This is a trendy little place hidden away from view. There is a small outdoor seating area, which can be an especailly nice place to eat on warmer nights. The inside is cozy with an interesting decor. There are multiple televisions, which can be both a pro and a con. The menu is not full of the typical touristy feeling Mexican food selections. They did accomodate our requests for some small adjustments to their dishes - I wanted a vegatarian version of the chicken enchiladas. The freshly made guacamole is definitely a highlight.

Nice lively atmosphere but came away underwhelmed by the food, mostly because some of the flavors were too overwhelming, like smokey tasting passion fruit margaritas and enchiladas with far too much cinnamon. The guacamole was good, though not made tableside as advertised.

We arrived promptly at 7:45 for our reservation for 2 and were seated immediately at a cozy table for 4 in the back. I appreciated this since the tables for 2 were out in the open and less intimate. The server let us taste the wine special and another wine before deciding too, which was great. The shrimp ceviche and fish tacos were excellent, but small portions. The chicken dish we got was interesting, but still good. Chocolate tres leches cake was also delicious. We ended up being there for 2.5 hours and closed the restaurant! They didn't rush us at all!

First, I want to say that I love their food. However, I had an awful experience with one of their waiters. He mis-heard an order at our table (he did not write down our orders, nor did he repeat any of them back to us) and when the food came out, and it was wrong, he blamed the girl that ordered the food. He did not apologize for messing up the order and instead made us feel extremely uncomfortable for saying that it was wrong. He did not refill our drinks or our water until we were finished with our meal. He then included a 20% tip with our bill. The manager apologized and offered to take the tip off of the bill, and handled the situation correctly. The food was amazing, but watch out for the waiter that looks like John Candy (Uncle Buck).
