Both times we did not want to dwell on the fascinating menu so had the set dinner. At $60 is on the low side of what Vancouver Japanese restaurants charge for omakase and, while a preset menu (with some variation) is not the same thing as omikase, they are not so different (chefs have their own pre-set ways) The food here is excellent, beautifully presented, made with care and inventiveness. And th restaurants understated, clean decor, relaxed friendly service, and relatively low level of noice provided pretty much exactly what we wanted: a great place for conversation punctuated by excellent food.7/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWild Mushroom SaladWild Mushroom salads are great.
