ZoeL.E.S. undiscovered treasureMy wife took me there for my birthday. We were both delighted with our meals and were especially blown away by the fried oysters, plump and crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Perfect.
My wife had salmon and I had pork steak. Both were delicious.
Even though we went on a Saturday night the restaurant wasn't very crowded. We were left wondering why it wasn't busier but figured it must be it's off the beaten path location. We would recommend it to anyone and will be back soon.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMInnovative, Comfort CuisineI've enjoyed Zoe's legendary brunch before, but this was my first time doing dinner here. Equally fantastic! Had mouth-watering pork that tasted like sophisticated "carnitas" with collard greens, but I was even more impressed by the octopus escabeche with its incredible balance of moist, ever-so-gently yielding flesh. How did she get that texture so right on an ingredient that so often turns into a rubbery mess by others? I'd also recommend the lemon posset for dessert. It was a refreshing, chilled summer pie with a cotton candy soft graham cracker crust and just the right level of sweetness so as to make it dessert but not fight the delicious citrus bite of lemon. I'm always impressed with Zoe's food!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch is absolutely delicious,Brunch is absolutely delicious, their coffee nice & strong, and service extremely friendly & attentive. I will be back to try their lunch and dinner!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA gem in the Lower East SideI was very impressed by my dinner there on Saturday night. The wait staff was very attentive. The octopus was delicious! I had the dorade, a whole fish perfectly cooked with a side of brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts is a must to order! We fought over who would eat the last piece. In all I would absolutely recommend this restaurant because it is a gem.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMIntimate Weeknight SettingMy fiancée and I came here to celebrate our engagement. It was during the middle of the week, so the atmosphere was quiet and intimate, perfect for just the two of us, unlike weekends when I'm told the place is buzzing with activity. The Brussels Sprouts live up to their name. The coffee was a great way to end before our drive home.
Making the reservation via Open Table was a piece of cake, despite needing to modify the reservation a few times.
All in all, a great experience.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMZoe is a definite neighborhoodZoe is a definite neighborhood gem. Inventive brunch menu and sunny vibe. I want to try everything on the menu especially the fried chicken with blueberry pancakes special.4/7/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great timeExcellent spot. Very tight dining floor once the space fills up, yet an awesome ambiance remains from the great service, cocktails and food. Will continue the trip from Harlem to dine here more often.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMWill definitely go back.Been for dinner and brunch. Love the food and drinks but the service is slow, slow, slow. Restaurant was quite empty despite it being New Year's Eve which was a little off-putting. Ordered the rose from the wine list and was very disappointed.
