Zinc Bistro & Wine BarPleasant surpriseMy wife and i were out for an evening and I selected Zinc for a couple of reasons. It's connected to Boudro's, and the menu offered choices at reasonable prices. Guacamole prepared at the table might used more spices, but it was delicious anyway. We had fish and chips and pasta.... both of which were seasoned "just right". We will come back on our next visit. Prices at the restaurant were so reasonable but do not let low prices on some items lead you to think quality will be compromised - it won't be. Also had the Cesar Salad for $3.00 and was exceptional - love this place so much we went there twice in five days in San Antonio - would have gone more often if had discovered it earlier. - Fantastic wine list as well and also has a cigar menu if you so desire!!! Their prices are reasonable, but if you go during Happy Hour, then you'll get great prices for the quality. Half off drinks and appetizers. I recommend their signature Prickly Pear Margarita, Hand-made Guacamole and the Zinc Burger. We split the pear salad--delightful. We then split the fish and chips--perfect for lunch for the two of us. The cod couldn't have been cooked better. The fries, could have been a little more crispy.
