We ate here on Easter. It was hard to believe we were at a Ritz Carlton. Not what you would expect - hoping for better with new renovation.

Was looking forward to taking my parents to 10arts in the beautiful lobby of the ritz Carlton I was disappointed that I wasn't told that the restaurant and lobby were closed and that we would be eating in the vault The waiter tried his best to make up for our disappointment but it would have been nice to have the choice to have gone somewhere else.

We had been to 10Arts last summer and had a great time and went there for a special occassion. When we arrived the lobby was under construction and we got a seat with a view of the serving kitchen... left for another place with more ambiance to match the occasion. Disappointed.

The food was very well done and the service, after a false start, was attentive. When we arrived, I didn't realize the hotel lobby was being redone and there was no one at the restaurant's reception desk. After finding someone, we were seated and everything was fine. A little less elegant setting than their old place in the lobby but enjoyable none the less.

During the renovation of the lobby Bar and Restaurant, it's best to wait. I'll be happy when 10 Arts is back in business. They tell us MAY, 2016. It's a great pre-theater location with a nice bar. The menu is currently limited.

We arrived looking forward to a nice meal at 10 Arts, which we have enjoyed several times in the past. When we walked in the door, there were construction barriers, and we were directed to The Exchange, a side room off the main lobby. We waited for five minutes before anyone acknowledged us, and were told just to sit anywhere. It was loud, with people standing all around, certainly not the quiet atmosphere we have had at 10 Arts. We left without even sitting down, so I can't comment on the food. It wasn't 10 Arts, so if you are making a reservaiton for there, make sure the renovation has been completed.

We had modest expectations due to recent reviews since the restaurant had moved to a temporary location during lobby renovation - especially given that we were late to book a restaurant on Valentine's weekend. To our surprise, the food was outstanding - wonderful smoked scallops appetizer followed by a succulent lamb loin entree. The waiter was also great. We actually liked the ambiance more than in the previous lobby location, which felt rather cold and cavernous. This was probably the best meal of at least half a dozen we've had at 10 Arts over the years.

I tried to make reservations at several restaurants for Saturday evening of the Auto Show. All restaurants were full, and 10Arts was the only table I could get. The Ritz-Carlton is undergoing renovations, and so the only restaurant on the premises is this temporary makeshift venue. I believe it used to be the Cigar Bar. The menu is meager and very limited, the service was desultory, and the room was filled mainly with 20 or 30 men all in dark suits, (no women) and it looked like a clone convention or a business meeting. The food was passable, but my companion couldn't eat much of the steak. I didn't ask why. Perhaps better days are ahead when the renovations are completed. I hope so, as this arrangement is unsatisfactory.

We found the restaurant on Open Table, and didn't realize until we got there that it was inside of the Ritz Carlton hotel... We expected exorbitant prices, but while somewhat pricey, the food, wine-by-the-glass choices, and service were all excellent, and there were entrée choices that were NOT out-of-sight in pricing. The service from Mikhael (sp?) was excellent and extremely personalized. We would DEFINITELY come back!

The quality of 10 Arts dropped down dramatically bc of construction and temp space.
That space is beautiful and i don't understand why the staff could not get it together.
The service was slow. No one was at the welcome desk for 10+ minutes. The food was not even as good even though it's the same menu. Try to correct it soon! I am a regular and won't go back until construction is done.

Due to renovations the restaurant has been moved to an event planing room and it appears the disruption impacts everything from service to quality. When my husband and I arrived we had to wait 5 minutes before the hostess (who was not greeting guests) came to tell us there was open seating. Once we sat down we had to wait another 10 minutes for a waiter to acknowledge us. Then the waiter disappeared for another 5 minutes and did not come back until after we grabbed drinks from the bar. After we finished our drinks, we left. Not the typical experience, but I won't be going back. Service excellence should not be impacted by construction. Hopefully with the new space their rebuild their standards. There are too many options in the city to settle for poor service.

The service was great, the atmosphere was ok; however, I found the lunch menu to be very lacking in choices. Perhaps the dinner menu is different; unfortunately, with all the varied choices of restaurants in center city Philadelphia to choose from, I may not give this one a second chance.

I had the opportunity toeat here for a more casual Christmas Eve dinner after the Holiday Market and Comcast show with my husband, son, daughter and daughter's fiancé. We had a really nice night. The food was good and the service was excellent! The sautéed greens were absolutely delicious! Would definitely eat here again. Am so very grateful 10 Arts was open for dinner on Christmas Eve and more grateful that we had such a fun experience. It would have been so easy for the staff to have been slightly put-off to work on Christmas Eve but, honestly, they were so terrific! I truly wish I remembered the great waiter that helped make our night so nice. Well, to all at 10 Bistro....thank you, thank you, thank you!

While the location is centrally located the restaurant is draped off by curtains in the corner of a great hall which seemed to have much more action than the restaurant itself. The food offerings were very limited but were very good. Small portions with a big price tag do not equate.

When considering where to go for dinner prior to our show at the Academy of Music we went with 10 Arts Bistro as it is the Ritz Carlton restaurant and 2 blocks away. We have eaten here 4 times over the years and it never disappoints.
Organic chicken and duck entrees excellent and salad and soup(tomato) exceptional. Scallops appetizer nice but not as good as the rest of what we ordered. And the dessert-the gingerbread and ice cream, fabulous. You can't get the quality and fresh ingredients that they served most places.
In fact, as I told my server, I like it better than Talulas. Both of them. So there. I hope the waiter told the new chef(someone he referred to as Matthew).
Lovely, elegant but not stuffy and a gorgeous historic building. Expensive but not ridiculous.

