Diner Reviews
  • "The food here is excellent, which is why we come back. The service has always been more snooty than friendly, though professional. This time, we had to request several times for the table to be evened as it was wobbly. During the meal, the servers/bussers are way too quick to request to take your plate… even when there is food still on it. Very uncomfortable. They rush you through! Then, when the bill came, after 20% gratuity was added, the server told us and then repeated that although the gratuity was already added, this was not for the server, so we should add more if we wanted to give her a tip! Crazy! Who was it for, then? Tacky. Left a bad taste in our mouth after a delicious meal. Bravo to the chefs! Boo to the service team."

  • "We expected more, despite being a great restaurant. I think the fame, perhaps, we thought we would have something better-and totally different to one of the best Japanese restaurants of miami. something different would be more presentable and more sensible."

  • "Saturday at 1:30 PM. Brunch. Valet service was perfect. My reservation time was respected as a british could not do. The buffet, delicious, as well as the ambience. No crowd, no loud music, nothing. We ate a lot. The buffet had many hot options, as well as sushis and sashimis. For the Brazilians, there were "espetinhos" made of chicken and beef with a special sauce. Risotto, spicy tenderloin, octopus and a lot of satisfaction. It is not cheap, but each cent is well spent. Enjoy!"

  • "been there many times, and every time it's a blast.... great food, nice service ...except when u have a reservation and hey force you to the bar when you are hungry and wants to proceed straight to the table"

  • "I love this place and was hard pressed not to give it 5 stars. The food is wonderful, always exciting and fresh. People watching is good too. The problem is the noise, and also the portions are small and that's coming from a small eater. But if you can get past this, it's well worth it."

  • "Outstanding brunch........terrific selection....expensive,but absolutely worth it."

  • "What else can you stay about that fabulous restaurant? We tried one of the set menus - a bit expensive but quite worth it! We really had a great experience."

  • "Have previously dined there for dinner. Had a great experience for lunch as well. Tremendous array of selections at the buffet plus you get to choose a main dish and an assortment ofdessert is included. Food at buffet is some of the same dishes you can order during dinner hours, so it was good to see the familiar. Pricey, but you get a lot for what you pay for. Website says no shorts orbeachwear, but we def. saw a number of people dressed in shorts. A nonsense rule for lunch time, if you ask me. In any event, Zuma needs to be consistent with their ruling (especially for those of us who stick to them)."

  • "I had eaten there several times and enjoyed it. This time I did not have a good experience. The food was not as good and I was very unpleasantly surprised with a special that was extremely expensive and I had no warning. If the restaurant wants to offer a dish that expensive it should let the customer know. Bill was doubled!! "

  • "This place blew me away...The outdoor seating is so serene, the brunch buffet was the prettiest and tastiest I have ever been to. Unlimited yummy cocktails and champagne, the mushroom hot pot was so unique and delicious. I will never forget this fantastic brunch, hope to be back soon!"

  • "Go for the signature menu and ask for Giovanni , the waiter , who managed to choose the dishes."

  • "The lunch was phenomenal, and the waitstaff top notch. But the rude attitude of the hostess(es) almost had me walking out before we were seated. Also, there was a surprisingly loud and annoying sound system droning on throughout the meal. As long as you're not near a speaker, it's not a problem, but keep this in mind when choosing a table."

  • "I was really impressed!!Some people told me that if I went to Miami I would have to go to Zuma. After some experience in others good ones restaurants in the city. I tought that it would be difficult to have a better experience but I was wrong. At the moment I sat on the table, a french waiter, who was very kind, said to me that the lunch would be my best experience in Miami and as he said it was. He suggested the Omakase and I decided to took the premium one. It was a truly awesome experience that I have had in Japanese restaurants, the tasty and the quality of the food was amazing, the combination of the ingredients, the quantity that was served. The price was worth the cost. Now every time I go to Miami I will go to Zuma! "

  • "They actually read the comments made on the reservation form & included a Happy Anniversary note on the dessert. Nice touch and happy to see that the restaurant reads the comments."

  • "This is the Miami you read about. The fancy cars, the celebrities and the beautiful women with the added attraction of great food. Forget South Beach, this watering hole is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. The cod is the specialty and well worth it. Dinner is a difficult reservation but lunch is a breeze and well worth your time."

  • "This is the third time I go to Zuma, and it continues to surprise me with the quality of the food, flavors and excellent customer service. It is always a treat when taking a tourist to Zuma, as well as clients. You can't go wrong and they will appreciate the gesture. It is also a nice restaurant to have a romantic dinner or lunch."

  • "The environment is beautiful and very well decorated, the view with boats parked in front is wonderful, the outside tables are very welcoming, and the service is efficient and attentive, and the dishes of modern Japanese cusinha are very well executed. the price although expensive, it is fair for the quality offered. Highly recommended! "

  • "My appoitment was at 2 oclock and they gave my table 30 minutes after.without any atention of hostess i stand during all the time The bar for waiting is small and they used for dinner. The worst is that they pressure because kitchen close at 3:30!! When they over sale the place and dont respect the time of the people The food is good but not enough in quantity and is not overstanding Its an expensive fancy place where the management is making use of their 5minutes of fame The waitress and sommelier tried hard and they were the only in agreement of my expectations"

  • "Seated at the lounge but still had the most absolutely wonderful experience - the food is to die for, the service even better. Ambience is lovely. I would give it 6 stars if I could! Do try the Miso Black Cod, the scallops and either of the tempura offerings they have. The peppers are also a great appetizer to join the funky cocktail list if you're there on a fleeting visit. Great for sake and wine lovers."

  • "Zuma was great, the food was amazing. Our experience qas supposed to be awesome execpt for the chef behind the counter who yelled every order (and there weren't just a few of them). During the entire meal we were annoyed by the extremely loud screaming chef."

  • "Go to the Zuma brunch. Yes, it's $95 pp, but for the amount of food and alcohol it's worth it. The service is wonderful. The food is outstanding and they just keep pouring the champagne. We'll definitely be back!"
