The wine, beer, and drink menu was excellent and the ambiance and service were all just about perfect. I mentioned that it was our anniversary when requesting a quieter table online. When we arrived, we were taken to a perfectly discreet table with corner office views and presented with menus proclaiming "Happy Anniversary", a very nice touch. We took our time dining and had as our dinner essentially every appetizer on the menu in several rounds of ordering. There was not a single dissappointment in the bunch. The scallops were seared perfectly, the ahi tuna was sublime, the seared gnocchi were a perfect combination of pillowy-soft/delicate crunch and the fried oysters were unbelievable. Susan, our attentive but nonintrusive server was marvellous. I ordered the cod with mushrooms and it was great. My husband got the steak and he wasn't impressed with the cut. We ordered a bottle of liberty school cab which was really good. I recommend at least trying three different cheeses to start. Also, the goat cheese dessert was amazing! Otherwise ... a fantastic experience overall! The food was great, service was excellent, and the cheese and wine selections were wonderful! It was a special occasion for us, and the restaurant added some nice and subtle touches, which was very cool.

We had the meatballs as an appetizer - delicious. I had the mac and cheese (too much for one to eat) and my husband had the pork. Both perfect. The service was great, and good choices for wine. I recommend a reservation - we went on a Wednesday and it was packed. How can you beat free valet on top of it all? Downside? Wood chairs. Being from San Francisco we get exposed to the best of the best. Zy stands up anywhere. Outstanding food, service etc. But what was the most interesting was that the food jumped out at you. Had not been here since it opened and decided to give it a try based on a friend's recommendation. The presentation of the food was amazing. They have an incredible selection of cheeses and Max put together a great plate with a nice variety.
