"Nice experience on our second try. First time, they were overbooked with a group and wanted to put us in a conference room next to the restaurant with bright fluorescent lighting and a single, slim window in the corner looking out on the Charles, which is the whole point of going to this restaurant (nice expansive views of Boston and the Charles). Needless to say, we declined and rebooked, but we were shocked that they actually thought this would be an acceptable alternative to eating in the actual restaurant.

Looks like fair weather provides an outdoor patio (second floor) and eating experience overlooking the Charles."

"We were very happy that we were able to get reservations to the Easter Brunch Buffet this year. The setup and food were excellent. We needed some special accomodations this year and the staff at Zephyr gave us the perfect spot for our party of 5 plus service dog!"

"I have to agree with the majority of the reviews I read about Zephyr on the Charles. The view is really great, and the atmosphere is classy and comfortable. And the free parking was definitely appreciated. But the food was nothing special, especially considering the prices. The scallops appetizer we got cost $17 and consisted of exactly 3 average sized scallops. Shocking. If they would overhaul the menu and add more flavor at a more reasonable price, this place could truly be a gem."

"I am glad I selected Zephyr for Valentine's Day dining experience. The atomsphere was both elegant and cozy allowing for intimate conversation like would at home. I definitely enjoyed Valentine's Day menu selection with the exception of the Pear soup. My date and I both agee that we would return to try more dishes on other occasions. Our favorite dish was the steak and lobster claw. I definately would reccomend Zephyr on the Charles to my friends and co-workers."

"Took advantage of the special Valentine's Day menu offered the Saturday night prior and loved it. Delicious food, quantities quite adequate but not ridiculous, served well. Just the right amount of waitstaff attention. Got what I asked for in placement (near window and in quieter area). Am eager to return to try the regular menu, which looked terrific. Was quiet enough to really enjoy the conversation with my husband. Perfect!"

"Great place overall. Service was great - very attentive and helpful in making recommendations on wine and appetizers. Drinks were great - try the diamond margarita. Food was great as well. My only complaints: the dipping sauce that came with the bread was a bit weird and the great view was a bit hampered by glare on the windows. I know this nit-picky, but I already said everything was great so what else do you want? The bread dipping sauce was creative, but just wasn't really appetizing - it felt too heavy. I would have much rather had the traditional olive oil with a little pepper. And the view is great, but at night time when it's dark out, can't we do something to help with the glare?"
