  • "I took a group of nine to lunch at Zia's. I had a reservation and the table was set up and ready when we arrived. The server handled taking the group's order in a timely manner and without any issues. The meals were served quickly and were delicious. All-in-all it was a very good experience."

  • "My husband and I had never been to Zia at Red Door and decided to give it a try. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed our meal. BUT, service truly left something to be desired. Our server shared that one of the servers had called off so they were one person short. There were several larger parties in the restaurant that night so a party of two was left to wait and wait and wait. The larger party next to our table had no clue that their conversations could be heard by the other tables in the room. The children were rather loud. We like children....we have our own....but.... As I said, we will try again as the food was delicious but service was truly lacking during our visit."

  • "The food was very good. Bartender had some issues making drinks consistently. Sever could have been more upbeat, but overall a good experience."

  • "the waiter was very curt and rude. definitely not able to handle children. pretty much lost his mind when the eight year old at the table spilled her water......really???? get a grip!"

  • "I had the pleasure of dining Saturday evening at Zia's and it was an enjoyable pleasure - Our server was terrific and very timely in all aspects and very familiar with the very Italian menu - Our meals arrived in a very timely manner and our entree's were very tasty and prepared perfectly I would definitely recommend this establishment as a great dinner destination in a very quaint section on downtown Harrisburg Sincerely, Greg"

  • "My wife and I went to Zia for a Valentine's Day dinner together and was happy with every aspect of our experience: 1. we were greeted immediately and ushered to our reserved table; 2. The waitress was pleasant and competent; 3. we ordered wine and it came within a few minutes. Moreover, the wine was excellent. My wife had a Chilean Cab. Sauv and I a Riesling; 4. The Thai calamari was the best calamari we ever had! The rings were plump and juicy and seasoned just right. The words "rubbery' or "overcooked" never crossed our minds. 5. I ordered a salad which came in between the appetizer and the entree. It was very fresh and not over done with dressing; 6. We both ordered the scallops over risotto, which were excellent! I highly recommend!"

  • "We have enjoyed Zia's for the last 5 years or so and they never disappoint. The service is always top notch. Very friendly and attentive to your dining needs while the food is consistently delicious! We usually only stop in on special occasions like first date, birthdays, valentines, etc. and our expectations are always met or exceeded."

  • "The service and wine selection were great. Atmosphere and food were ok. Dining room was very bland compared to the bar side. Would be good for a small group."

  • "We'd never been to Harrisburg, PA and spent New Year's Eve having dinner at this very attractive restaurant. Food was delicious and well prepared; service excellent. Definitely a must-do next time in Harrisburg!"

  • "The service was great, the food was even better! The dining room is quite. The front portion offers a view of downtown. This is a perfect location for an intimate dinner for two or a group of several. The wine list was better than average. We will make this a regular stop."

  • "Enjoyed an early New Year's Eve meal at Zia's and had a pleasant evening. They ran a limited menu because of the holiday crowds but there were still a good selection of dishes covering a range of tastes. Our server was very pleasant and helped with menu suggestions although service was a bit slower because of the holiday - that wasn't really an issue though as we enjoying a quiet holiday eve. Would definitely recommend Zia's for a romantic meal."

  • "The meal was great here as usual. The Thai calamari was unique and equally delicious. Chicken Parmesan comes with spaghetti I could swear there was one pound of carbs on the plate. I only ate the chicken. The waitress was extremely poor, when asked about specials we were told its in the menu. We inquired about how one of the dishes is prepared she did not know and she did not volunteer to find out. The previous wAit staff were very knowledgeable so maybe this one was new???"

  • "The food was good. I had a Filet Mignon that was very tender and cooked as I ordered. My companion had a pasta dish that she didn't like as the sause was too sweet and rich. It was prepared properly and this is a matter of taste. Decor was nice and the service was good. It was a lillte pricey but certainly not out of range for what you are getting. Wine list was good and reasonabley priced. Parking was on the street and can be a problem. The only real problem was the bar is not segregated from the dining area and it was very very noisey."

  • "We met some friends at Zia's for my husband's Birthday. I had made the reservation on line and asked for a quiet table so we could all talk and that is what we got! The food was delicious and service was great. The waiter was pleasant, polite and efficient. We stayed for three hours and never felt like we had to rush through our meal. The flavor of the food and portions were generous and certainly worth the price. We would definitely go back to Zia's!"

  • "We celebrated our 15th anniversary with Zia's and we are glad we did. An extensive Italian menu with wonderful specials. My hubby had the scallops and I had the Swordfish - both delicious. Do not leave without Tirimisu."

  • "Hosted guests at dinner and two of us ordered the chicken caesar sad. Normally, it's quite good but the chicken was dry and tasteless and the overall salad didn't appear to be well misxed."

  • "Zia's at Red Door accomodated a medium-size group, for lunch, on short notice. The food and service was excellent. The menu is extensive. So there is something which will appeal to anyone, making it a great place to take a group. I think it has the best food in the area for both lunch and dinner."
