10 Degrees South
We went there for my birthday and were pleased with the food and service.
Amazing food and a really great rośe. Server recommendations were on point
Planned a nice birthday experience with friends and family. Best decision I made. Nice and yet professional staff. Great menu. Great wine list. Very tasty appetizers and selections. Well worth the time and expense.
Very nice decor, great service, and good, slightly on the pricey side though. Drinks were also good, but I was hoping for more creative cocktails.
Fantastic food and outstanding service. I live in San Diego and try to come here every time I am in Atlanta.
Found the restaurant while viewing Atlanta Eats..did not disappoint wonderful atmosphere / decor and the food is delicious!
Wonderful South African inspired cuisine with solid renditions of old favorites and some fun modern twists. The staff was superb. Efficient, courteous, and very professional. Highly recommended.
We ordered the lobster spring rolls and the prawn appetizer. For the entrees we ordered the chicken curry and the special of the day which was Chilean sea bass with shrimp & basmati rice. Everything from our drinks down to the food was delicious. So far this is my favorite restaurant in Atlanta
This restaurant is a wonderful venue for a business dinner and the owner is very accommodating!!
Solid food with good flavor. Great customer service.
Rack of lamb was delicious! The prawns were great also.
Food was awesome. Server was wayyy to pushy/salesy. I understand his position, but this Made us feel uncomfortable. Seriously thought I must order desert before he would let me leave. Again, continues to be awesome food!
It was ok. Service was good. Food was ok. It was mediocre for a relatively high price.
Dinner was delicious. We had the calamari starter and the safari platter. The variety on the platter was nice and everything tasted great. My favorites were the rump steak and the sosaties. The Di’s delight was a nice ending to the meal. I look forward to dining here again.
The food was good and service great but thought was overpriced. Lobster spring rolls are excellent. The noise was high. We were in a small room with another big table and we could barely hold a conversation at our own table.
10° south is supposed to be a South African restaurant. As a South African myself, I’m probably a bit hard to please. Some of the dishes were of a standard that you’d find back home, but not all. Some were bland or simply improperly prepared. But the main issue is price ... It's just waaay too expensive for what it is.
Make sure you sit at the bar. They have live music and outside seating
Great food, probably the some of the best customer service I've received in Atlanta. The atmosphere was great for a date, most of the restaurant was couples and a couple groups. Most people were well dressed; guys in button up shirts, women in heels, however it wasn't a requirement. The food was delicious, and not too expensive for atmosphere and service, around $100 for 2 people with a starter and a drink each. Most definitely going back for a special occasion.
I’ve always enjoyed dining here and esp the bar with live music
On this occasion we were celebrating my daughters and son in law to be engagement
Food was overall amazing as usual but prawns were not my favorite for the price and it has been better
Also the hostess brought shots which was sweet for celebrating however my daughter and son in law do not drink and her response should have been I’ll get you a non alcoholic replacement but instead they got nothing and were the ones to celebrate ... then upon bringing drinks for others she brought their ginger beer and made a snide comment like “oh I guess this is for you guys” it was very awkward and then with the smoking in the outdoor area after dinner was just not our favorite as it used to be
Spending well over $300 for one night I would have expexted better
Again normally one of my favorites but this visit was disappointing
I love the ambiance of this place. The decor is interesting and tasteful. The lobster spring rolls were perfection. The catch of the day, Chilean sea bass with peri peri shrimp, was also delicious. I definitely would return to try more dishes. You have to try their signature dessert, it's simply divine.
The chicken roll appetizer was AMAZING! The entree was just good, it seemed to be missing a flavor or a spice. The staff was perfect! They were so empathic about making the dinner a very special occasion (date night).
Service was amazing and food was fantastic. The ambiance and decor was nothing short of beautiful. Enjoyed a Anniversary with complimentary champagne. Restaurant staff was amazing and attentive.
The service was outstanding, food was high quality and well cooked, atmosphere was great.
My son, fiance and I went here for my fiance 39th birthday. I picked this spot because for 1, we never been and for 2. It was a authentic south African spot SUPPOSEDLY. I noticed the prices where kind of steep. But that wasn't an issue for as long as the food is good. I now think the review are fake. Everyone saying how good and well seasoned the food is. So I couldn't want to try it.
