"Pretty restaurant,great service.5 course prix fixe meal and each had 1 of 2 choices so we could taste everything.Entree had three choices but since we ended up trading 1 for another we did taste all 3.Salmon carpaccio was great, waipahu carpaccio flavorless. 2nd course, Sunomono Combo nothing special, avocado crab salad really good even though I tend to be put off by imitation crab. Sushi & sashimi, fresh but not much flavor to any fish.Filet with fois gras-warned there was no fois gras and could they sub scallops.Ok steak was not filet but something like hanger steak-Overcooked, grey appearance, flavorless.Redone bass came back less overcooked.Salmon replacement overcooked, not good flavors.Tempura desserts overcrusted.They did comp part."

"I decided, for the first time, to try Zushi over the weekend. I had no idea what to expect so I left myself wide open to absorb everything. To my amazement, I was surprised that I had never been here before! I sat at the sushi bar - service and conversation with Chef Nemoto was excellent. I learned SO much. The value, in relation to the menu, was perfect. In Houston, you rarely get what you pay for...with Zushi, you do. I could choose a wide variety of whatever I wanted and the sushi was fresh. I watched them prepare it in front of my eyes. Highly recommend. If you've never been there...give it a shot."

"The food was good, but the ambiance was not what we had hoped for. Psychedelic music in a Japanese restaurant is not what you expect. We asked to change the music but the manager told us that it was to attract a certain audience. He certainly succeeded. Our waiter was very friendly but has still a lot to learn. Will not go back."

"We had taken a cooking class with Chef Nemoto so I decided to take my date here as a surprise. I don't think the chef remembered us but he was very helpful with suggestions. Because I can not eat anything spicy, he offered to customize the special Zushi House Roll. It was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the Tuna Crunch Roll, Unagi Maki, Bacon Wrapped Asparagus and Shrimp Tempura Roll. All were wonderful! We will definitely go back!"

"Overall the food and service was good. Since I chose to make reservations via Open Table for Valentine's dinner, I was expecting a little more romantic seating. Instead, we were seated along a bench with small tables and two chairs across, making this arrangement more for a lunch crowd. There were booths and as we were leaving, some of them were set up as Reserved. Was hoping that would be how Open Table would work if we used this service."
