"Restaurant is located in an area next to ASU with lots of restaurants and shops. The hot cornbread brought to the table when you are seated is absolutely delicious. Service was great and food was first rate. Sadly we we visited this restaurant on our last night in the Phoenix area otherwise I'm sure we would have returned during our stay."

"I try to complete every review after Open Table dining experiences as I rely heavily on other OT diners' feedback. I very glad to complete this review as Z'Tejas Tempas deserves a 'shout out' for sure for delivering a lunch time, patio table, sunshining great experience! Food was outstanding; (complimentary corn bread to die for!)Red Chile & Mango Steak Salad and Baked Seafood Enchiladas - excellent flavour, color, texture and presentantion! I am already thinking up excuses to be back in that neighborhood to try the many other tempting menu items."

"It's not the Tex-Mex that I am used to since I live in Texas and this was more Arizona-Mex but the food was enjoyable. I tried different things - two of their specialties - to get a flavor of what Z-Tejas had to offer. I wasn't disappointed. The fried avocado was actually better than I thought and the mushroom enchiladas were a surprise. I also tried a pork appetizer dish that was okay but not my favorite. Still overall, I would have to recommend this place to others. I want to say they have a vibrant bar scene as two of the people walking out were holding each other up but it is next to ASU and located off Mill Street, an entertainment and party area, so I think the whole area is one giant bar scene."

"We LOVE Z'Tejas and took friends there for their first experience. They also loved it! Keep up the good work. Open up a store in Surprise, please! We would like to frequent your place but all locations are a bit far to drivce."

"we sat outside and were comfortable. service was prompt, the margaritas "wimpy", the food good but not anything to rave about. so, it's a nice spot for people, especially young people, watching and enjoying an above average meal."
