I've been to Zest several times, and the first visit was fine, but every meal since has been exponentially better. Their brunch is also lovely, and very affordable, particularly given how tasty the food is and the location.

Zest is my go-to neighborhood restaurant for those nights when there's nothing in the fridge, but I still want to eat something (relatively) healthy and affordable. I'm never disappointed. My favorite item by far is the tuna club and my husband's is the lamb shank sandwich. The food is always thoughtfully plated and the ingredients are fresh and local. For a great, no-fuss meal with healthy options for a reasonable price, this is the place to go on Barracks Row!

I really really like this spot. I took my 14y/o godson for an outing and he really enjoyed himself.
We ordered:
Falafel sandwich with mixed greens
Gazpacho
The falafel with mixed greens was good. The lemon tahini sauce was excellent and equally the salad dressing was great. The gazpacho, on the other hand, was too salty. I won't order that again, but I will continue to frequent this establishment as this is the only time I didn't like what I ordered.

I would like to caveat my "yes" recommendation. My table had a particularly inattentive, and at one point, rude waitress. It was our first time at Zest, and we were rather excited about our impending brunch experience, as Zest had received some very positive Yelp reviews. Unfortunately, our experience didn't match up with that of other Zest diners.

The food and cocktails were really good. Service could've been just a bit better and the hostess who tried to seat us in the back of a very, very empty restaurant got us off on the wrong foot. Thankfully, the food really made up for it.

This is a great standard for Sunday Brunch. Food is pretty good and usually less of a wait than other restaurants on Barracks Row. Service was a tad slow, but there weren't tons of employees as it's not a huge restaurant.
