We had a pre-theater meal at Zenga. We eat out quite a bit so I feel I'm in a fairly good position to evaluate the food relative to similar options in town. The wait staff was incredibly charming and helpful. Some of the food combinations were a bit odd - though the waitress definitely tried to steer us away from some things. The problem was: some of the dishes were too salty to eat! Specifically the large plate scallops and the large plate chicken special. If we weren't rushing to catch a show at woolly mammoth i would have sent it back asap - for the price point - the was ridiculous!

Restaurant was a little quiet, most likely because we went on a Sunday night. I ordered the "soup" dumplings (there was no soup involved) and vermicelli, while my date had fried tofu and edamame. The food and drinks were a little pricey - good, but I'm guessing that you're also paying for the presentation. Would come here again, but not too often.

I really enjoyed the food. The Asian/Latin Fusion cuisin was definitly a winner. Great ambiance. The pricing was very reasonable considering the location. I will definitely be going there again. Great choice if you are doing a dinner and a show.
