   This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, wide wine list and wonderful dessert. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.

   The wait time was extremely slow and unacceptable. It took an hour for our dinner to come after our appetizer and the appetizer took 45 minutes to come. The food is ok but not over the top exceptional. We won’t be going back.

   Was informed of staff shortage. Service was slow but understandable. Food was delicious! Server was very courteous, apologetic and patient. Despite the staff shortage, we had a good experience.

    Great restaurant for date night. We had the Peri peri spring rolls and biltong for our appetizer. Our main courses were delicious as well. South African wines are amazing.

    Came for a friend’s birthday, and it did not disappoint! We tried a little bit of everything on the menu. Their specialty cocktails were delicious! Calamari, bread, cucumber salad, lobster spring rolls and chicken spring rolls for starters. Entrees: shrimp curry, filet, lamb chops, sosaties, ostrich medallions and peri peri chicken. All of raved about our meals. Two desserts: sponge cake and milkshake. Not a single complaint.m from the six of us. The service was good, the food was excellent and the ambiance was nice. We are planning on making it a regular spot for our special occasions!

    Such an amazing restaurant I highly recommend! Everything we had was delicious and the staff couldn’t have been better. It’s hard to find good waiters these days and it’s because this place has taken them all.

    Not as good as I remember it, but it has been 5 years. Food was okay, but I think there are better choices in the area. I would prefer going to Yobo beach house instead.

    The restaurant is nice. I didn't like the fact that we sat in the front by the entrance. It seemed as though that's where all parties of 2 are seated. My food was bland. The rice had no flavor. My wife didn't like her fish either. Nice environment but I don't think we will come back.

    Food was great, very authentic from what I can recall from my time in South Africa. Quality was exceptional and presented very nicely, unfortunately did not have the space for desert from being too full from starter and entrée, but really enjoyed all the food I had.

    The atmosphere is great, the food is super, and the singer is the bar is really talented. The problem was our service. We were seated for 50 minutes before we were spoken to by any server. Emily, the manager brought us water and nothing else. We spoke with Emily twice about the lack of service and she just stared at us and said nothing. We were also there to celebrate two birthdays, which we had written in our reservation and commented on when we arrived. No mention of it, no birthday dessert, nothing. The food is great but do not expect any service or support from the manager.

    Great food and wine- the Bobotie is wonderful as well as the peri peri chicken. One of my favorite Chastain area restaurants! Often seems overlooked and I do wish parking was easier and valet wasn’t mandatory.

    The server while courteous was inattentive throughout; every time she came - she made an excuse that they were backed up due to several large previous parties; to begin with, it took her 15 minutes to come to take a drink order after we were seated and poured water; she never asked if we wanted another round of drinks; the food took another 40 minutes to be served (we were a party of 3); The food was tasty but not amazing which is what I was hoping this experience would be based on prior visit and expectations of the restaurant; portion sizes (for the meat portion) were relatively small for the price charged - a lot of rice very little meat; overall disappointed; perhaps expectations were set too high;

    It was a beautiful experience for our date night. Our server checked on us a lot during dinner and that comfort knowing that he’s always around and I don’t have to get up out of my seat to find him. He was generous, attentive, and kind. The setting was calm, the art set the tone as well. I’ll definitely go back

    Keaunu was simple amazing! His service was great. Unfortunately I ate something earlier in the day that messed up my stomach so I was not able to truly enjoy the food like I wanted to but the Peri Peri chicken was wonderfully cooked damn near fell off the bone and the mussel had a great taste. I will be back to try the prawns and many other items. Thank you for making our 9th wedding anniversary amazing!
