"Overall this was an excellent eating experience, but as a dining experience, not so much. Although the restaurant was not full, the waiter was less than attentive...he seemed to have plenty of time for non-food chatter with couples at nearby tables. He brought the check as soon as the main course was completed without inquiring about dessert or coffee. Chili's provides better service for 20% of the cost. The food was outstanding, with a particular focus on the foie gras appetizer which was fresh and heavenly, and a perfectly cooked steak. The chocolate peanut butter meltaway dessert was delicious to taste but a tad "dry." Excellent wine list."

"A restuarant that is firmly ensconced in my personal "Top Ten in the World" list. Part of that is certainly the fact that finding a great restaurant in State College PA is somewhat ... surprising... but Zola's is always wonderful and its fare easily and positively compares with that of restaurants located in major markets. Not to be missed when in Happy Valley."

"This was our third time dining at Zola's and I have always loved the quality of their food, and I suppose I was so lost in how good it was I never noticed the attentive service. We always had a full glass of water, a waiter that seemed great with us ordering just the Fondue for Two, and salads, and then seeing where we would like to go from there ( We also had dessert!), and most of all, because this was our fifth anniversay dinner, we asked if we could be seated by the windows next to the street, a more cozy part of the restuarant, and they did exactly that. It was the best dinner out we have had this year. The fondue was the best I had outside of my family gatherings ( I'm Swiss), and Switzerland. Delicious and plentiful!"

"Zola is absolutely my favorite place to eat in State College. The food is seasonable, fresh & delicious, staff is friendly and attentive, and the decor is great. A bit pricey but you certainately get what you pay for. Would recommend to anyone."

"We loved the food choice and ambiance, something lacking in most Central PA restaurants.We had several appetizers as our meal so that we could sample more dishes, every thing was great, the cous cous was outstanding."
