A word from Zinc Wine Bar & Bistro
Zinc is a lively three level bistro in Historic Nob Hill. Featuring an open, urban ambiance, Zinc offers casual fine dining on the main level and the loft mezzanine. For those looking for an exciting show, the exhibition bar offers seats right along the open kitchen. The menu focuses on high quality - yet affordable - American bistro fare and utilizes seasonal ingredients, many of which are sourced from local farmers. The Cellar Bar offers the same extensive wine list and premium cocktails as the upstairs, but in a more intimate lounge atmosphere with a lighter menu. The Cellar also showcases live music on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday nights, and a DJ every Friday. Visit www.zincabq.com for menus, pictures, and upcoming events! Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "Food was excellent, and wait staff were attentive. Noise level, however made conversation difficult."

  • "We went there for my birthday, wife & 2 sons. Normally we go to the Mediterranean-type restaurant down the street but wanted to do something different. We'd been to Zinc in the past but it's not our usual choice. Due to possible scheduling issues with the adult sons we decided to go early, 5:30, for dinner and did an Open Table request at the last minute. Service was great and food very good but not perfect. Still, we'll gladly go back. Zinc is in our general neighborhood and we like to patronize places like that."

  • "Food always good and consistent. Chef's table always a good experience"

  • "Appetizers and entrees providec a varies selection and good quality. A refewshing change from the many pedestrian restaurants in Albuquerque. Food ambience as well. Top of our list when we go to albuquerque."

  • "Great food... wonderful portions,, Attentive service... Did restaurant week...Great price...great food....great service. Went to others during restaurant week. This was by far the best of the best!"
    Dined on 3/1/2014
  • "Loved the idea of the tasting menu for $30. Turns out they always offer a tasting menu for just a few dollars more. That alone would bring us back. But with the enthusiastic service, wonderful food, and lovely surroundings, we would go back even without that."
    Dined on 2/27/2014
  • "Don't forget your parking money. Arriving after 6 pm means the City of Albuquerque will allow your vehicle to remain on their streets, but before 6, you need to pay for metered parking. I really liked the scallops, but the menu had other choices I'd probably like too. Nice place to meet, talk, enjoy a slightly overpriced, but very well prepared meal."
    Dined on 2/24/2014
  • "The restaurant is great and was quite busy for a Sunday evening. It is a bit noisy when full. Highly recommended"
    Dined on 2/23/2014
  • "Three times, and each time it's been good, all good. Despite what had to be a hugely busy weekend, the chefs performed with steadiness and commitment to plating great food. Desserts spot one, as were our drinks. Staff attentive, but not obtrusive. Thanks, Z Bistro, for a great night out!"

  • "I have never been disappointed here. Food is well executed, wait staff is always accommodating and the atmosphere is a perfect mix of neighborhood hangout and also a special occasion destination"

  • "Got a reservation for two easily on a Friday early evening. We had a great server that explained the menu and specials. Sat upstairs and had a view of the entire place."

  • "THE EXPERIENCE AT ZINC WINE BAR AND BISTRO WA A WONDERFUL FOR ALL OF OUR FAMILY. THE FOOD WAS GREAT ND THE SERVICE OUTSTANDING!!! PERFECT PLACE TO GO BEFORE A CONCERT AT MANY VENUES IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA!!! THANKS FOR A GREAT TIME!!"
    Dined on 2/5/2014
  • "All in all, the food, the service, the wine (a full bar is available as well) were wonderful. Our only complaint was the noise. The restaurant is quite loud. This could be purely that it was a Friday night and we arrived with an hour to go in happy hour (5-7) We went downstairs after dinner to the cellar bar. also loud."

  • "was a thumbs up. We enjoyed our waiter, food was alright. Unfortunately, we didnt find it to be the place to rave about. But might give it another try sometime....Just to see"

  • "If it was not for the previous reviews and recommendations, I would not have tried. Found a new place and the food was incredibly delicious!!"

