In true Zingerman's fashion, samples are happily presented for everything you wish, even wine and bourbon. Highlights for us--a warm spinach and mushroom salad, "meat and 3," a steak with choice of 3 sides (I had mashed potatoes, greens cooked with hammocks and bacon), and mustard cole slaw), and a bar-b-que trio (chicken, pork, and beef with 3 sauces). sea. The crab cakes seemed awfully small plus we ordered two, one for each of us and
one was very small, the other a bit larger, quite a difference in size. One other small
thing: I ordered the caesar salad and when it was brought to me the leaves were not
torn or cut but laid out in a flat fashion... I am accustomed to having the salad dish
with torn or cut Romaine rather than laid flat on the plate.... but it tasted terrific

Three had been before, three not. Without exception everyone had difficulty choosing from the innovative menu. Also without exception all enjoyed their choices. We had a 2 entree gift certificate for a past bad experience with service. Alex Rojas was our server and he was fantastic! Not only that, but the food came out extremely quickly and it was delicious!! The warm spinach salad was to die for, as was the fried chicken. The bread is always amazing, and of course we had to get dessert. Our sugar teeth were overjoyed with the fried donut and the pecan pie. And although the service is exceptionally good, waiters exceptionally polite, the place is really loud and busy, and I wouldn't call the atmosphere relaxing. He saw this restaurant on there and we decided to take a weekend trip & drive to Ann Arbor to visit this specific restaurant & a few other places. We both loved Zingerman's Roadhouse. From the food to the service, everything was great! I wish we lived closer so we could go more often.
