Supporting the increasingly popular sustainable food movement, we prepare all our creations using fresh, local ingredients whenever possible, complementing our meals with fine wines from Northwest wineries and a variety of beers from local breweries. Feel free to explore our menu.
Our waiter was great, and our food was delicious. Wines were excellent. We especially enjoyed the calm ambiance! This is a place that we will return again!
Margarita pasta was too salty, other than that, we really enjoyed!
Excellent food. Nice, intimate hipsterish decor. Our server Drew was friendly and helpful.
We waited about 45 minutes for our dinner - the filet mignon and crispy chicken. Neighboring tables had ordered, received their food and left before we received our dinner. When we did finally receive our plates, the server didn't mention the fact it had taken so long or offer any apologies. The filet was supposed to be medium, it was very rare, and the chick appeared to have been fried twice (black spots, overcooked look, somewhat dry) and i found pieces of quinoa on the rice that went with the chicken - kind of odd to have food that wasn't supposed to be part of the meal present. It was clear that something happened in the kitchen, but we were offered no explanation. After my wife went to the bathroom apparently upset (she's pregnant and the wait time plus the very rare steak upset her, for good reason) the server asked if we wanted to have the filet put back on the grill or if there was anything she could do - I didn't have any good suggestions. Meal was OK - rather salty and not so fantastic, but fancy looking :). The server and hostess (or maybe manager?) provided desert for free due to our issues. the desert was great and the best part of the meal. We won't be going back, especially with such other great options in this town.
I had the mustard glazed salmon. My date had the tacos. My salmon was okay. Nothing special. It’s something I could have ordered at any hotel restaurant. My dates tacos were the same. A bit bland. We ordered three craft cocktails, all three left something to be desired. It was a bummer because the reviews we read were great. I’d recommend Dogwood for better cocktails and Drake or 900 Wall for food.
Service was excellent and very attentive. The noise was initially loud due to a large group that left shortly after we arrived. Very nice atmosphere, excellent food.
For a hotel restaurant this is above average, but still has that ambience
Another amazing time at 10 below! Drew is fantastic!
Easter was cool here. Food was slightly subpar but the service was so so great and the staff was so friendly.
Drew was fantastic! This has quickly become one of our favorite places to dine. Ask him to make you a key lime martini for dessert- his own recipe! It’s delicious!
Much improved. We regularly eat at 10 Below, but have not been back for a few months because our last experience was sub optimal. But the restaurant appears to be back on track. The lamb loin was perfectly cooked, and my husbands petite filet was equally as well prepared. Service was good, and the wine list always offers good selections. Will definitely add this back into our local rotation.
Finally, 10 Below is back! My prior review stated that the quality of food had gone down considerably, but after dining with friends last night, I can say confidently that it's back to great!
Each of us ordered a different meal. My seafood pasta was excellent, with shrimp, clams, a mussel and a nice piece of salmon. The sauce was a creamy tomato but was not spicy despite my request to add the cajun spice. It was delicious in any case. My husband ordered corned beef sliders, and was quite happy with the 2 sliders and fries. Another dining companion ordered the braised rib pasta and said it was excellent, and his wife enjoyed the salmon dish. No complaints from our table.
In addition to the meal, we had wine and beer on happy hour. The happy hour red wine was a Columbia blend. Not as good as their previous selections, but nice. My brewer-husband was delighted that they had a nice chocolate porter from a local brewery. In our experience, 10 Below only occasionally offers a dark beer on their rotating tap.
All in all, it was an enjoyable evening. Oh, and if it's your birthday, bring your own treats. No freebies here.
For the second time recently we have chosen to dine at 10 Below prior to a performance at our nearby theater. As we have dined early, we have been able to select items from the Happy Hour menu as well as the dinner menu. My wife enjoyed her salad with blackened salmon off the regular menu. I found the fried oysters, crab cakes, and ahi wonton tacos all the be excellent. As 10 Below is a great place to take friends for a quiet and semi-elegant (for the High Desert) meal, we took a friend who very much enjoyed the seafood bouillabaisse. All in all, a very nice evening with good service and excellent food.
Excellent food and atmosphere. Our waitress was amazing.
always a special place to eat and have good conversations that can be heard by all tablemates
While the food was excellent the service could not have been worse. There were only two tables but our waitress was more interested in talking to the cooks and reviewing the menu. At one point we sat for 20 minutes while she looked right at our table and empty glasses at least 5 times before stopping by to see if we needed something.
As stated the food was good however you can get good food in other places downtown and the wait staff is much better.
