Diner Reviews
  • "Food was very good -- appys were solid though some complaints about the Sopa "cups" being mealy. Entrees were excellent, tilapia and pork were flavorful and cooked perfectly -- the duck tacos were especially good. Drinks were another story, large complex drink menu when we just wanted a good margarita. Tried one on the recommendation of the server and it tasted like gasoline -- no lime flavor at all. Ordered a different one and it was better but my wife's didn't show up until we were finished eating -- they did apologize and took it off the bill. Nice décor and ambiance, didn't feel noisy or crowded despite being packed. Service was friendly and attentive. Come for the food, not the drinks."

  • "Went with a group of six, and every one of us ordered something different. Everyone's meal was fabulous, not one was unhappy. Great guacamole and salsa for fresh chips to start. Everyone cleaned their plates, with liberal sampling of each other's dishes along the way. We had a few desserts for the table, and they were all so good, despite our best intentions to only have a bite we basically ate all of them!"

  • "I return to Zolo time and time again, and it never disappoints. The chef does amazing food combinations. The Monday night Duck Taco special was tasty. Service prompt. Enjoyed their Red Sangria, and only $5 during Happy Hour until 6."

  • "Came in on a Monday night - half of their listed beers were out of stock, they ran out of the sea bass at 7:30pm (when we ordered)....had to ask for all drinks to be refilled rather than the server being on top of it....I'd check out a different spot."

  • "Service was on The slow side, but we had time. The salad was a bit soggy, but all the rest perfect!"

  • "Terrific wait staff, mediocre food. Lovely to sit outside, music needs to be muted. Decent fish taco and salsa tray. But flavorless ribs and awful salmon appetizer. Pair the staff with a talented chef and Zolo's will be a winner."

  • "We were pleased with the variety of choices on the menu, service was good, food was excellent. Wish there was more choices on the wine menu."

  • "The food here is generally great, and we love the outdoor patio. On this particular visit, we experienced extremely slow service. It took 45 minutes for our drinks to be delivered, and everything was very slow after that. It was disappointing and no apology was made."

  • "I've eaten numerous times at Zolos over the years. I have always been pleased with all aspects of the experience. My first brunch there was no exception. Full menu is available in addition to the brunch menu. All six dishes ordered were first rate . Can't miss ."

  • "Zolo is one of the only restaurants where I would literally order anything on the menu."

  • "Don't go here if you want a nice quiet sit down to catch up with long lost friends. That being said the food is delicious and you can really focus on the food since you can't hear others. Drinks are quite strong but delicious."

  • "This was my 70th birthday party, and it was wonderful, except there was so much noise, it was hard to hear each other speak, but again it was friday night, prime time. Food was great, everyone happy, and Zolo brought a birthday desert that was yummy and shared by all of us."

  • "Fresh, unique, delicious! We will come back here for another meal. Had a great view of the Flatirons on a very pleasant spring evening. It was a little noisey for the older gentleman in our group however."

  • "we love going to Zolo's. The food is always great, and the menu is wonderful. The service is very attentive without being over bearing. We were here for their monthly donation. This month they chose to give to an organization that we support - Voices For Children. 20% of all their proceeds for the day go to their chosen charity. What a wonderful community gesture and involvement. We will continue to support Zolos, and continue to dine here. Thanks for a wonderful evening."

  • "Good job Zolo! We came here on a celebratory dinner. The food was outstanding, our waitress was engaging and helpful, the drinks were subtly excellent. Only downsides were the strange fast-food spot ambience (we almost left but were glad we didnt) and the slow first round of drinks (we were already done with appetizers). Excellent overall though!"

  • "Third time eating here. First experience was as part of 'first bite' a few years ago, and really liked it. Two visits since have both been underwhelming. Last visit had us at a breezy seat adjacent to the patio (in winter) next to a family with noisy kids (not what you hope for on date night away from your own). Food was fine, but not exceptional. Guac was bland. A good 10 minute wait for drinks from the bar. The place is fine, and clearly popular (hard to get seats here), so I must be missing something others find in this place. I'll be looking for other options. Finally, the reservation through open table was messed up by the restaurant staff (apparently making a new reservation when I called back to confirm time)."

