Zengo - NYCGNOWe had a bday dinner for my friend and chose this restaurant based on the fact that it was walking distance from Grand Central. We were very pleased by the food and the interesting margaritas. The menu is diverse and interesting and everything we ordered we were very happy with.
Our server was a doll, but a little slow at the end of the night when we were trying to get our bill.

Celebrated special birthday there. Service and recommendations great. We love Richard Sandoval restaurants and this was no exception. Everything was flavorful and unique. Loved the tamarind martini, chicken empanadas, charred tuna tacos. We requested regular guacamole, which was not on menu, and it was no problem. Our main dishes were sushi, crunchy calamari salad, churrasco steak and cod. We had malanga ice cream and churros for dessert. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The Flatbreads are especially tasty if you are looking for lighter bite and the Duck Confit tacos (with sliced Apple wrappers) are exceptional. The food is just amazing and the decor is superb. An outing that will be remembered by your guests for a long time. And they know how to make great cocktails. Great Latin influence in the cuisine and the food melts in your mouth....Yum!!!! Get the shortribs or the steak. The roasted salmon leaves a great aftertaste and melts in one's mouth.

We decided to share 5 small plates between the two of us and were more than satisfied. They have a gluten-free menu which was a big help to me as I am gluten sensitive. Was a little noisy but we did not have any trouble hearing each other talk. Would highly recommend it! The Scallop ceviche was amazing, however it was much larger than I expected - I was only able to eat about half of the portion. The Miso Black Cod was also very well done, but the accompanying vegetables weren't the best. My dining companion had the flank steak and said it was amazing. Our waiter was very nice, but also very scattered. He would take our request and check on us a bit later and then suddenly remember he had forgotten to bring us what we asked for. The only reason I am rating it four stars is because one of our appetizers was not correct and the entrees took a little longer than expected. The restaurant took care of this and sent over several complimentary items as well as a taste of one of the better tequilas the has to offer. The manager came by the table as well as the E.C. to ensure that our experience was great.
