rushed but not restaurant's fault - vibe is for fast moving dinner - we just felt tlike being slower, but being seated near the door and adjacent to bar area is not conducive to a couple who want to linger.

Nothing over-the-top, but consistently dependable good food. They have fair prices and proportions are generous. I hope they don't ever take the Cobb Salad off the menu, it's a fav.

This was a second visit. Service was friendly but a bit disorganized. A drink and salad order were overlooked which slowed down the entrees and left us in a rush One entree was barely warm. But we liked the ambiance, the menu is varied and the food tasted good. Will try again as it may have been an "off" night.

Overall a decent place, but don't go there for the higher end dinners - stick with the pizza & pasta dishes. Good drinks and and a very fair wine corkage fee ($13). High energy but a bit on the noisy side. Our waiter did not hear our order correctly and delivered the wrong dishes. They were very apologetic and did not charge us for the one meal and gave us two free desserts, so overall we were pleased.

We've eaten at Zeppos a number of times and will continue to go back. That said, we've noticed several times we've been given wait staff that seem to be in training. Pleasant but not very knowledgeable about the food, preparations or wines.

The service started off with requesting outdoor seating on the reservation. We were seated inside and had to wait for an outdoor table after we complained. Once we were seated the waiter was attentive but wasn't very aware of the menu. The small Cobb salad for $9.95 was a joke 1/3 of an egg 1/2 of a very thin chicken breast a teaspoon of bacon and perhaps an ounce of lettuce, no avocado or blue cheese. This is a childs portion not adults. The pear and beet salad was very lacking in the goat cheese. The wedge salad did not look appetizing and the soup arrived cold. With the many restaurants to pick from I choose to spend my money elsewhere.

I am on a tight schedule and was meeting someone there for a business lunch last Friday. I called ahead to make reservations to ensure we could get in and out in a timely manner. Arrived on-time for my reservation, checked in and watched while the hostess seated walk-ins who had arrived just before me. By the time she got to me and my guest -- there were no more tables available. We had to stand in the doorway waiting 15 minutes to get a table. Obviously, when someone makes a reservation, you are supposed to "reserve" a table for them. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, but no longer. If only they had tried to make up for the inconvenience, i.e. apologized, offered a complimentary beverage -- that would have consoled me.

The food is good and fresh and, for Lake Oswego, very reasonably priced. I do think that the caprese we had was overpriced, though it was good. Lots of profit in that one though. The server was friendly, smart and efficient as was all of the staff we encountered.

We were at Zeppos for Sunday breakfast and found the food to be only okay which surprised us as we have had very good breakfasts there before. The food was slow to come out of the kitchen despite the fact that the restaurant at 9:30 in the morning was nearly empty. The frittata/souffle was dry and tasteless and served only with bread, no hashbrowns, side fruit, etc. We cannot recommend this restaurant based on our last experience.

Our dinner was wonderful, wait staff helpful and friendly, we would definitely return. Only negative was the way the courses arrived. We hadn't finished our appetizers before the salads arrived which made our small table for four a little crowded. Then barely 7 to 8 minutes later our main courses came. There was obviously no room on the table so we asked if they could serve them later and were told that the kitchen was too crowded for the plates to be returned. This created a VERY crowded table!! The wait staff was very apologetic and kept returning to see if any of the salads were finished so that we could have more room....We realized the situation was not their doing and appreciated their attention. Food was wonderful!

Atmosphere was great, the food was great but the service was not great. Our server, #38, don't remember her name, was not up to par. My wife asked about the Caprese and the discription was not very good at all so she decided not to have it. The bread, that I thought would come with our meal, didn't come until we were almost done with our meal. Another person just delivered it to our table, not our waitress, without an apology. We will probably return again but hope we get better service. We were there last year and had Patrick Torres as our waiter and had a wonderful experiance which is why we returned. Hope to have a better experiance next time.

We enjoyed our dinner at Zeppos. When we first arrived, there was an emergency situation right at the entrance. An ambulance came and took care of a woman. Once that was taken care of, we could focus on our very good dinner. This is a crowded restaurant and reservations are recommended.

The service was very slow and our waitress was inattentive. (At one point, she focused more on a table of hers that was walking out than on taking our order.) The restaurant did not honor our request for outdoor seating. In addition, the hostess seemed to discourage waiting for an outdoor table in favor of filling the indoor section.

It has a great location, ambience and service. However as a food fanatic the food is not good enough. The calamari was fried in burnt oil, the pasta sauces are all too creamy and raven we ordered three different ones they all tasted the same. The pasta itself was good but the sauces were not. I cook better sauces. I would recommend it only to people who are not THAT strict to how to eat their pastas.