A wonderful valentine’s dinner for 4 of us. I made the mistake of waiting till the day before to make a reservation and all the restaurants I knew were totally booked. I kept searching for new places and 10 Below popped up with ONE space at 5pm. I grabbed it and was totally blown away by the results. Next time, this will be the first fine restaurant I reserve. The prix fixe dinner was spectacular with a few choices, each wonderful. The women had lobster tail, the men had steak topped with crab. We also had appetizer, soup, and dessert. We added the wine pairings. All perfect. A piano was being played in the foyer, the lighting and service were spot on. We couldn’t have asked for more. Highly recommended.
Wait staff wasn't quite surely but close too it. Food was nothing to write home about. Not bad, just less than impressive. I eat out on the town a couple nights a week and Bend has quite a few excellent restaurants. I attended a Jazz concert that evening at the Oxford and very disappointed that 10 below didn't measure up to the high standards of the hotel. It will be awhile before I return.
What a lively and fun place to eat! The food is interesting, and the bar offerings eclectic and unusual. We especially enjoyed the dessert Napoleons!
We were seated promptly and the service was very good. The portions were small by done very well and nicely presented. We would go back again.
Was one of the best experiences in Bend, would definitely recommend!
We had excellent service!!
Really really slow.
Great food. Attentive service. A fine selection for our family.
I was surprised how small the restaurant seemed. We were fortunate to have a table on the edge-- think it was probably quieter as the whole place was quite noisy. Server was great, food was great. would definitely return.
Food was delicious and well priced. The restaurant was quite busy and our server warned us that the meal would take 30 minutes to come. It would have been nice to have been served bread during that time so we could enjoy it with our wine. Service was good even though the restaurant was busy.
We had tickets to a live performance at the Tower Theater, server understood and kept us on schedule plus a portion of our meal went to the Tower Theater Foundation. Great food, cocktails, wines and service. Very interesting location in the basement of a hotel with contemporary interior design elements. Definitely recommend!
Great food for the price! Excellent value and wonderful surroundings. Liked being able to park in garage with direct access to rextaurant.
We had the Christmas buffet at 10 Below. It was very good! So many choices that we filled up before even making it to the dessert table or cookie decorating table.
Great service, very friendly. Fish was a bit over cooked, but flavor was delicious.
Food was terrible on Thanksgiving! Too bad because reviews are usually good. Sorry we were so disappointed!
What a great place for Thanksgiving Dinner. We had wonderful service, the food was fantastic, and the decor unique. Would definitely return.
We have been dinning here on fairly regular basis over the last 2 years...it is really a nice 'hideaway' for lunch or dinner. Yes, it is on the lower level of a great hotel, but its decor and possible live entertainment (jazz), combined with an excellent wait staff, more than compensates for the lack of sunlight at your table. The down side is that the restaurant, which is 'managed' by the hotel corporate, has apparently become the 'step child' to the hotel. and the recent change of the chief for 10 below is just not measuring up to his predecessor. after 6+ months or so to get the act together has not produced the quality and taste that came before him. Last years Thanksgiving dinner was spectacular, this years was a disappointment. The root 'bisque' soup was more like a puree with the consistency of dry wall paste. The Turkey was dry, tasteless and minimal at best, the gravy had a horrible taste to make it even worse. the best part was the roll & butter followed by the mashed potatoes. Sorry, it pains me to be so critical, if the hotel wishes to remain as a 'five star' due to the restaurant being on premises, they need to step up and do the right thing in putting money into the galley staff, starting at the top. Otherwise the public will eventually NOT come to the restaurant.
We enjoyed a tasty Thanksgiving meal! The turkey dinner was very good and my very picky son ate all of his prime rib! The service couldn’t have been better!
We spent Thanksgiving at 10 Below because we were traveling on a road trip. Thank you to all the staff, but especially Stacey in the bar. We enjoyed the BEST traditional Thanksgiving main as part of a 4- course meal, and enjoyed after-dinner cocktails in the bar after. Will DEFINITELY stay at The Oxford hotel next trip. Five stars on anyone’s scale.
Food and service just average. Had tempura vegetable appetizer(didn’t have enough batter and looked unappealing) and the mushroom philo appetizer(good but could use a bit more sauce). Main dish was stuffed shrimp. Batter was a bit heavy and not sure crab was fresh). Sauce went well with rice. Overall meal was just average. Service was ok but had to ask twice before bread came late into meal.
The locally sourced food from sustainable growers was excellent! Service was awesome!
10 Below happily accommodated my reservation for 12 people and when my group grew to 18 day-of, they made it happen with a smile! Service during our get together was outstanding.
Nice happy hour snd dinner. Very good service from the bartender.
We had the wild mushroom filo as an appetizer, and it was quite good. For the main, I had the hazelnut encrusted wild salmon, and the salmon was cooked perfectly.
