A word from ZZest Market & Cafe
At ZZest we feature products that are small batch, artisan created, and handmade following traditional family methods. We source local farm raised ingredients as often as possible, fly in fresh seafood from the coasts, and fully utilize the ingredients that are at their seasonal best.

Our Cafe is small, and, it is very, very casual (just like the rest of our store) -- the focus is on the food. We do take a few dinner reservations but we save most of the tables for walk in, just to keep it relaxed. So put on your favorite jeans and a comfortable sweatshirt and enjoy an elegant meal without having to count the silverware. And yes, we do have real waitresses and even bathrooms.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Excellent food as always, served with a personal touch. My favorite place in town for sure, beats out many in the big city."

  • "A unique experience including an outstanding selection of cheeses and entrees. This is the place to try something different with the knowledge that the blend of flavors will be perfect."

  • "I took my wife out for her birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. The staff is nothing short of passionate, knowing all the little details of the food and it's characteristics. Their personalities really shined, and it was a comfortable, pampered experience where we had nothing but time to spend enjoying our time together and the delicious food."

  • "My 25 year old daughter and I were really looking forward to our weeknight dinner here! I think it was an off night because the menu didn't offer the variety that it usually does. My daughter opted for the Adventurer's Meal which basically is whatever the chef concocts; she was very happy with all 4 dishes that were offered, especially the dessert that consisted of a combination of chocolate ice cream and flavored olive oil and, I think, caramel with sea salt. My main entree, some type of filled ravioli was bland, not the typical excellent Zzest entree. Eating utensils had to be asked for and the dessert (final 4th dish) came before the 3rd dish. Service & food typically excellent, so again, I think it was just an off night . . ."

  • "I think that every member of the staff asked us how our experience was and if there was anything else we needed. That was refreshing considering the experience was already quite nice with delicious, unique foods and well-mixed drinks. I will certainly be returning."

  • "We had heard so many good things about this place so had to try it out. Best meal we have had in a long time. Real fresh artisan food. Every bite was mouthwatering. It is a small place great for couples or groups of 4. We arrived early which allowed us to chat with the service staff to get recommendations on the menu items. The menu changes so you have to keep going back to try more. This is our new fav place to dine!"

  • "Took my wife to ZZ Zest last weekend for dinner. Have never eaten there before but had purchased items from their in store food market. Food was very good. Menu is rather limited and I would not recommend this place for kids or for those who are not interested in trying something different. The French bread is awesome! The pasta dish I had was also very good. My wife had melt in your mouth scallops but they were on some rather spicy potatoes. Crime brûlée was very good as well. Nothing spectacular but overall a very nice place to eat for something different. Prices are not cheap. Dinner for two without liquor and we shared the creme brulee was nearly 80 dollars."