All my husband wanted on his birthday was an omelette, a belgian waffle, a pastry, and breakfast potatoes. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find that in one place! Fortunately, 10 Arts delivered magnificently. In fact, the food was so tempting and fantastic that after abstaining from eating eggs for something like 5 years, I had an omelette with spinach and gruyere and it was AMAZING. Seriously the best omelette I've ever had. The waffles and french toast were under a heat lamp, rather than being made fresh and really left lacking... but my husband was happy with his waffle, smothered in whipped cream and strawberries. The fruit spread was incredible - all my favorite fruits - and the pastry spread was also very tempting. Everything was beautifully laid out and the dining area was gorgeous. We will definitely be back.

The cheese plate appetizer was very good, as was the Macaroni, Ham & Cheese. The Fish & Chips were very heavily seasoned, and were sitting in a pool of oil. I think there was more batter than fish, but what there was of the fish was quite good.

The food was good but the service STUNK. I was shocked, as this is in the Ritz Carlton. I asked for a napkin three times. Our coffee was never refilled without asking (again, we had to ask three times). I waited 25 minutes for a bowl of berries...the place was 25% full, it wasn't busy. I wouldn't go back.

We had not been to 10 Arts Bistro for a couple of years, but decided to go after reading some recent comments about the new chef on Open Table and in other reviews. We're very happy we did. The dining area has some upgrades, but we have always found it to be pleasant and comfortable. We found an eclectic menu with many tempting choices and enjoyed attentive and friendly service from our waiter, Dan. I began with the cauliflower soup, a tasty concoction which also contained pieces of lump crab meat. Delicious. We then savored a creative complimentary intermezzo of avocado and hamachi. Entrees were 5 generous Barnegat scallops served with leeks, celery root and gold beets and 5 lovely medallions of pork loin.

Our only quibble was the prices of wine by the glass. We like Belle Glos' Meiomi Pinot Noir, which we buy in the State Stores for $19-$21 a bottle. The Bistro offered it for $25 a glass. I know it is the Ritz Carlton, but in Philadelphia, not Paris. We settled for less expensive choices.

Despite not having an extensive wine list they were out of many of the wines we selected. Although not busy, the pace of service as well as the attentiveness of the server left a lot to be desired. We ordered port which was served in an assortment of whatever glassware they could find. They apparently only had two real port glasses. Given the cost and the disappointing experience it is no wonder that they only had a few tables that evening.

Went with my mom, for lunch before the ballet.
You sit in the main lobby/bar area. The old bank room is beautiful.
They have a limited bistro menu, but good selections.
I had the brussel sprouts and the burger. They were amazing! Burger was cooked perfectly and juicy.
My mom had the cheese plate and salad, which she really enjoyed.
Recommend, if you need a easy place before the ballet.

This was for my 50th birthday. We had been there some time ago under the whole Eric Ripert hoopla. We chose it because I am a vegetarian and they had a few exciting sounding vegetarian dishes listed on Open Table. My husband confirmed this over the phone, but when we got there, the only vegetarian on the menu was salad. Our server, Mikal, said that they could and would accommodate me. The chef, Matthew, I don't know his last name, then came out to talk to me. He talked to me about what he could make. He did not disappoint. It was so very good! They should have vegetarian options on the menu, not just for vegetarians, but for everyone, because Matthew, I wish I knew his name, can really prepare vegetarian dishes in such a fantastic, thoughtful and artful way. I recommend 10Arts to all foodies! and thank you to the wonderful service by Mikai and the fantastic food by Matthew, whose name should be put on 10Arts website because he is a top chef!

We were given a gift certificate and planned to use it for cocktails and dinner at the Ritz. First, we tried to sit in the bar area and all the tables were filled. When we finally found a table for two, my wife put her pocketbook down on the chair as we took our coats off. Before we sat down a rude man and his family just took the table. Even after we told him we were there first and had our pocketbook on the chair, he basically told us to bug off and took the table. So as not to create a scene, we acquiesced reluctantly. We told a waitress of our problem but still could not find a place to sit. We went across the street to a great bar and had an enjoyable drink before dinner and tried to shake off the bad experience.

Our dinner was to be at the restaurant with a view of the open bar area and enable us to listen to the music. When they confirmed our reservation earlier that day they now told us the restaurant was taken over by a private party and that we were going into the private dining room in the corner of the hotel. While it was a nice room, it had no atmosphere, had no view of the bar area and was secluded in what I thought was a big closet. Food was adequate (if you like a menu with very limited selections). Service was great by a caring server who was sympathetic to our problems.

Personally, I was extremely disappointed with a terrible experience. Even worse, we only used half of our gift certificate. I am considering just not using the remaining $200 as the thought of going back to the Ritz just brings back bad memories.

A couple of years ago 10 Arts was probably my least favorite restaurant in Philadelphia. Now it is excellent!! They got a chef and a good one!
My wife had the scallops and they were terrific! Top quality, cooked perfectly and served in a subtle sauce that enhanced the delicate flavors. We also had a salad nicoise and the charcuterie and both were excellent. The nicoise was telling because the tuna was very fresh and very high quality. I like restaurants that employ top quality ingredients.
10 Arts is a beautiful building and it's nice that the food finally matches the décor.
