Good central PA Italian. Their take on Penne a la vodka surprised me. Less cream, more tomato, and sweet sausage tossed in.

As always, it was lovely. We had the private wine room which is great for special occasions or more private meals. We all loved what we got as well as a nice wine. Dessert was great too. We highly recommend it!

we were in town for a convention and we're looking for a place for dinner. First it was a table of 8 than 10 then 13. The restaurant was very accommodating and was able to place a soul together. Appetizers were wonderful. The general consensus was that the entrees were not particularly up to snuff. For example, my filet was a bit overdone and really had no flavor. The garnish and accompaniments were quite good but the basic protein was lacking in flavor. This was a bit odd because we've been to za's before and always had a great meal. Would still go back again.

I don't understand all of the positive reviews to date. Easily the worst meal I've had in a long time. The chicken and shrimp scampi (chicken and shrimp in scampi?!) Was completely tasteless and instead of being in bite sized pieces, the chicken was tough and in cutlet form. Veal piccata was also tough and tasteless. Meanwhile the shrimp fra diabolo was too spicy and complete overwhelmed the shrimp. Definitely won't go back.

We ate dinner on a Saturday Night. The food was very good, but the server acted like we were bothering him. He was a little slow, but nothing too bad. Maybe he was having a bad shift. He never told us his name or the soup, everything was a one word answer. A little personality would have made the experience a lot better. However, the food was very good and I would go back again!

My husband and I had never been to Zia at Red Door and decided to give it a try. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. BUT, service truly left something to be desired. Our server shared that one of the servers had called off so they were one person short. There were several larger parties in the restaurant that night so a party of two was left to wait and wait and wait. The larger party next to our table had no clue that their conversations could be heard by the other tables in the room. The children were rather loud. We like children....we have our own....but.... As I said, we will try again as the food was delicious but service was truly lacking during our visit.

My wife and I went to Zia for a Valentine's Day dinner together and was happy with every aspect of our experience: 1. we were greeted immediately and ushered to our reserved table; 2. The waitress was pleasant and competent; 3. we ordered wine and it came within a few minutes. Moreover, the wine was excellent. My wife had a Chilean Cab. Sauv and I a Riesling; 4. The Thai calamari was the best calamari we ever had! The rings were plump and juicy and seasoned just right. The words "rubbery' or "overcooked" never crossed our minds. 5. I ordered a salad which came in between the appetizer and the entree. It was very fresh and not over done with dressing; 6. We both ordered the scallops over risotto, which were excellent! I highly recommend!

Enjoyed an early New Year's Eve meal at Zia's and had a pleasant evening. They ran a limited menu because of the holiday crowds but there were still a good selection of dishes covering a range of tastes. Our server was very pleasant and helped with menu suggestions although service was a bit slower because of the holiday - that wasn't really an issue though as we enjoying a quiet holiday eve. Would definitely recommend Zia's for a romantic meal.

The meal was great here as usual. The Thai calamari was unique and equally delicious. Chicken Parmesan comes with spaghetti I could swear there was one pound of carbs on the plate. I only ate the chicken. The waitress was extremely poor, when asked about specials we were told its in the menu. We inquired about how one of the dishes is prepared she did not know and she did not volunteer to find out. The previous wAit staff were very knowledgeable so maybe this one was new???

The food was good. I had a Filet Mignon that was very tender and cooked as I ordered. My companion had a pasta dish that she didn't like as the sause was too sweet and rich. It was prepared properly and this is a matter of taste. Decor was nice and the service was good. It was a lillte pricey but certainly not out of range for what you are getting. Wine list was good and reasonabley priced. Parking was on the street and can be a problem. The only real problem was the bar is not segregated from the dining area and it was very very noisey.

We met some friends at Zia's for my husband's Birthday. I had made the reservation on line and asked for a quiet table so we could all talk and that is what we got! The food was delicious and service was great. The waiter was pleasant, polite and efficient. We stayed for three hours and never felt like we had to rush through our meal. The flavor of the food and portions were generous and certainly worth the price. We would definitely go back to Zia's!

I have been to Zia's in the past for dinner. We were there for a work lunch, originally started with a party of 5. We ended up as a party of 3 at the last minute, and the staff was very accommodating. We chose to sit outside, which was a bit noisy at times since Zia's is right on 2nd Street, but it was too nice to sit inside (the inside is dark - great for evening romantic dinner). Lunch menu was very nice, reasonable prices for this type of restaurant with a variety of foods. There are gluten free and vegetarian options, and these are noted on the menu. The meal was brought in a timely fashion. Service was great. This is a great place for a date night, and their wine list is awesome, but it's also a great lunch spot!
