. This was two days before Christmas celebrating a birthday. The food has always been good. The last two times we had the same server (Bruce) who goes above and beyond. Very detailed descriptions of menu items, attentive but not overly... just right. Food is a little pricey but not ridiculous. Ample seating on a busy dining night... a GREAT place to go when all the new hot spots are too crowded!
