We were there on Mother's Day and though they were very busy we were waited on promptly and all the wait staff were very polite, considerate and helpful. My wife and I found this to be a very pleasant stop over when going out to the wineries. This is a very well run restaurant that I recommend to most of my friends that do not know about it. The employee's are very nice and funny. the food is excellent. I have to this day not found anything that was not done right. The wine selection is very well put together. I would recommend the Red flight at 6 oz. so you could get a taste of what the wines are are about.
I would be back when I am town again.

Our server was quick and very helpful as we told him we had to catch a concert at the Bankhead Theater, so we were in and out in under an hour. The Artichoke Heart and Gruyere Dip was very tasty. The Grilled Pear Salad was also delicious, although a little small for the price, and could have used pecan halves instead of finely chopped pecans. Hubby had the Spring Menu's Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken, which came with roasted red potatoes and broccoli rabe. The fig sauce on the chicken was a nice contrast to the slight saltiness of the prosciutto and the chicken was moist. Whether you are seated at a table, in the second room, at the chef bar, or the drink bar, you will always receive superior service. I recommend making reservations on busy nights, but even then, the wait is minimal and eating at the bar can be a lot of fun. Zephyr's wine list is really robust, and features Livermore Valley, Napa, Central Coast and foreign vintners. Their mixed drink selection is also pretty good, and they serve Concannon Irish Whiskey -- which can be hard to find even though it is Livermore made.
