"We visited on a quiet Saturday afternoon and had a delightful and leisurely lunch. We started with a generous portion of tasty fried calamari.We also had a hearty cup of chili seved with melted cheese on top and served with tasty and colorful tortilla chips.Our entree was Murray's Chicken served with yummy mashed potatoes and a vegetable medley. Our server was attentive, friendly and professional. We look forward to returning soon."

"When we arrived for our reservation, they were running late and didn't have a table. After waiting in the bar for 15 minutes, we finally opted to sit at the bar to eat. The first glass of wine we tried had turned (the bartender said it had been sitting for a few days) and the second was moderately okay - although it too had been open longer than a restaurant should allow.
We shared a few small plates and a salad. The calamari was somewhat rubbery although it had nice flavor pairing with cherry peppers. The crabcake featured much more bread than crab and the chicken skewers were pretty nondescript.

The description on Open Table includes elegant, top-quality, unique, exceptional and intimate. Zula doesn't really live up to any of them."

"This restaurant has potential, but the night we were there it was disappointing. Between the waitress just not being professional (not knowing what beers were available, needing to be asked if there were any specials, bring the meal before we were done with the appetizers, etc.) and the meals, themselves being average (really over-dressed salad, very dry mac n cheese), it was not a great dining out experience. It might be good at other times - the atmosphere is good, the decor is good, and the menu seemed to have potential. I won't go back, though, since there's no point in spending money on places that aren't reliably good."

"It's a an average restauraunt with average food. I was there for the taste of Hartford, so the service was a bit frantic and the food was underwhelming to say the least. My buffalo mozzerella appetizer was indelibly cold, frozen almost and my prime rib came with a large chunk of fat that could've been easily trimmed off. My dessert was fine, and the drink variety is not bad. The decor is very modern with exposed piping and metal dividers, definitely a good place to hang out. I'll probably give the food another go, one day."

"We had some great apps but left before ordering any mains. It got very noisy with a one loud table. We're ok with a little noise but this one group was over the top. I wouldn't normally mention it but they seemed to know the hostess well and figured to be regulars. The server was attentive and very nice. She gave good descriptions of the dishes and her recommendations were genuine. The tuna tacos were real tasty and the scallop app was really good."
