They served thanksgiving dinner in an ugly and cold conference room. No windows, no flower arrangements. No ambiance. Food was very poor. Ran out of turkey and took 20 minutes to replenish. Bad experience.
The quality of food was poor compared to the cost of the meal.
Everything was beautiful and the service was superb. The Thanksgiving dinner ham was overcook and many of the side dishes taste the same. The salad and desert was nice. $45 per adult and $25 per child! Not many children eat $25 worth food. Completely overpriced and we still paid $10 for parking! Why do we need a validation if you still pay for parking?
Food was ok. Not worth the price though. Ham was a bit dry. Desserts was nothing extraordinary. Mac and cheese not good.
Turkey was cold, ham was dry. Side dishes very good. Restaurant is dated! On the plus side our server was excellent!
Great Staff, room, food and drink...! We keep going back!
Went for Thanksgiving dinner and was totally let down. Food was horribly dry and salty, desserts seemed store bought and tasteless! Was sat in a meeting room with no ambiance and poor service. Manager stated they had over 700 reservations, clearly the business model here represents bottom line over a quality product.
The setting last year was much better than it was this year. It was much louder than it was last year. The cheese trays were not replenished as they were last year. The food was great, but we often had to wait to have our iced tea replenished.
The service staff remembered us from last year. That was nice. The food was good the service wonderful. I will gladly come back next year.
This was our second year going and we enjoyed it!
Everything very good, except pricey--mamosas should be included in price like other Thanksgiving buffets at other restaurant/hotels.
We went for Thanksgiving-
The food was all cold and bland.
The staff was friendly-
With all the dining choices in and around DC, a restaurant needs to get it right and impress you to get people to come back. I felt this place did none of that. While nothing was horrible, nothing was great either. The food was bland, the service was just average, and the atmosphere was empty. It appears this place is past its hay day. I’ll pass on a return.
Very good service. Waiter was wonderful. Food was great!
Service was outstanding. Food was pretty good, could be plated better, but tasted fine. Food came out in a timely manner.
We have been dining at this location to celebrate a birthday brunch for the last three years. We arrived to discover that the traditional Sunday brunch had been discontinued three months earlier. When I called to make reservations, I was told that the brunch had changed but the buffet was still there. I made reservations for an 11 am brunch and arrived to learn that the breakfast buffet actually ended at 11 am. Why the person who took my reservation neglected to explain that fact is a mystery.
Stayed at the hotel and ate a couple meals there...GREAT service (but under staffed while we were there) and the food was very good for hotel food...by the pool which made it a perfect place for a nosh, a couple drinks, and a dip! Didn't eat breakfast but it smelled wonderful.
Just ok. They don't have the buffet brunch all you can eat any more. Ala cart.
A very quiet Sunday afternoon with great food made for a special Father's Day celebration.
Understaffed, as the manager explained. One waiter, maybe 10 tables, nobody at reception, room service girl and busboy taking orders, delivering food and drinks. Had to get up and fill our water glasses because nobody around! Too bad, because food was good for the price. Manager did apologize and como drinks!
We had the place to ourselves.....such a shame because the staff was great and the food was good -- don't know why it was so empty
Fourth time for a brunch, recommended to anyone who enjoys good food and a fun time.
Nice Mother’s Day Brunch environment.
10Thomas was a great place for a business lunch. The menu has something for everyone; the food is fresh and tasty, and the service was extremely welcoming and gracious. This will be my group's go-to restaurant from now on. Thanks!
it wasn't BAD but the service wasn't outright GOOD. I've been to many better brunches and definitely WILL NOT come back. buffet was clearly old food and not fresh. look for somewhere better..
food was just not fresh. asking for things (like coffee, and then cream) from most servers felt like an inconvenience. nobody explained the brunch buffet situation to us and we didn't have an official waiter introduce him or herself to us. it was awkward. we won't be coming back and I wouldn't recommend to friends
I asked for window seating but instead me and my guest were seated in something like a ball room with bad tables, ugly chandeliers, ugly carpet and no scenic or window view at all. Was not satisfied with this situation at all.
It wasn’t in the restaurant Felt like you were at a wedding reception
We came here for Easter brunch. I honestly was expecting a bit more from the reviews but this place was pretty basic as far as a brunch buffet goes. It was busy, the food was fine. Not sure that I would come back.
I had such high hopes for today's Easter Brunch. I learned of 10 Thomas through Washingtonian Magazine -- they were recommended for Easter Brunch. So I made a reservation and looked forward to it.
The dining room has a very aged look to it. But I wasn't there to eat the furniture. The Easter Brunch was buffet style with an omelette station, a hand carved prime rib station, and a hand carved ham station.
The omelette was very good. So was the ham. Everything else was disappointing. The food in the chaffers was cold and hard. The spring rolls and edamame potstickers were cold, hard, and had no taste. The mashed potatoes were overcooked and disgusting looking. The champagne in the mimosas is not good quality -- immediate headache inducer.
I wanted this to be a good experience, but, sad to say, it wasn't. Between the cold, hard food and the chaotic parking experience (tight spots, poorly directed by hotel staff, and $17 for self park), it was an awful experience that happened once... only once... because it will NOT have a chance of happening again.
The food was decent and our server definitely kept the mimosas coming!! It’s a decent value for what you get. However, just an FYI, the parking garage is NOT FREE!! It’s a $17 fee to park there and the guards will not let you know until you try to exit the garage. We were pretty upset and voiced our opinion, especially after paying $100 bucks for brunch. The manager reasoned with us after arguing for a couple minutes and comp’d our parking. All in all, it’s a nice place and we will definitely return.
Impressive array of food for Easter brunch. Staff was helpful. Décor was lackluster
We had a wonderful time for Easter Brunch. Everything’s from the presentation to the service to the food was excellent.
Great breakfast buffet. Wonderful staff
Good/Great food. Sunday Brunch is excellent. Great Bar Staff
Not a great variety of choices for a brunch but every thing I had was delicious.
Enjoyed the dining for 10 in the bar area. Service was exceptional. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Drinks stayed full, and wait staff was attentive to our needs.
Made a reservation but showed up to a closed restaurant. Instead, they were serving the full menu at the bar/lounge area. Service started well but at some point was non existent. We were eating late but still wanted to hit some other places. We waited so long for the check and to settle, we had to call it a night.
When I got to the restaurant it was empty and no one was at the hostess station. The front desk of the hotel told us the restaurant was closed for the night. I didn't get any notification before hand that my reservation was no longer valid.
We had just come in from NY from a long, grueling, road trip off of I-95. What was supposed to be a 4 1/2 hour trip... turned into 6 1/2. We finally found the Hotel. Was famished! I tried to book the nearest place to eat, since we weren’t familiar at all with the D.C. area. I was absolutely PLEASED! The setting, ambiance, food and service definitely made up for what we went through on that highway trip down! A definite go to!!!