  • "Zinc has a sophisticated atmosphere but also quite welcoming. The design sets it apart from many restaurants and clearly indicates the hand of an excellent architect. Their bar is beautiful, warm, and the drinks are served with a generous hand. The menu is varied and offers half portions for those who are not too hungry. The service is friendly and competent. Whether you order an appetizer or one of their special dinner entrees, you will not be disappointed. The prices are within reason and you can limit your spending by ordering the half-size orders if you are inclined. It is a well thought-out restaurant, run by a highly competent restauranteur who also runs two other excellent restaurants in Albuquerque, Savoy and Seasons."

  • "Went for my birthday dinner. 4 of us, a couple drinks and full meals with appetizers and dessert- reasonable price, great food and good portions... what fun"

  • "We had an excellent brunch with friends to celebrate the holidays. I had the trout served over spinach and butternut squash with fried eggs on top. It was smoky and delicious. Each of us selected a different entree and enjoyed our brunch. Price is fair for the quality and portions. Service was a little slower than usual, but our server was also taking care of a huge party 20+ at the same time as well as several other small tables. Looked like perhaps they were down a wait staff member, but all members of the team pitched in to make sure plates were cleared and drinks refilled."

  • "Consistently excellent - great food and wine selection. The service was great - our waitress actually knew how to serve the absinthe we ended our meal with."

  • "wanted to take my wife to anew place for her birthday. The atmosphere was ok, but the steak we ordered was very dry ( even though we ordered medium-rare) I've had better steak at Applebees and Longhorn steakhouse.. and this place was 50% more expensive."
    Dined on 12/7/2013
  • "The food and service was great ~ thank you for accommodating my gluten free dietary restrictions! The waiter knew the menu and was able to recommend or have the chef change the plates as needed."

  • "As always, Zinc was an excellent choice. The food and service are perfect."

  • "Our experience at Zinc was fantastic. The server provided excellent recommendations for each of our courses, as well as good wine pairings. The food overall was very good. My lamb was cooked perfectly. The only downside was that the sides that came with my meal were a little underwhelming and underseasoned. Particularly when I consider how well cooked my protein was. However, that would be my only knock. Great environment, great service, and great food."

  • "This was truly a great dining experience! Out waiter Bryan, did a great job in making the evening memorable, with his outstanding service! His menu suggestions helped point us in the right direction."

  • "Zinc is a lovely restaurant in Nob Hill area. Good wine selection with wine flights so you can compare and contrast 3 different wines. As this was a birthday dinner for my husband, we needed a Monday dinner reservation. Zinc is one of just a few nice restaurants in Albuquerque that is open Sunday and Monday evening. Spousal unit and I split appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert. It was plenty of food for 2, just getting 1 of each. We had the pan-seered flank steak with a cracked pepper rub and it was quite good."

  • "Zinc continues to impress! The food was nothing short of superb! We enjoyed the ruby red trout which was the best ever! The place was hopping on a Wednesday night! Don't say that Hump Days don't exist! Don't miss this great restaurant!"

  • "We split the potsticker appetizer. We got the large portion (6) which I was worried would be too much. I'm so glad we each got 3. They were amazing. Crispy and succulent. We split the beef with the port demiglaze. Not only was our appetizer split in the kitchen to 2 plates, our dinner was as well. Again--perfection. A perfect portion for us. I love that the menu has several options for sizes of plates. For dessert we shared the carrot cake--another great choice. I will definately go to Zinc when I return to Albuquerque."

  • "Service was very slow ... our waitress seemed to have too many table to juggle. The food was just ok ... not awful but not great. The bread was a bit stale."

  • "Our group of four old friends really enjoyed the fixed price dinner of 3 courses for $30. We also enjoyed the wine flights for a very reasonable price. Ben, our server, was attentive and informed. The goat cheese tart was excellent as was the Lamb, Beef and Pork."
