ZoccaFabulous food and serviceWe couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate a birthday and a fun trip to San Antonio! All of us dining together loved the dishes we ordered. The warm bread served was delicious and the server was attentive. Best of all, the server brought out a beautifully decorated tile with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate swirls along with a lovely presented dessert.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGem on the River WalkThis is a very good place to take a customer out to dinner or lunch. They will not dissapoint in ambiance and quality of food.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat River Walk RestaurantEnjoyable restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating next to the River Walk. Service and food are great! Relaxing atmosphere where you can have a quiet conversation and enjoy dining out.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMZoccaThe service that we received that night was terrific! When we finished dinner, we wanted to enjoy an after dinner drink outside to take in the scenery. Our waiter made sure we got the attention of the bar server and got taken care of in a prompt manner. I would return to this restaurant.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing birthday!!!I reserved and I put in the comments that it was my girlfriends birthday and they took care of all. The food was great specially the Lamb chops. At the end they surprised us with a beautiful desert. I highly recommend Zocca and I'll be there next time I visit SA.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMFRESH & DELICIOUSOur order consisted of:
- Calamari
- Garlic Bread & Oil-Balsamic Vinagrette Dipping Sauce with Basil
- Crab & Alfredo Pasta with Asparagus shavings
- Quattro Formagio Pizza (& I added Heirloom tomatoes & Basil)
All of the items were fresh, handmade, handcrafted taste dishes. No imitations here!
Perfect! & the whole meal didn't cost more than $30. That's for two people with an appetizer!!! The price was on point!!!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat early dinner place for kidsMy husband and I brought the kids down to the River Walk for the first time. We were looking for something with good food and a view. Going early and sitting outside made us comfortable bringing a 3 and 7 year old to this nice restaurant. The mussels appetizer and Sea Bass were delicious. The kids pizza is large enough to share between 2 kids. The seafood risotto was a little bland for our taste. The lasagna was also good. Service was great.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat restaurantThe location is a quiet spot on the normally hectic River Walk. Our waiter was a little forgetful but the manager was always present and helped immediately with anything that was overlooked. The food was amazing, I had the Caprese (wonderful heirloom tomatoes and housemade cheese) and the Papperdelle and they were both amazing. I am Italian and usually very hard to please when it comes to Italian food but they were amazing. Also my husband loved his Alfredo, normally he only eats mine :)5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMA hidden oasis from the crowds,A hidden oasis from the crowds, great food, well prepared and presented at reasonable prices. An international (NATO) recommendation!5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a delightful eveningWe had a delightful evening here. The staff were efficient, friendly and couldn't be faulted. Loved the position right by the Riverwalk. All in all a lovely dining experience.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMThis restaurant is a veryThis restaurant is a very good spot for buisiness occasion. The food is excellent and the service fabulous.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulWe enjoyed our dinner here. A wonderful patio table next the River Walk was reserved for us. Our waiter was fantastic. They have a wonderful gluten free menu, but you have to ask for it. It is not noted any where on their regular menu. Waiter was very knowledgeable about what main courses could be made gluten free. Even brought me out some gluten free bread. My husband enjoyed their fantastic olive bread before dinner. My husband enjoyed the Pappardelle as his main course and enjoyed it thoroughly. I had the brick oven chicken. The chicken was very tasty, but included some dark meat which I didn't care for. We enjoyed a crème Brule for dessert.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a wonderful experienceWe had a wonderful experience at Zocca! We were seated at an indoor table and still had views of the river and a lovely breeze. The wait staff were very attentive and efficient. The restaurant manager did an outstanding job of going over gluten free options on the menu (I have celiac) and making sure that everything was to our liking. We will definitely come back!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyed a great lunch. However,Enjoyed a great lunch. However, the pasta small portion is indeed, pretty small. So, keep that in mind when ordering pasta. Overall, food and service was very good!4/11/2013 12:00:00 AMon the riverwalkgreat place- we started off outside on the Riverwalk and when it got a bit chilly our server moved us inside where we had dessert by the glow of the many candles- very nice atmosphere and great waiter4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was fantastic, but serviceFood was fantastic, but service was absolutely terrible. We sat outside on the river, which was a beautiful view and would definitely recommend sitting by the river (if you're alright with ducks walking around the tables). But again the main point of this entry is that while the food was top notch, you can expect to basically be on your own throughout the meal. Sure people will come by and ask if you're okay, but you can tell they have somewhere else to be. We went through the entire meal without having our water glasses filled, despite asking multiple times. Never received the glasses of wine that we ordered. We decided to give coffee and dessert a try. The marscapone cheesecake was delicious, but the coffee was cold.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Afternoon Had by All! ThA Great Afternoon Had by All!
There were six of us for lunch, none of us having been there before. Everything about Zocca was great. Great menu, great waiter, delicious salads, soups, sandwiches and other lunches and desserts. The servings are very generous and the price is right. We will definitely return and tell others about this wonderful restaurant in our hometown of San Antonio.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMAnother enjoyable Zocca feedAnother enjoyable meal at Zocca! Daniel was a most friendly, accomodating and polite server. He handled our "challenging" group with professional poise. We enjoyed the stuffed portabella and baked artichoke starters. We all orderd the salmon entree but unfortunately, this most anticipated dish was not "as delicious" as we remember from a late lunch/early dinner seating in December. The saffron broth lacked the rich, developed flavor that we so enjoyed and the salmon was over-grilled (I think it was poached in December?).For dessert, we devoured an opera torte, apple-walnut bread pudding and apple/cranberry tart. All were SUPER-YUM.The bread pudding had the perfect not-too-mushy-texture and the flaky, sweet, butter tart crust was the sleeper fave!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA great restaurant in the WestinWe had a great dinner at Zocca. We all started with wine and cocktails which were all good. The bread was good and the salads were very good. I had a chicken dish that was excellent and my husband also had a chicken dish - a scallopine and he said it was also delicious. My boss had a pasta dish which he enjoyed. It is a very nice restaurant in the Westin Hotel right on the Riverwalk. You can watch the boats go by and it is a very relaxing atmosphere. We also had breakfast in the restaurant while we were staying there and it was very good. I would highly recommend one of their omelets or the waffles!2/28/2013 12:00:00 AMa nice place to visit! We found this restaurant on Yelp and were not disappointed! This is a good restaurant to go. The food was good, the service was nice and fast. The outdoor patio is very cool and quiet. The truffle fries are perfect!!!12/23/2012 12:00:00 AM
