Zento Contemporary Japanese Cuisine + Sake Bar
Wonderful Find while visiting PhilaThe food was delicious, the service was very friendly and efficient, and the prices were reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Japanese cuisine.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and great serviceHaving never been there before, we were thrilled with Zento. Besides being quickly seated and greeted by our waitress, we were paid attention to throughout the evening. They were attentive and not overbearing. The food was great, be sure to try the lobster tempura. Ambiance was unique and comfortable. Try it you'll like it.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMSome of the best sushi in PhillyThe square sushi and white tuna sashimi alone were worth the trip!5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Sushi Experience in PhillyThe family and I went here for mother's day dinner. All of the entrees (Chirashi, Sushi Combo, a few specialty rolls) were incredibly fresh and beautifully-presented. When we first sat down it was a bit drafty, but we mentioned it to our server and he immediately fixed the problem. The motto at Zento seems to be 'Above and Beyond'. Definitely my favorite sushi restaurant in Philadelphia.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Service and Sushi. DrinksGreat Service and Sushi. Drinks were better than most upscale bars.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great first sushI andHad a great first sushI and sake experience only thing I would change is where I was seated it was upstairs next to the ice machine and sink5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat space, great food!My friends and I wanted to try a new sushi place with good food and lots of room to enjoy (our favorite joint is way too small). The decor here is so cool, and the staff put our orders in, but waited to make them until our friend, who was running late, arrived! I stuck with the basics (spicy tuna and yellowtail rolls), while my friend got the Volcano roll.Definitely worth a taste!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways fresh. The staff isAlways fresh. The staff is excellent. The only complaint I ahev is that the dishes all came out so quickly that we did not have an excuse to linger.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMBest sushi in the city! The sushi was amazing. s we plan to trying Zento out again, and trust we'll enjoy it!3/2/2013 12:00:00 AMWe got the shrimp dumplingsWe got the shrimp dumplings and 4 different sushi rolls...all were outstanding!
The white peach cosmo was very tasty!3/1/2013 12:00:00 AMWe went to Zento with a LivingWe went to Zento with a Living Social deal which gave us a 7 course tasting menu meal. I don't think this is actually offered on the menu but it should be. It was delicious! The miso soup with mussels was probably the best miso soup we've ever had. The salad was pretty good but a bit wilted. The crab cakes were good but not great. The fish carpaccio left me wanting 4 more plates of it! Next we had a nicely flavored chicken teriyaki which we thoroughly enjoyed. At this point we were still pretty hungry and were delighted with the mixed plate of sushi and rolls which came next. Dessert did not disappoint- green tea mochi and lychee cheesecake. We left the restaurant completely sated! Hip, chic atmosphere with great background music.12/8/2012 12:00:00 AM