I tried the mushroom appetizer. The server made it seem so delicious. They where so bitter and sour and tasted like they made up the recipe right then without them testing it first. STRAIGHT GARBAGE. The server asked how was it and we mentioned it was bitter and sour and he just smiled and tried to justify it and asked if he can help with anything else.
Then I ordered the Kingclap fish meal. It was ok. I did eat it all but there wasnt anything special about it season wise. NOTHING South African at all. Something I could have made on my own with little to know season to get the same or better results.
My Fiance ordered the Peri Peri Hen. Which is a whole hen with some type of orange sauce. This was suppose to be some south African flavor sauce. It looked sooo good. The sauce ended up being some plain old buffalo sauce. The hen wasnt fresh. More like it was cooked and refrigerated a day or 2 before. He didn't complain because he LOVE buffalo sauce so he ate it. NOTHING was south African about our meals. It lacked season and freshness.
The free birthday dessert they prove is something a dog or homeless person wouldn't even eat. For that resturant to be that pricey, you would think they will provide better quality food.
The dessert looked like someone vommited on our plate. I also ordered a cheese cake because I felt like the free dessert wasnt going to be good and the damn cheesecake wasnt fresh and seems a few days old or older. This place is was a joke. If you are wanting a good quality meal then you will be ok going to McDonalds then going to this overpriced place.
The service was superb, from the bar to the hostess, to the servers. Felt like I was visiting family! 1st time here and will definitely come back!
This was my first visit there, and I was very impressed with the eloquent atmosphere, the food and especially our server. I was also extremely pleased with the complimentary valet!
I would’ve given this experience a 5 Star rating had it not been for the rude hostess! Other than that, it was a perfect experience! Our server was amazing and knowledgeable about the menu and made incredible recommendations. The ambiance was beautiful and the food was absolutely incredible. I would’ve wanted my entree a little warmer but the flavor was so delicious I didn’t care! Definitely going back
Great food, has a little kick on spice. A bit pricey but worth it. It's bbeen years since I went, I won't wait so long to go again.
Excellent service, spectacular live music in the bar, bartender was fantastic and very personable, food was great!
The Lamb was Awesome and the veterinarian curry meal was Great and both deserts very delicious we will come again
We had a great time celebrating my brother's birthday with Ben on the guitar at the back bar... great music, excellent food, awesome bar staff! Thanks Again
The ambiance was too loud but I enjoyed it. The seating was was not as intimate in the front but it's a great place.
My Boss and colleagues all loved our experience at 10 Degrees South! Everything was DELISH!!
Service was excellent. I had the peri-peri chicken and my friends had a chicken kabob dish. Both were very good.
The occasion was a Birthday Dinner! Elegant dining room with comfortable seating for a table of 6. Subtle African décor. Our server was prompt, courteous, and very knowledgeable of all menu items with accurate descriptions of entrée included sides. Complimentary valet parking was a plus. Will definitely visit this restaurant again.
My wife and I sat in the bar area and shared several small plates for dinner. Our waitress was outstanding! She offered several suggestions, answering our questions regarding wine and food, and they were all right on! This was our third visit here, and while all have been enjoyable, this was the best. We will be back.
My experience was okay, which was odd because I’m a frequent diner. I decided to take my grandma out to dinner at a place (10 degrees) that I’ve been raving about and it was just okay. I always get the app portion of the rump steak because it’s a lot of food. I took some to go and that was the first time ever I’ve boxed my own food. Didn’t get asked what temp I wanted my steak cooked, didn’t get the dessert menu - I feel like because I was dressed a lot more casual than I’m normally dressed I was sized up which is unfortunate.
Overall the experience was very good. Server was very attentive, and brought out a complimentary dessert for my wife's birthday. The decor of the restaurant is very sleek and hip, however a bit too dark in terms of lighting for my tastes. It's a very surprising light change between the front of the house, to the main dining area. The food was delicious, but nothing awe-inspiring. The lobster spring rolls were probably my favorite part of the meal, the peri-peri aoli is very addicting. We also ordered the prawns, which shocked me a bit since it's literally 2 prawns.
The cuisine is excellent and very consistent with the gourmet dining experiences we had while visiting South Africa. Our waiter was charming and knowledgeable. Wonderful experience.
Wonderful service, delicious food, overall delightful experience