  • "We have had consistently good dinners at Zolo. The wait staff is very friendly and courteous. The food arrives in a timely manner and is delicious. Great place to meet up with friends."

  • "Sometimes there is a wait but it is worth it. Food is always delicious, not a large menu but if you like it hot and spicy its there and if you don't there is always something for you. Last time I was there the Ahi was delicious. Keep up the good friendly service, makes it all a fun dining experience"

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and can heartily recommend the queso fundido."

  • "We visited on Valentine's for the prix fixe menu. It was great, except they had already run out of one of the entrees and one of the desserts by the time we sat down to order. They ran the special from 6-10pm....we sat down at 7:45. You shouldn't run out that early. Our waiter was exceedingly gracious about this and offered suitable replacements. However, we were not offered any discounts or comps, despite our very apparent disappointment. Poor planning makes us question a future return."

  • "We went out for Valentine's day without breaking the bank, so we went to Zolo's for happy hour. We love the ambiance, and the wait staff are always well timed and courteous. For our meal, the margs were delicious - get the coin margarita! Great eats included: sopas (chorizo & goat cheese!); dry herb pork ribs; and the best blue corn meal fried oysters on a bed of refreshing light slaw! They had a Valentine's Day menu that included dishes not on their usual menu, and it looked delicious and for a great price: $45 per person for 3 courses with 2 small plates/appetizers & 1 desert. We had the option to order individually from the V-day menu, but found ourselves full & satisfied with our happy hour picks. Enjoy!"

  • "Zolo's is a favorite, we return again and again. Yummy coin style Margarita's a house speciality and the Red Sangria. Chicken Enchilada's are our favorite with a delicious smoky cheese taste. A large portion, accompanied with average rice and beans--we ate one enchilada and took the other home. The Queso Fundido with chorizo appetizer is awesome, very rich, we split it among two and it still was too much to finish. Two (one a chef, the other a foodie) tried the Squash & Poblano Tamales and ate up every bite. The outdoor patio is enjoyable in the summer, and closed and heated in the winter for additional space."

  • "Please turn down the volume on the music, or unwire the speakers over a couple of the tables so we can have a conversation! We couldn't even hear the waitress talking to us right at our table. I know for some loud = fun, but I can't bring my parents here bc they can't hear me across the table."

  • "I can always count on Zolo Grill for food from on of the best chefs around, unusual food treats and an awesome over the top Tequila offering. Great flavor and a place to fine menu items that are not like other restaurants. Super convenient location too."

  • "Wow! We kept our reservation on this snowy night. It was our first time here and we will be back! Try the tray of 4 salsas along with the fresh guacamole. Yum! Enchiladas were a hit with my husband. I had tilapia tacos and would get again. Then hot brownie dessert was on the house for my husband birthday. How special was that! Our waitress was amazing. Thanks for a wonderful evening!"

  • "Zolo is one of my favorite spots in town. I decided to bring a date in and we had a great time. The vibe was really fun, which was perfect for a relaxed second date. We both had the chicken enchiladas. Absolutely delicious. Definitely try the egg on top. I'll be back!"

  • "The food was really good, but we had to hunt down our server at least 5 times because he never came back to check on us. He was extremely nice, but he never came back to us without us having to grab someone. This was sad because we planned on having at least 3 more drinks each, but since it took so long each time to get his attention, we ended up just trying to get our bill. It was New Years Eve, so we took that into consideration and will be trying the restaurant again."

  • "Wonderful NYE dinner. The blue corn quail was addictive. The chocolate dessert perfect blend of size, flavor, lightness, and just delicate blending of the various flavors. The buffalo tenderloin was tasty, but tougher than expected. Lobster crema.....could eat just that. All said, a very, very good meal that was just a bit short of world class memorable. But by very little. The service was superior, as my date had a special need, and they easily accommodated her. Go there, eat well, and enjoy. Zolo is a great place, and a good value for the quality of the meal."
