Service was great and everything was good
Very charming and romantic, and authentically Italian. Delicious food and attentive service.
Chose this restaurant based upon proximity to Carnegie Hall. Our choice was perfect as the Carnegie is a 3 minute walk and the restaurant was excellent.
Located below street level, in a long space with lots of cozy nooks. Even though the restaurant was fully booked, we felt like we were the only people there. The decor is interesting and brought about a warm feel.
Service was knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing or obnoxious. A small bowl of exquisite olives are brought out along with fresh bread to dip into the oil the olives are soaking in. Everything we ordered was excellent: mozzarella burrata with prosciutto appetizer, house-made pappardelle with lamb ragu, chicken francese, and cannoli.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Nocello’s. The staff was engaged and friendly. The ambiance was rustic and warm. Our food arrived in a timely manner well prepared and most importantly hot and steaming. Portion sizes were generous. The wine list was amble and appropriate to the cuisine offered. The desserts were more than worth the caloric cost. Highly recommend this gastronomic gift in the fifties to all who want a special night of indulgence and dining.
A wonderful surprise in the theater district. Food was authentic and completely delicious, the ambiance atmospheric, dark and romantic and the service was very concerned and gracious. A definite keeper!
Got there right on time when they opened with a reservation. Sat right away and it was a relaxing meal. Difficult to get the check at the end but attributed that to it being not very crowded. Dinner was really good though.
Excellent and authentic Italian food in a whole in the wall spot that expands in the back. Great west midtown location.
One of the best Italian Restaurants in NYC...... great food, service, and a nice quiet atmosphere. I mostly travel on business into New York, and the quiet feel yet intimate atmosphere is much appreciated. Can’t wait to visit again!
Nocello made for a lovely evening. We enjoyed a leisurely and delicious dinner. No rush to get out, a very good wine at a reasonable price, and an altogether very nice place.
A concert at Carnegie Hall is always special and we enjoy dining at Nocello. This time the service was a bit slow so luckily we had left plenty of time to get to the concert. The spinach salad with a warm poached egg and crumbled bacon is a favorite of ours! The veal Bolognese was good though a bit over cooked and the Parmesan crusted lamb chops were delicious but pricey. Attentive host couple and good house wines were appreciated as was the delicious cappuccino.
Lamb chops superb as usual!
Excellent ambiance, great service and delicious meals. We were a group of 9 and everyone raved about the meal they had that evening. You will not be disappointed. A spot hidden between 8th & Broadway. Make a point to visit.
Perfectly prepared dishes every time and the specials are wonderful, you never need to look at the menu. Staff goes out of its way to make sure you are taken care of. Always try to make this one of our dinner stops when we visit the city as it is a true neighborhood gem.
Food is delicious. Wonderful romantic restaurant.
Food was delicious, service was great and it was very quaint for two.
Nice atmosphere, quiet, good lighting. Food is tasty with a good selection. We shared a nice arguela salad, an excellent lobster & pasta dish, and a very good veal scallopine dish. Service was professional & attentive. Pricing was very fair. We would go back!
Loved finding this little gem near the theatre district in NYC. Delicious food and cozy atmosphere.
We arrived at 4:50 for our 5:30 reservation without realizing the restaurant doesn't open until 5:00. They were nice enough to seat us when we arrived which was very much appreciated since it was about 15 degrees! The food is always very good. The service is ok....waiters not friendly and they ask a few times if you're ready to order. Nevertheless, I would still recommend it.
