Zingari RistoranteZingari Ristorante!We enjoyed an early dinner at Zingari on Saturday evening. This is not a big noisy place; it is small and intimate. Our table was ready when we arrived, service was attentive,and the food and drink really nice. We used the price-fix menu for our selections and found it included several really great choices for all three courses. We enjoyed it and will return.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AM50th Anniversary CelebrationI needed a restaurant to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with family members. I preferred a private room, but the extra cost was more than I wanted to pay, and I didn't want a predetermined menu. After exchanging emails with owner Krishan Miglani, I decided on Zingari Ristorante. Krishan said he could offer a semi-private table for our party of nine. We couldn't have been happier with the setting in the small room adjacent to the Marble Room. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the excellent food, and the service was superb. Best of all, we were not rushed in the least. In fact they allowed us to stay as long as we wanted, which was greatly appreciated because getting everyone together from different parts of the state is a rare treat.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was nicely presentedThe food was nicely presented and very tasty. Our waiter was just outstanding. The service was a little slow due to a large group ahead of us and he was very gracious. Well located for a night out to the theater. Very convenient from BART.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing but at 38 I was a youngin.The food was absolutely amazing (apps, entree, and dessert and I cleaned all 3 plates). Our waiter was attentive and friendly and everything came to the table perfectly timed. My only gripe is that the manager (some older man standing at the front with the host) was overbearing and needs to let the highly competent waitstaff do their job. He was hovering and made everything seem too urgent when we were trying to have a romantic evening. I marked down the ambiance because the place seems to attract loud complaining old people, and as expensive as the place is, I didn't appreciate someone bringing their screaming crying baby. Luckily the baby crying only ruined our dessert.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMSandraMost enjoyable! The Wild Boar Osso Bucco and Risotto was fabulous! Excellent food, wonderful service and quiet enough to converse with your party.4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFennel salad was wonderfulFennel salad was wonderful - light and crisp. Chicken breast with crisp polenta was so very good. My friends' penne pasta was delicious. Only "complaint" was that there was too much cocoa atop the otherwise yummy teramisu. Well worth checking out. I know we will go again.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWe enjoyed our meal. SinceWe enjoyed our meal. Since it was in hotel, which we didn't realize, it was expensive. It was especially so for our eating partners, who neglected to ask how much the special lamb chop dish was. It was $42 ! (pretty high since other entrees were nearer to $30.}
Service was outstanding.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGood food and wine with fantasticGood food and wine with fantastic service. We were very happy.4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was exceptionalThe service was exceptional and food very, very good. I had the Pappadelle and my husband the pork chop. The Pappadelle was exceptional, fantastic. The only problem we had was the pork chop my husband ordered was dry. That said, the sauce served with it was very tasty so he just used it to saturate the chop. We have found it is very difficult to get a good, moist pork chop in general. Other than that, we would absolutely return.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMA wonderful place for an elegantA wonderful place for an elegant dinner or pre-theatre.3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGood portion sizes. GoodGood portion sizes. Good selections of food with good explanations of ingredients. would go there again for special events due to a little pricey for us.3/20/2013 12:00:00 AMService was top-notch andService was top-notch and food was good. Wine list was reasonably priced. Given the location, near Union Square and the theaters, I was expecting a bit of a tourist trap, but it was nothing of the sort. Recommended.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent service, deliciousExcellent service, delicious food, great restaurant before the theater.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMZingari was such a pleasantZingari was such a pleasant surprise! The restaurant is extremely easy to reach and to find from Union Square. In a city famous for its many nice restaurants, Zingari stands out.
The dining experience was patient and upscale; the service and server were terrific and the food was great. The host at the door was very responsive to the Open Table reservation and provided us a lovely table.1/9/2013 12:00:00 AMReliable Italian just off Union SqZingari was very good. To have a professionally-served, old-school Italian meal just off Union Square is a treat. Appetizer and dessert were not a particularly good value, but mains were excellent and generous.11/24/2012 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service butGreat food and service but the location within the hotel is odd at best.1/1/0001 4:00:00 PM
